Thank you! Good job. I’m a grandma of 77 years old in Holland ! Maybe now I can apply as a plumber thanks to you😂
Great video, perfectly explained. I am a female without much experience in this field but thanks to your video I feel confident I can do the job, I really cannot afford a plumber. Thank you so much
Good job man, my tap leaks like crazy from the top so now i know why and how to fix it
Great video. The tip with the tape worked a treat
I am convinced the manufactures make the taps so tight that you have to throw it away and buy another as you can never replace the valves without ruining it. Thanks
I always learn something new from your videos - thank you!
👍👍👍
Great video Bill. I actually need to do this for one of my outdoor taps as it's decades old and is now slightly leaking. Thanks!

You should buy a Better Grip Wrench set, as they easily remove stripped fittings/nuts.
Mate always hold against yourself with another spammer otherwise you run the risk of something snapping off . Good luck to you
❤super helpful
Good video Bill. i know you are careful not to put too much torque on a stuck spindle to unscrew in fear of bending or dislodging the cooper pipe base. Do you ever have to apply a heat source on it to facilitate the loosening of a stuck spindle ?
Hi Bill, what advice do you have for an external tap that has flexible pipe inside brick? I'm looking to change my 3 taps outside, but a plumber had issues with one tap that was twisting the pvc inside the wall. Thanks.
How long for water to drain through once you off the water supply?
All good but no sure about WD-40
Thanks for the tutorial. If you call the pro out, they would generally replace the tap than spending the extra time fixing it right?
Depends on who you call out and what the issue is.
we are all guilty of "he manning" taps shut long after we should have replaced the washers, but this looks like it was an extreme case!
Definitely 👍
And "she-wommaning" / "stripping" the seal when trying to get to the old washer...
Probably the homeowner noticed it leaking a little and then tried to over tighten it to stop it leaking and made it worse by completely breaking it... that's my guess, that's probably a common reason
can you now take the repaired tap back to that house and install it please
"Why does the tap keep dripping?"
"Because someone overtightened it"
"Why did they overtighten it?"
"Because the tap wouldn't stop dripping..."
Do you ever keep all the old brass from jobs to sell as scrap metal?
isn't your brother a plumber 🤣 putting him out of business fairly quick with your plumbing videos
Lol , one day he will join me👍
Had nothing to do with my leaking tap. Waste of time.
