  • Brand New for 2019 is the CZ 457 Royal 22lr rifle. This CZ 457 Rimfire is a complete new model of rifle and different to the previous CZ 455, CZ 452 etc.
The new CZ 457 rifle features an American style stock, which is finished with a laminate wood forend cap. The stock of the CZ 457 Royal includes swivel studs fitted to allow for a bipod or rifle sling to easily be attached.
Finished with lovely checkering on the forend and pistol grip, it adds a nice finishing touch to this CZ rifle.
For the new 2019 CZ 457 Royal, CZ have gone back to a metal magazine and magazine cap on this 22lr rifle and you will also find that the new CZ 457 has an adjustable trigger.
This video is an unboxing of the brand new CZ 457 and a short little CZ 457 rifle review. For any more information on this rifle then please feel free to get in touch.
Some of the new features included on this CZ 457 Royal are a bolt release catch on the side of the action. This can be easily pressed to remove the bolt, rather then needing to use the trigger like on the CZ 455.
You will also find a cocking indicator on the back of the 22lr rifle bolt.
Finally, on the end of the CZ rifle barrel is a 1/2" x 20 UNF thread to allow for the fitment of a sound moderator.
If you would like to watch any of our other rifle review videos then we have a selection of them on our CZcams channel.

Thanks for the review very nice CZ, had a 452 previously. Also thanks for the tip on barrel threading. Have a Browning t bolt clearly factory threaded. Also Have a CZ 527.223 night sky edition. Was supposed to come factory threaded 14/1. However when i picked it up i noted the silver color threading, and it was half by twenty, not as stipulated on the CZ website. Clearly not factory threaded.

I love the 457. They reduced the bolt throw to 60 degrees! Now you can use medium and low rings and the bolt will clear the optic. The action is sized nicely, the trigger is good, and you can change calibers if ya wanna. Even with the model # cut into the stock, it is still much better looking than those tactical looking synthetic stocks. quality is there. nice rifle and thanks for the video

I agree with Dunc R , I wouldn't buy something with that laser carving on the stock , nor do I care for the checkering pattern or the step down from the action to the forearm . I do appreciate the fact that a scope can be mounted lower . Action looks good , but I think this "American" style stock is merely someone's idea of what Americans like . I have a 452 in .22 l.r. and one in .22 magnum . If you want to see what an American type stock looks like , look at one of these . Personally I won't be buying any ugly guns .

This is not a nicely done gun, as you put it. It is juast a cheap gun, with laser cut checkering and the most awful imprint on the side if the stock. The sling swivel studs are badlly fitted into the stock, as is the bottom mechanism. Using Torx head screws just confirms the bad taste and adds to the cheap look. This being said, the gun might very well be shooting accurately.

Too bad with a stroke of the pen your gun privileges can just disappear in the U.K. and all those beautiful firearms in this gun shop could be confiscated and destroyed. It's time for a constitution and gun rights in every nation around the world to thwart despotism and tyranny. CZ stocks are beautiful junk, I own 3 CZ rifles and 2 of them had the stock crack at the rear of the receiver after only a few shots. Turkish walnut is too brittle and CZ is not too careful to only use straight grain 1/4 sawn wood, so often the grain ends behind the receiver and a small triangular chip will pop out after only a few shots, fortunately they have excellent warranty service and made them right. There are several You Tube videos on cracked CZ stocks, it's a problem CZ knows about.

This is an un-boxing of a brand new rifle. As you can see throughout the whole video we do know about the rifle and explain differences between this new model and the previous models. This video is in now way supposed to be a full thorough review.

I can assure you that you guys sound almost as ridiculous to us when you say zeeee, we're just a bit more used to hearing American accents than the other way round I suppose. It started as zeta in Greek, then zede in old French and other romantic languages then zed by 1500s english. The e in zeta would rhyme with the e in they.
