So the flashy ones with a big budget, over-the-top outfits and forced involvement of big name characters. Might wanna save the time and just watch clips of the action scenes on youtube.

movie 6 is my favourite because of how unique it is, its so cool that a respected director like mamoru hosoda was involved with a shonen, definetely recommend any of his films(the girl who leapt through time, summer wars, wolf children, the boy and the beast) they are up there with ghibli
That was him??? I KNEW the art reminded me of something, that makes so much sense!
We shouldn't also forget the writer, Masahiro Ito, who did the creature design for the early Silent Hill games and worked as an art director for Silent Hill 2. I think, he really did contributed to the dark atmosphere of movie 6.

1 question does movie 14 have any spoilers for future one piece? ( I am in zou arc right now)
sweet
Movie 6 is the one I remember the most, because of that dark shift. This was pretty cool, you could do the same ranking for filler arcs too
I like Omatsuri just fine but it's not my favorite, because it's more interested in being its own arthouse thing and not, y'know, a One Piece movie. I mean, I can't imagine the Straw Hats having relationship issues over stuff we know they brush off in other contexts. It feels like a Hosoda vehicle but with OP characters pasted in.
As a Hosoda fan, that might explain why I'm so forgiving towards Omatsuri's faults in that regard.
Weâre can I watch movie 6 ? đđ
I loved how dark that movie got. It was such a surprise. I wish they would have a bit more darkness in the movies
Movie 6 is definitely a great one to watch and one of my favorites. However, for me personally, it has to be Movie 4. It's the first One Piece movie that feels like it really expands the scenery and world beyond "random jungle/island." The entire portion of the movie before the race begins when they are just hanging out in the Pirate area felt so huge and it was so surreal to see a place that was meant for JUST pirates; which hadn't happened when this came out as they hadn't reached Jaya yet." Also, like GLR said, having an actual fight take place entirely at sea is so rare for One Piece, but to have it do so right next to a giant hurricane made for INSANE tension that could be physically felt. #4 will always be my favorite for these reasons.
'Love child of Ace and Trafalgar Law'... Welp now you've done it

I used to rewatch the Episode of Alabasta every year when I was younger. Alabasta was one of my favorite arcs backs then (it still is, but with arcs like Water 7/Enies Lobby, Saboady, Whole Cake, etc., it keeps getting put further down the list) and the movie was such a fun and cathartic way to experience that easier and in much less time. I'll always remember it fondly because of that

I really don't know why but I watched Gold before I even started One Piece, but I enjoyed it and that is one of the main reasons I started One Piece, and because I kinda forgot about what happened in the movie, I really didn't even spoil myself.
Film Gold is a movie I'd show to someone who hasn't seen One Piece and wants to get into it. It's got a cool setting, good villain and side characters and it has the vibe of going through an entire arc
Should i start with it
Never heard of Gold being the gateway for someone for OP. That's awesome!
@@fan4every1lol89 Sure. Treat it like a litmus test to see if you like what One Piece does since it's putting the strongest aspects of it on display. If you end up liking it, then definitely invest your time reading the manga. You can watch the anime too if that's what you're inclined towards though the quality can be inconsistent. Whichever you choose, it's time well spent
Where did you guys watch it
While watching the Stampede movie, Iâm convinced that movie was one of Odaâs original endings and his visions on how he was going to end the show. But things have changed and he has a new ending in mind, so he chose to make it a filler movie. I felt a lot of â This is a final arc â moments in the in the movie.
Zoro fighting a admiral, a log pose to Laugh Tale, all the worst generations, the warlords appearing, Cp-0, tons of Buggy, one of Rogers crew, Usopp giving his heart out. Government hiding stuff. Giant war and a buster call.
Thereâs so much stuff that I feel like this was one of Odas original endings, and one of One Pieces biggest hints to what will happen in the final arc. Probably a must watch if you still wondering whatâs will happen next
There is an arc after wano which is banana island arc but its only in the manga
â@@thornsiskool5347 banana island arc?? Do you mean egghead?
That's such an interesting theory and now that I think about it, it totally makes sense!
we had no idea how big film red was gonna be lol
Baron Omatsuri island will always hold a spot in my heart cause it was actually the first time the Straw-Hats almost faced complete annihilation before they arrived in Sabaody and seeing such despair in Luffy at the time was startling to me. I feel like it was a good movie to prepare us for what was to come.
True!
It's my favorite One piece film followed by Z and strong world.
Luffy:hey guys look an a pin cushion lol.
Flowery:welcome to the underground where its kill or be killed
Strawhats:wrong series!!

As much as Luffy's tears hit me in sabaody, it didn't do it like Luffy waking up after Marineford cause I knew the crew wasn't dead, but I knew Ace was...
Dead end adventure is still one of my favorite movies
" You're the one who doesn't understand what a pirate is... gaspard"
for whatever reason it was my first exposure to One Piece and I felt like it did a really good job of introducing the characters, getting me invested in the world and showcasing both the action and exploration/adventure of the one piece world, great film
Same here! Everybody gets high on Strong World and the following.... I fell asleep in the cinema watching SW and Stampede.....

Dead End Adventure on its own works really well.

i think i heard a theory once that film 6 can be canonised as a fever dream luffy suffered during Water 7 and honestly i really like it
I watched the last film with a group of others at a convention too and have to agree with your commentary. Cheering with everyone as each of the characters were revealed on screen was great
Stampede has a very special place as I cried so hard in the cinema with my friend purely because of Usopp
I tried finding a pirated version for an hour yesterday, unfortunately cant find a place to stream, rip
@@jackmacdonald3298 Really? I found it quite easily.
Yea stampede had usopp as the most important strawhat except luffy and maybe zoro. Always nice to see usopp in the bright light.

yup just super happy about movie 6. Dark AF, interesting story, original artstyle which totally fits the vibe
The history and fall of the main antagonist and Gold really got to me. His personal tragedy taught him the wrong lesson about the value of money and it twisted him into something his true love wouldn't have recognized.
I feel like most of the one piece films are like animation fan service in a good way......
Stampede was. Most of the new ones were pretty good stories.
That one 3D film like
The last 4 which 95% of people here only care about, yeah. The earlier movies are a little more than that, while having lower budgets.
I remember watching Film 6 and thinking during the big reveal âThis just went from chill to dark real quick!â Honestly, if you hate dark plotlines, avoid Film 6.
Film 6 is what made me start watching One Piece. My childhood friend has been trying to convince me into OP for years but I wasn't interested because I wasn't into shounen in the past but one evening Film 6 was broadcast on TV and I thought it looked interesting.
It was INCREDIBLE. I loved it and it made me intrigued in knowing more about the Straw Hat crew.
I think Film 6 works really well as a stand-alone movie as it has a solid plot. I cried really hard even though I wasn't familiar with the Straw Hats.
10/10 recommend.
Film 6 is what snipereyepatchwolf said some new people should watch to just understand how the crew is.
even though it's dark as fuck I think it still captures a lot of what makes the series great
what's the title of film 6
@@mystxc1028 baron omatsuri and the secret island
so youre not gonna talk about the moment in stampede that made my heart skip a beat? the moment at the end when sabo is standing back to back with a flame version of ace?! bruh that made me cry
My only problem for one piece stampede was that except for luffy and usopp, it didn't feature the other straw hats so much. But that being said it was an action packed movie and we did get a reunion of sorts with all the characters that we loved over the 20 years. Hopefully the next movie would be more straw hat centric.
Aside from the Broly movie , Infinity War, and Endgame, I have never screamed or cheered while watching something as much as I did watching Stampede with my brother on Opening night.

The 6th film is too me the best for being so unique and dark. Never before had one piece gotten so dark and it was all done extremely well. I loved it and have never really gotten that feeling from anything else One Piece sense.
3:40 this movie just sounds like that one side quest in a game that not everyone did but everyone who did do the quest loved it
Movie 6 is my favorite movie out of all of them, i watched it together with my friend in school and i really enjoyed the dark plot and the different art style!
I think the guy who wrote the script or helped write it was the person who made boy and the beast and the girl who leapt through time.
@@felixowen2693
Yes, Hosoda Mamoru! His artstyle is incredibly easy to spot and his directory work is incredible. Definitely why Film 6 is so good
I would also say you should watch One Piece Episode 0 before you get into Strong World, it makes Shiki a much more compelling villain when you can see his history with Roger and stuff behind the movie and I probably would not love Strong World (my personal favourite) as much as I do if I hadn't watched Episode 0 first.
Note for myself: Dead end adventure, secret Island, Bloom in the winter, Miracle Sakura, Strong World, Z, Gold
You should rank the specials too, I really liked heart of gold even though the villian ended up being a pushover, him being an elite treasure hunter and capturing someone from a cp0 agent was cool. From a storytelling standpoint it was fantastic even if the threat never really came full circle.

Stampede: HeRe ComE tHe WaPoL pIrAtEs
wait but Wapol isnt even a pirate now, hes a king dammit
I don't get it
@@TheNaturalGamer1 After Wapol's defeat, he ended up wandering and accidentally created a new alloy called Wapol steel, which he used it to start a business and soon became super rich, so he paid the gov and started a new nation, thus becoming the king. Franky is also a buyer of Wapol steel, and most of his equipment (like Franky General) is made from Wapol steel. So technically, Wapol wouldn't even need to run from the Marine, hes got diplomatic immunity.
They didn't even throw Bonclay but they gave us Wapol what a shame

It's after Strong World, Oda start to partake in storyboarding and try to canonize with the main storyline.
Just what I was looking for. Was thinking of watching the One Piece movies, but I'm overwhelmed. This was helpful!
I was SEARCHING for this for days, thanks
I have seen the 3D film, come on man it's not so bad! The team fight in the end is pretty good, as we rarely see the whole crew fighting together. Also, the story about the old pirate and his dog actually got me, it was pretty emotional.
Same. I fought it was alright
Stampede is a nonstop celebration of characters and action. My fav by far
same it is the goat movie
What about the OVA with Ganzack? How would you rate that?
Also, where do you find the movies online to watch them?
9:01 IS THAT LUFFY ACTUALLY USING A GUN
Yup
oh shit your right
Yea during that scene which is made to look like a yakuza clash the strawhats all come in wearing suits and wielding guns. Zoros has three barrels
There where so many targets, Luffy was going to hit someone, no matter what direction he aimed.
Clockwork Island no bouken was actually the first OP movie I ever saw back in 2006 and I loved it. It also interestingly features some voice actors that got much more profilic villain roles in the anime later on, for example Bear King is voiced by Genda Tesshou who does Kaido, Pin Joker by Tanaka Hideyuki who was Doflamingo and so on. Even Rebecca's seiyuu Hayashibara Megumi was voicing that Honey Queen character who'd pretty much be the most incompetent op devil fruit user in all of One Piece if she was canon.
One Piece: Strong World was definitely top 1.
Strong World is king of One Piece filler for me
100 percent best movie by far
@Dylan Ogega Most people seem to only care about art and animation quality, how much flashy shit happens, and how many admirals/supernovas/Roger era pirates appear
Yeah. We can obviously feel the touch of Oda's One Piece style. The moment when SHP crew came to a whole new mysterious island, landed separately, the battle development, alternative heroine, and more.
@Dylan Ogega
What else is Nami good for? Lol
If they're not out at sea using her navigation skills she's a liability who does next to nothing but complain. I'm toward the end of Whole Cake in the manga right now and Luffy has to tell her to shut the hell up she's so bad. I'm just thinking, "FINALLY someone said it!" Haha
I watched Stampede with my brother and we had a blast watching it, the way you described this one was perfect I think
I remember watching movie6 as a kid... And only thing I remember about it was that it traumatized me so much that it gives me chills whenever I see that art style they used in that movie. Something about that movie actually spooked me alot. I think the anis loby arc has that art style too.
Shuraya from movie 4 reminded me of Law, he lost his sister in an accident that inevitably killed everyone else in the town, but in this case his sister and the person who saved her survived. It made me come up with a theory: What if this was foreshadowing that Lammy(Law'sysister) was alive some how. We never saw her die on screen and in one piece, if there's no body, chances are they're alive somewhere.
I know the movie isn't cannon and Law and Shuraya are far from connected story wise, but you must admit that the similarities are there, but then again, maybe it's just me
9:00. For some reason this one clothing style is probably my favorite Iâve seen yet. The strawhats in black clothes with guns appeal to me for some reason.
I've been meaning to look at which movies were with watching and this was in my feed today. very useful!
gold is my favorite, the aesthetic was great and it was overall a good time! baron omatsuriâs vibes are great too, the style is a lot of fun
Stampede was by far my favorite movie. Probably because the fights and characters are my favorite aspect of One Piece, and this had everything I wanted from a One Piece movie. Dynamically animated balls-to-the-wall battle sequence and a massive cast of familiar characters.
Interesting! i dont know why i dont Like it this much...
I think bullet was super boring compare to z
I prefer strong, movie 6 and Film z!:)
stampede was my first one-piece experience and it was what got me to watch
Would love to see a review compilation like this but for the TV/OVA specials!
Really nice. I found myself surprised to agree with most of the opinions, with the sole exception of the 3D Movie. I watched it twice (like most other OP movies) and it was a refreshing, fun, and endearingly sweet experience. The Straw Hats' dynamics were a delight, like always. The action was fast-paced, exciting to watch, and gave a sense of freedom, especially with Luffy's agile swings all over the ships and above the sea, during the chase scene. I felt giddy having the camera fly alongside him.
Also, the background characters warmed my heart and made me smile, a bit teary, and their beautiful friendship - which is something I often find in One Piece's main story, as it's always full of such tender, heartfelt moments and examples of nakamaship, just as for these two.
So, I don't get the general lack of affection for this movie. I would recommend giving it a try - not with high expectations, but to simply experience something short yet fun, sweet and joyful.
I'm just gonna throw some random opinions here.
1)Rocks D. Xebec had some of the most powerful characters in his crew.. could it possibly be that the doctor of his crew was none other than Dr.vegapunk
2)could rocks be still alive and his currently at the pinnacle of world government ruling over the entire world.. and that's why the 5 elders erased everything about him.
Just a random thought đ

1) Vegapunk is not that kind of doctor.
2) You believe Rocks is Im?
@@schwarzerritter5724 we donât know what kind of doctor Vegapunk is. We know nothing about him. Itâs not unreasonable to suggest that he started out as a standard ship doctor and became something greater as his knowledge expanded

I love the fact that Oda stepped in and gave us canon One Piece movies. Iâve only seen Strong World Z Gold and Stampede cause their the only canon movies and in English but I might have to check out that movie 6.
I call them pseudo canon, they take place within the canon featuring characters and motivations from the canon, but are not actually part of the canon with the one exception being film gold as the antagonist is referenced in the anime during impel down, and even that's clearly just an effort to hype the movie up and not actually tie the events into the main canon.
Honestly I only really considered Strong World as kind-of canon since Chapter 0 is canon and provides backstory for Shiki.
I refuse to accept Douglas Bullet as canon, however, Stampede reveals some things that are canon. Episode/Chapter 0 is definitely canon but the movie itself is not canon as it doesn't fit the timeline of the main story. Z and Gold aren't canon to the One Piece story but since they are written/supervised by Oda, I guess it's "canonic filler".
Pretty sure those movies arenât canon
none of the movies are canon, only the character Shiki is canon but the events of Strong World are not. Film Gold and Stampede also can't be canon either considering that they take place in an alternate universe where all of the straw hats were together after the events of Dressrosa and Whole Cake Island respectively.
Thanks for posting this, it helped me pick the better movies to watch this sunday hehe :)

One piece stampede in my opinion was top tier of one piece movies or anime movies and the ending song GONG hit different i love it so much
Good to know, I should probably go back and watch those earlier films. (Oldest good one I watched was Baron Omatsuri). As a side note, your comments on film Gold being a great film to show non fans to see if OP might interest them makes me think a great conversation piece/video could be looking at different Arcs that could be used as good jumping on points for people. Notoriously in the west thanks to the Dub issues with the anime, many people's introduction to the series was either Skypeia or Water 7 and I've had quite a few people tell me that they lost interest because Water 7 seemed to involved and Skypeia didn't seem like a pirate-y adventure. Personally I like Reverse Mountain/Whiskey Peak and Amazon Lily as a first thought for jumping on.
The first film I've ever seen was Stampede and honestly it felt like a DBZ fight fest...I absolutely loved Strong World though, so much fun! I think this review explained both of those well so I look forward to watching your recommendations.

I would say Movie 6 is my favourite it's simply a good story even it doesn't need an outside force ripping their friendship apart or controls their action. It just takes their natural problems, and yes some kidnapping, and it seems like their crew is over. That's the problem with a crew that's built on friendship, friends often fight and argue. Clever use of the strawhats, also the Baron is such a great villain, he was destroyed and his friends are dead, now he wants to crush everyone like he was crushed.
