You are an angel, THanks
It worked!!! ive been trying for ages to remove that. Thanks
Have you been able to make sales?
Yes Shopify but as always you totally change and move things basically every week without so much of a notification, so this video might be totally wrong in a couple of months.. Fantastic
Hm it worked for me just now.
completely correct lol, trying to do this now and the 3 dots are replaced with a whole different function
yep 7 months later can't figure it out... would think paying $39 a month would remove it but yeah idk, looking at possibly moving shopify is awful. trash company

Thanks for watching!
How do you get support? There's no option but community and the help center articles. This won't help me at all with my account specific questions! I cannot get any help at all and I have a real issue with my account.
Thank you so much Mam

I am so glad I read this comment! The simple step isn't working, and I was leary about messing with the code
Thank you for information!
Glad you enjoyed the video!

What about where it says "Autocomplete powered by google"? Should we change that to be our own brand name? I'm not even sure what that is. Thanks for the help.
Hi, Queen. Google Autocomplete for address forms allows for an easier and quicker checkout experience. However, you don't necessarily need to edit this area. You can find more information here: shopify.link/N2P6.
@@ShopifyHelpCenter Thank you so much. Wow, you answered me really quickly. I appreciate it.
I did that and the “powered by Shopify” disappeared as I wanted. But I got a language selector on my website and whenever I choose other language the “Powered by Shopify” appears again in that language
Hi there. It sounds like the language selector is reverting the changes. You may need to edit the translations for the "Powered by Shopify" text in your theme settings. You can learn more here: shopify.link/lDpD

Hi, Sara! Thanks for getting in touch. I recommend reaching out to us through the Help Center so we can look into the error further: shopify.link/D8kd. Simply enter the details of your issue into the chat assistant and click "I still need help" to be connected with a Support Advisor. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
How can some one use shopify to sell a service.A tutorial will be highly useful.
Hi, there. Thanks for reaching out! That is a great question. Essentially, the difference is that instead of selling products that are physical things that you ship to your customers, selling services means you're offering intangible things that provide value, directly to clients without the need for shipping. We have some information on our help center about selling services or digital products that I would recommend checking out here: shopify.link/pbB6.
The best way is to run ads, have you done any ads ?

Nice video made with ai 👍🏼
That’s a real person
Hello, it now says "2024, My Store" How can I get rid of my store and only have 2024?
Hi Tropoj! By following the steps in the video you can replace the precreated text with anything you like. Entering a single space as shown in the video is an easy way to leave it empty, but you can change that to whatever suits your brand.
Hello, yes I did just a space but for some reason powered by shopify was replaced with my store and I can't get rid of it@@ShopifyHelpCenter
If your store is showing up in the text box where you previously entered the space, try following these steps again: shopify.link/0QGk. We can take a look at the settings with you if you contact us via the Shopify Help Center: shopify.link/D8kd.
Not working anymore
Hi, there! Thanks for taking the time to comment on our video! Are you able to outline for us what doesn't seem to be working for you? Are you saying that the steps outlined in the video do not address a question you have? Are you experiencing an issue with your store or account? The more information you can provide us, the better we can assist you!
I did all the steps and it still says "powered by shopify"
Hi there, thanks for reaching out! If you're still seeing "Powered By Shopify" within your footer, I'd encourage you to connect with our support team directly: shopify.link/wkr6. This will allow them to take a closer look and ensure it gets removed.
@@ShopifyHelpCenter thanks alot!
u need to press save dog
Still there
Hey, there! Thanks for reaching out. Just to confirm, you followed the steps in the tutorial, and "Powered by Shopify" is still appearing in the footer?
@@ShopifyHelpCenter
I found the problem.
I’m trying to remove it from the password protected coming soon page. So I removed the code from (main-password-footer.liquid) instead of (footer.liquid) thank you
Shopify starter how to Remove "Powered By Shopify"?
Hey, Joe! You can remove the 'Powered by Shopify' by following along with this guide here - shopify.link/JmxK
@@ShopifyHelpCenter I have not see this setup(Edit the default theme content/Edit the theme code),because my shopify is starter plan?
Hi there, Joe! Thanks for clarifying! If your store is on the Starter plan you do not have access to the full Online store sales channel and will be limited in the edits you can make there: shopify.link/Pd83.
Does not work on Dawn Theme have done everything in this video and have had many Shopify or should I say built many Shopify store. But Shopify still cannot help putting their own branding on something that my customers pay for. This should not be allowed and if so it should be opt in not forced on people.
Especially if you are not a coding expert and again do not work on Dawn theme maybe on older themes but the fact is Shopify is getting free advertising on websites that are paid for and not the cheapest platform either. Plenty of others to choose from and it just really grinds on me.
How about this does Shopify FANCY ADVERTISING MY STORES ON THEIR WEBSITE...? No guess not, also could totally understand if it was on the free trial etc but it is not. Shocking really...!
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I want to assure you that the instructions provided in this tutorial absolutely work on the Dawn theme as I have tested this personally.
If you're still experiencing issues with removing the desired content, then our Live Team would be more than happy to assist here: shopify.link/D8kd.
I have the Dawn theme and it worked fine for me. You might want to contact Support to help you through it.
Same here man! I even have a paid for store that I paid $200 for and still have their bullshit. Avoid Shopify if you want a smooth easy e-commerce experience. I hear WooCommerce is starting to take over head over there.
Is it for free?
Hello! Shopify isn't entirely free, but it does offer a free trial. After that period, you will need to choose a pricing plan to continue using the platform. Review plans and features here: shopify.link/1GL6.
If you're interested in learning more about Shopify I would definitely recommend checking out our FAQ page here: (shopify.link/J14x). Were you thinking of starting a business?
@@ShopifyHelpCenter I have a Shopify plan .I have a store. Removing powered by Shopify button is for free?
Sure, there is no charge to do this! You can play the video and follow the steps to remove it from your website.
@@ShopifyHelpCenter thnx.have u made a video on how to add legal policy?
Here’s your quick and easy guide to creating store policies, what to include in them, and how to add them to your online store: shopify.link/qa5m.
Why should there be a video about such a simple step? Just deactive it by default...
You must not have seen all the posts by the people who are still having trouble doing it. I wouldn't have known how to do it without instruction. We're not all techies.
Tbh i was having trouble wit it😂

As someone who is decent with computers but hasn’t done coding, I have to say Shopify is 💩
I just signed up a few days ago and it’s already doing my head in with how non user friendly it can be.
Feels like so much unnecessary steps to set up what was supposed to be a simple website
Now I’m almost done with the design, but yet to load products however I can’t remove a big white section between templates
I waited forever on their chat and finally get told I’d have to hire a code expert to remove it
WTF why? Every other section is removable but this one? Why are you forcing me to pay someone when I’m already paying you and you can’t even talk to someone it’s all chat
It’s such a headache and I’m not prepared to touch code even though I’ve seen several answers online of how to fix it on other themes and also created a duplicate
I want to punch shopify in the face, I don’t know what possessed me to try and learn shopify and photoshop in the same week but between the 2 I’ve been swearing a lot this week and starting to feel old
Hey, Donald!
I'm sorry to hear about your frustrating experience with Shopify. It can be overwhelming when you're new to a platform and facing challenges in setting up your website. It's understandable that you're feeling frustrated and discouraged.
While Shopify aims to provide a user-friendly experience, it's true that certain customization options may require some technical knowledge or assistance.
The white section you mentioned might be a limitation within the specific theme you're using, which is why the support representative suggested hiring a code expert to remove it. Can you tell me if it is a third party theme that you're currently using?
@@ShopifyHelpCenter hi I’m using ‘studio’ and the white area is at the bottom between templates
As I’ve chosen a black background, a roughly 2 inch thick white section between them running the width of the page is really off putting
Thanks so much! Do you have any idea how this might have occurred? Did you implement any coding in your theme or install any apps that might have affected your store?
@@ShopifyHelpCenter no, I only just started putting the store together yesterday. When I got to this section it was already there.
I wouldn’t even know how to do those things
For this, you will need to reach out to live support, as this is the only secure way we can access your account. Our live support can be reached here: shopify.link/mLA Please follow the prompts given by the virtual Help Center assistant in order to access our live chat support. Thanks so much! -Ivy
