      How about the "Pangaea Castle" where the World Government is located. In science, "Pangea" means that the world was once a whole land. But because of the volcanic activities, it went separately. That's why if you look at the map of the world, South America and Africa and looks like they were pieces of puzzles fitted together if you get them closely (you could do the research your self)

    Hello, Japanese guy here.
    I just want to say that it's actually very easy to sneak double meaning in Japanese, much like how you demonstrated that it's very easy to come up with reasonings to make arbitrary numbers relevant. There's a form of joke called "nazokake", which has somewhat similar format to knock knock joke that goes something like this:
    person A: "We write a word A,"
    person A: "and cross/combine it with B."
    person B: "Why?"
    person A: "They're both "
    where you basically force a connection between two completely different words/concept together using only puns that applies to both; some clever people can come up with one on the spot for 2 arbitrary words. There's just so little phonetic variety in Japanese language.
    I'll say though, although majority of the word plays in this video didn't blow my mind (because they really felt forced to me from Japanese perspective), I found the last "soko" pun extremely clever/natural, and something I can see being true. I mean the exact Japanese phrasing is repeated so frequently that I can basically recite it word for word by memory.

In the anime right before they're gonna be shot down by the marines they all hear Going Merry's voice say "Look down", back then we all thought that the ship tried to save them by telling them to look down and jump onboard. But if laughtale sunk into the sea, and spongebob takes place in the sea.. then could it be possible mr krabs has the one piece? The framed dollar bill gold roger framed? And that is why he is so concerned it doesn’t get destroyed. Therefore the reason the one piece hasn’t been found yet is because the one piece is not in one piece, but is infact in spongebob.

So much so that I get skeptical about everything that came before. I'm glad you pointed out how easy it is to create some big brain theory with chapter number math as long as you have an agenda. The same goes for his chapter name analysis.

Like how the missing piece of Jaya got knocked up the Knock Up Stream makes sense but how does Enies Lobby if it is Laugh Tale make it all the way to its location away from Jaya? There's probably many ways to move an island (without spoilers in case you're not manga reader, one way is going to be introduced in Onigashima) but I agree that Enies Lobby is tricky. One thing I could think of connecting it to Roger would be Reighley's words, saying that Strawhats need to see the world and make their own decisions. So for example, would you go and destroy or attack Enies Lobby and make an enemy of the WG? Most pirates don't, but Luffy and the gang did so over a friend, not even the greatest treasure of the Grand Line. So there's some connections that could be made....
      And it's never been said outright that the waterfalls are bottomless, but the WG may think so, so there's still a chance that the treasure was under their noses all along, making Roger laugh ~ A reach, I know, but just some musings as to how Enies Lobby could work!

There could be an entrance that has to be found but maybe hd to wait or wanted to wait. What if you need sea kings. And it would be a great wtf moment of oda.
      I keep it as possible. Also that shandoras. golden bell was part of it.
      Also that it was indestructable and sunk in enies lobby.
      Maybe roger laughed because he knew everything but was too early to see the weapons and luffy eh has now connections, franky, robin, ally of shiroushi. Maybe the ancient weapons are part of all that

    • @KingMinish
      @KingMinish Před 2 lety +13

      I don't think laugh tale is at the bottom of Enies Lobby, but the ancient city might be- especially if the ancient city isn't exactly what we think it is
      We gotta keep in mind there's some prophecy thing that Roger realized he was too early for, so there's obviously some more complex mechanics here about the utility of Raftel or the One Piece.
      I think the ancient city that was in the other eyehole might actually have been Uranus, and that Uranus might be a spaceship the size of a city. It explains how the moon peoples got to earth, and if Jaya was the original location of the ancient civilization, then perhaps the reason that Uranus left the island was to flee from a world government attack.
      In which case, the big hole under Enies lobby might be less of a sinkhole, and more of some sort of crater from Uranus crashing back down into the earth. Which, by the way, if Uranus can create that much destruction being dropped from orbit, it might be pretty useful for dropping on Marie Jois down the line.
      I also think that's related to the D. thing, and also to Vegapunk's discovery of "lineage factors" aka DNA. I think Vegapunk is on Uranus studying the ancient technology, which is why he's so rapidly producing wildly advanced technology while the rest of the world is in the 1800's technologically. I think the lineage factor thing is a hint that the world government is still trying to figure out how to control/use Uranus, and that control of it might be restricted by some lineage factor DNA trait that only a few people in the world have, in combination maybe with some time element. Like some sort of ancient technology password lockout, some restriction maybe that Joyboy and the ancient people made to prevent the world government from taking control of the ancient weapon/city.
      The other key thing here is that Vegapunk isn't only studying DNA or ancient technology- he's the one that invented artificial devil fruits. Which to me is an obvious tell that the three are all related- which seems to me like a hint that the D. factor thing is too. So what do we know about the devil fruits?
      Any fruit can become a devil fruit- anywhere in the world, after a DF user dies, their ability goes back out into the aether, and into some random fruit. When it does, the fruits physical appearance, or make-up, changes depending on what DF power it's playing host to. In a way, it's a very clever method of trying to de-centralize power. It's incredibly de-stabilizing. If I'm the world government and the world is normal, I can keep track of all the world's armies and weapons factories. But if any fruit in the world, anywhere, could randomly make some normal pleb into somebody like Law or Luffy or White Beard, I'm going to have a much harder time controlling everything.
      So if there's any historical intentionality about the devil fruits, I think it's clear that whatever party was involved in that was AGAINST the world government. And so the WG is playing catch up and trying to figure out how to make their own devil fruits, and it's not working super well- but it is based somehow on a person's DNA, as evidenced by Momo having a copy of sorts of Kaido's fruit, and all the zonked out designs of the gifters that basically make them look like mutant freaks.
      (Btw, in terms of devil fruits working by altering your DNA, it makes a lot of sense that the first artificial ones would all be Zoan fruits, doesn't it? The WG might have no idea what genetic template to use for paramecia or logia abilities- but they could easily grab the genetic information of animals and try to splice it together into the DF delivery mechanism)
      So all that says to me, that somehow devil fruits are altering your DNA, or your "lineage factor" when you eat them. It also says to me that those fruits are changing into devil fruits because their DNA is being changed somehow- and if that's the case, that implies some sort of power to modify the DNA of living creatures remotely. And all of this is tied into the ancient technology of the ancient people, through Vegapunk's studies.
      So, what if the D. factor is being given out to people in the world by the same mechanism as the devil fruits? One D. dies, and someone random, somewhere else in the world, inherits that genetic factor for some reason. Maybe it's being selected on some basis, maybe something about some people makes them a more eligible candidate. It is, after all the WILL of D. Who's will is it? Joyboy's? The ancient people?

    I’d like to add another possible clue into the mix. When we learned about the Road Poneglyphs on Zoa, we learned they told us the locations of 4 places that, when connected, pointed to the location of Raftel. I like to think the symbol for the World Government looks a lot like that. 4 points connecting at one central point. This is purely speculation, but I think the Gates of Justice at Enies Lobby could be acting as a massive “X Marks the Spot” for the location of Raftel. This is just a thought I had while reading through the Reverie Arc and should be taken as such. Of course, there are three separate Gates of Justice, so it’s hardly proof. But I think this would be a cool detail if Raftel really is under Enies Lobby. Anyway, thank you for you time

    Again, I don't think the theory matches the One Piece timeline. The island of Laugh Tale is said to be located by 4 Road Poneglyphes, which were created by the Kozukis. According to this logic, Laugh Tale would never have moved (being moved to enies lobby and sinked to the bottom), because if it were moved from it's original place (Jaya, according to this theory), Roger would have never be able to find it. However, Roger did find Laugh Tale through the 4 Road Poneglyphes, and thus the island of Laugh Tale is still the last island of the grand line (located in the new world obviously), as stated by Oda himself. btw Loestar is the second to last island and the last island that can be reached with a log pose. I also think every theory about the One Piece and the D will be wrong because Oda simply did not give us enough information to work it out, I firmly believe new, mind blowing information will be presented by Oda himself regarding these topics in the next 2 years or so, and only then will we be able to reach a sounding conclusio/theory.

      I agree that the Enies Lobby part is a stretch. But it seems quite likely that the Ancient Kingdom had Island moving capabilities, possibly even several. • @FelipeFerreira-wk5nv

      But it would have been moved before the kozuki made the poneglyphes. Someone would have moved the island (maybe a dragon hum) and them the kozuki made the poneglyphes to say where they put it, since there would be no need for a map if the island had not been moved, everyone on that timeline around the lost century would know where their home place was. I don't know about it being at enies lobby, but that part makes a lot of sense for me.
      And Roger laughing could just mean that joy boy put the island in a very obvious place. Plus there are a lot of reasons for the strawhats to go back to that region of the grand line, around eneis lobby, marejois and fishman island,, the finale will probably be there, while laugth tale is on the otehr side of the world. Roger says there is one more island and he thinks is after the last island, but he says that before knowing its location
      Also in my opinion it would be very anti climatic if they found the poneglyphes and just went a little furter in the new world to find laugh tale, there is probably something more there.

    • @Holzner1991
      @Holzner1991 Před 2 lety +1

      OP was initially intended to last like 5 years so the it's not unrealistic to assume the hints and foundation laying for the "treasure" would be dropped in the early arcs i.e. near Jaya/Skypiea. Most of the current OP we know was planned after the fact. Even if Oda changed his plans , he wouldn't push such major pre planned hints way later into the story. Maybe the theory is not 100% correct about enies lobby. But there's definitely something there. We were exposed to a lot of the clues very early.

    a lot of this is convincing. but as a Japanese native speaker, I’m most turned down by these numbers to japanese translations. as a disclaimer, I haven’t watched the video from the original Japanese youtuber.
    But, 1122/05/21 = 一つにここにいる is a stretch. to break it down, 1 = hi makes sense. 2 = ni also makes sense. but 1 = to and 2 = tu/two is definitely a stretch. 5 = koko, and the last 1 = iru, these two are just bogus. while its not uncommon in japan to use numbers to represent a sound, like in phone numbers (eg. 37-0009 = minnna maaruku a phone number for a piano company), the mix of japanese and english pronunciations and the use of completely unnatural use of some numbers puts me off.
    i think some stuff is surely some foreshadowing but these number/pronunciation theories, made by a non-speaking foreigner, is to me (a japanese person) really cringey, shouldnt be taken seriously and grasping at straws kinda like the left eye coincidences that Liam pointed out.
    edit: 一つにここにいる doesnt really make sense as a sentence either. it would better translate as “as one, it is here” not “the one is here”
    edit 2: his next example with inin as a bell sound is also completely false. ive never heard someone in japanese refer to a bell sound as “inin” or “iin”
    edit 3: I wan’t to apologize by saying this theory was first presented by a Japanese person not Ohara and to call it cringey was a bit over the top. Still I find it farfetched.
    tl;dr theres so much wrong with the japanese interpretations of dates and 1121/05/21 should not be interpreted that the one piece is in jaya

    • @kawabj
      @kawabj Před 2 lety +35

      so I did watch the Japanese CZcamsr’s video. And it is true he does present the theory before Ohara and Ohara just translate it for the most part but I still stand by that its quite an unnatural interpretation of the pronunciation of numbers.
      I did misunderstand the “inin” part as Ohara was pronouncing it a bit differently. 殷々(いんいん) though uncommon, is a way to describe a large thunderous sound. My bad on that.
      Nevertheless, my point still stands that I often see foreigners interpret Japanese in mildly to completely incorrect way and that blows up into these wild theories, from such a loose Japanese interpretation. I think theres not much to come from this.
      I still think this pronunciation of numbers is very unnatural and unless there are other examples of Oda using similar unnatural pronunciation of dates/numbers, I think its just another example of bending the evidence to fit a story.
      Also I don’t mean it in a condescending way at all; I really really really do appreciate the world becoming increasingly more excited and interested in Japanese heritage and culture but it upsets me how sometimes an amateur understanding of the language/culture disseminated and is taken so seriously by those who don’t have any reference or knowledge of the language.

      Unless another popular theory is also true, which is that the OnePiece is actually all of the oceans being combined into one (piece), also known as the All Blue and the destruction of the world government/freeing of the world.
      So Laughtale might simply hold the key to achieving this, which was left there by Joyboy many many years ago and discovered by Roger, the world government/ Imu probably know this and thus decided to guard it by planting themselves right on top of it (or the other way around considering Laughtale might have been moved).
      And yeah how Roger got to Laughtale isn't clear but it's not unthinkable that there's some hidden way to get down there and at least it's more believable than it being some random island, somewhere out in the sea that for years nobody has accidentally stumbled onto (granted Wano is a thing but hey weather be scary sooo).
      Plus the pre timeskip Strawhats also literally raided Enise Lobby so it's not unthinkable that the freakig Roger pirates at their peak simply walked past/through the Navy to get down there for a quick look.
      So the theory is not that unlikely as it might seem if you assume that the OnePiece isn't just a huge pile of gold but something much bigger that the world government can't simply get rid of but only hide from the world.

    I am an American, listening to an Australian man talk about a German man explaining a Japanese man’s theory. This has become my bedtime ritual because their voices are so soothing.😂

    If you notice in one of the first pages where we first meet kid puffy, he makes that scar under his left eye to show how tough he is. I’m thinking he was trying to gouge out his eye so he could wear a badass eyepatch, but maybe just ‘taking out his left eye’ could allude to this!
