    Man I just ordered me a CZ 457 Lux in 22 mag of course. Man I studied it for an hour or 2 before and you’re right, it is extremely high craftsmanship, truthfully, they could almost charge double. I cannot wait for mine to come in next week.

    Just bought a 457 Canadian model, it's got a red walnut stock with the Canadian maple leaf embossed on it in 3 places. Absolutely love the look of this rifle, now to get a scope for it and try it out. The Canadian model comes with a 20" barrel and no iron sights so a scope is a must. In future I'm considering changing out the barrel to a 17 HMR which CZ supply as a kit.

    You don't need the receiver tapped. There is an integral 11mm dovetail. CZ sells scope rings that fit the dovetail, (other brands do also) and they are relatively inexpensive. Or you can buy a scope base - 0MOA, 20MOA, etc. - from a few different mgrs. e.g., Area 419 that slide onto the dovetail and are secured with screws on the side.

    P.S. You can also decock 457s, so no need to dry fire or use snap caps.I also believe all 457s have the facility to mount a scope with the integral 11mm dovetail, although I am not 100% certain about this.

That is how you should be able to decock this rifle.

      I'm in the same boat with irons. Check out J&P springs. They make an aperture blade that replaces the rear notch. You can get a three piece set with 1/16, 3/32 and 1/8" apertures. I ordered two in 3/32" since I have several CZ's. I use the Warne quick release rimfire mounts for when I want a scope.

      All he would have to do is pull the bolt and press the firing pin, if it doesn't go into the breechface he's good to go. I have watched some heated debates on this, but some 457s do and some don't. Either way it's easy to find out. Nice rifle though man.

      I understand now. But concerning your response to my remark about dry firing a rim fire,I've heard countless gun enthusiasts and even gun manufacturers who recommend against it. That was one of the first things I learned about rim fire. I know there are a few exceptions, but that's the general rule. Yes,they are your guns, not mine. But I have to say,I've made numerous comments on many gun channels, and never received such a condescending response! If you want more people to subscribe, you might want to treat people with more respect. I'm afraid you have a very poor attitude. And I don't honestly see where my comment was deserving harsh. I was simply giving my opinion. Wish you well!

    @daveanddanniejacobs9432 Před 10 měsíci +5

    I've seen where you've been catching hell over dry firing your rifle. Lmao CZ and Ruger and most gun manufacturers want you to dry fire the gun. Ruger actually recommends you to practice with dry fire no snap caps. To get a really good feel of the trigger. A well built firearm should never malfunction break or tare up just because of dry firing. That's simply a myth me n my own father have argued about repeatedly. So hey guys practice that dry firing all you want to n not that u would but just don't pay no attention to the uneducated. Have a good day.

      I know but you know you can’t argue with anyone. As the Bible says…”every man is right in his on eyes.” I have broken the firing pin on a .22 revolver from dry firing, but that was on me because you shouldn’t dry fire a rimfire revolver, but like your said most everything else is fair game and I don’t listen to the people who say differently. @@GSquaredTacticalI think it comes down more to the age of the firearm. Newer firearms seem to be ok dry firing. The 10/22 manual says to dry fire after re assembly of the firearm after cleaning to seat itself.
