tbh it feels so weird coming back to one piece after a long time. i remember discovering the show, 5 years ago... i was bored i decided i should give it a try. probably one of the best decisions in my life. this anime taught me so much and i really wish i could discover it all over again. i'm foverer grateful i was able to watch it

18yrs ago my wife was pregnant with our first child, we started watching one piece and we got hooked up since then, now my son is 17yrs old and the 3 of us are kinda sad knowing one piece will end soon, its inevitable but i know not only kids but millennials are part of this journey. Too early to say this but i want to thank eichiro oda for this master piece!

@@bagofhotchips2585I guess one thing that contributes to this is that the story arcs can be considered as seperate stories entirely. Even though there are so many episodes, because of the existence of arcs, it's like watching seperate entire shows. It's so easy to remember the content of the episodes as long as you follow the continuity of the arcs. The alabasta arc is still fresh in my mind even though it was like 800 episodes ago lol

I started One Piece in October 2023 and I've just watched the 1000th episode. And man, did I enjoy every single second of it.
I still have about a hundred episodes left until I'm fully caught up but I already miss having loads of episodes to binge watch.
Whoever selected the scenes deserves a raise on their payment, after 17 years since I first watched One Piece this actually managed to bring a big smile to my face.

I watched the first episode of one piece 17 years ago while I was in high school. Now at 34 years old, I can say without a doubt that this show is the only thing that keeps with me no matter what. It's not just a show.

Ended up watching (and finishing) _Fairy Tail_ because I had seen a few episodes before, then afterwards was suggested by my life long friend this wonderful spectacle known as _One Piece._ By far the best decision I've made regarding entertainment in a long while.

I binged this in half a year and I'm honestly so jealous of everyone who had this alongside them for the majority of their lives. This is such a magical story and I learned a lot from it
Me too, I actually started it in March 2019. I got Covid so I was bed ridden for 2 weeks bored out of my mind so I figured, why not start One Piece? It’s something that I can binge without worrying about finishing it in 2 weeks, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

This was honesty such agreat video. I've been progressively watching this over the pass few months as I've been watching the show and i decided to watch the entire thing back after watch episode 1000. Honestly it really does put into perspective just how far you’ve come, from luffy and his little group of 5 heading to the grand line to the straw hat crew facing off against an emperor of the sea. This show's amazing and I'm so glad I never let its length deter me!

Let's give a round of a applause for those who were dedicated in creating this video and showing a second from each episode of the series, and not just a random moment of each episode, but a crucial moment that highlighted its performance. Also the fact that they put the openings seen in previous episodes. Truly, the work of dedicated fans jotting two decades of a lengthy series into a 20 minutes video.

One piece spans to about 18 days of animation, give or take. in 60 days, you spent 18 of them watching one piece.

@@zirak93-2 Yeah I agree, a lot of one piece fans don't know this but Oda, was heavily inspired by Akira Toriyama and when he finally got to his level of popularity it really goes to show you how dreams do come true.
Someone from crunchy roll of all services took a significant second from every episode and made a 17 minute video, you gotta respect that. It probably took days if not weeks to get all the right scenes and it's a really good video to help me remember the 22 year long journey.

Started watching One Piece after I finished my first anime, Death note. I only really started because my friend started to talk about Luffy from One Piece, accidentally said his name wrong, and forgave him by watching the first 50 episodes. After that, I started to binge the series because how good it is. At Marineford now, though I’m not too far, I’m just glad I got to watch One Piece at all.
I’m crying while watching this, I finally caught up with the show. when I caught up I cried like crazy. watching this brings back wonderful memories. thank you oda-sensei for bringing an amazing show.

@@anwin4505 It's really not that bad. If you truly enjoy something, it doesn't matter how many episodes there are. In fact, if you love something, usually you want more. Of all my years watching Anime since the 1990's, One Piece has become a favorite by far. I truly recommend watching it. You won't be disappointed.
@@joshberry777 I've never understood why people always use its length as an excuse its like you would rather find something short that you love and be tortured by how short it was or needing to wait months if not years for new seasons instead of a long show that depending on how much freetime you have could last anywhere from months to years of solid enjoyment before you finally need to start waiting a week for new episodes?
When the One Piece anime reaches its end, they definitely need to do this compilation again with all those newer episodes to make it complete. Many tears will be shed that day.

I remember watching this when I was a teenager. Now I'm 32. Man it's been a crazy ride. This show has been there almost every week to give me 20 minutes of freedom from the stress of real life.

I remembered my friend he was one piece fan but sadly he died few months ago he was at episode 985 and he was exited to see episode 1000. Simple things may let us remember priceless people.

Honestly I feel they is what makes this anime so special. You grow up and mature the same as the characters and it holds a special place in your heart. For me, The same thing happened with Naruto but since that ended(I don’t watch Boruto) the feeling died with it.since this anime is still going on and Luffy has more to prove, it will root deeper and deeper in our hearts

@Shadow M ok maybe I wasn’t clear I know one piece isn’t owned by Crunchyroll and they only have the rights to air the episodes but it just feels off that they can’t use only one opening it makes this tribute video feel in finished and I was wondering if it was also something with the artist that made the song. I didn’t expect you to have all the answers obviously it was just an honest question
@@SerratedSun5841 Copyright laws are weird and sometimes licensing isn’t granted overseas. CR has always had issues getting the rights to certain OPs, hence why they’re missing 8, 10, 11, 12, and 14 on their broadcast. Seems like they were able to get 8, 12, and 14 for this video though but we’re still missing 10 & 11. Both of which are done by the same band so they might still not have those.
I'm 36 years old and Watching One Piece every sunday is part of my life since I was only 15.
Watching this and recording all that seconds came together all the things that happened to me in this 21 years, I couldn't hold the tears.

I've born feb/86, so if I had 15yo when I've started watching:
1986+15 = 2001
(But i started at Janurary 2002 andI was still 15yo).
One Piece anime started airing in 1999, when my journey started there was 97 episodes already.
@@Stronghart again, math not adding up buddy, you are the one that needs to learn basic math, if you were 15 by the time OP started airing (1999) and you say that you are 36 now that would mean that you were 13 by then and not 15, that is if you are right about ur own age that is
