I have been very excited to test out this wing since I flew the 23m version at the Salton Sea. Be sure to stick around for the next episode where I am going to find out exactly how fast this Kougar 3 16m is! You should fly the itv piper if you get a chance. I have a feeling they're pretty comparable. Those risers are definitely similar to my pipers, love how simple they are. Looks like a sweet wing! Great review!
So,, would this be a ( first ) wing?
For a person with no experience?
I guess you are back in New Jersey. Good luck with the new wing.
Willy Bee no...most certainly a high intermediate to advanced. Wing loading will have a large affect on that range. With Niviuk the Link 2 and Qubik would be better options.
@@willybee3056 - As an intermediate rated wing, it might not be the best choice for most beginners. Also the 16m^2 size Tucker is flying here is a little sporty as well. Beginner wings are more forgiving if you get yourself into a bad situation - they will recover on their own with little or no input from the pilot. Intermediates will require PROPER pilot inputs to recover, while expert wings will NOT recover without proper inputs. I have no experience, but have done lots of reading over 2.5 years, so take that with a grain of salt.
Been wanting this review for a while, didn’t disappoint! Love all the wing impressions. It’s hard as a wing buyer to find solid info on many wings. And I’ve been curious about this wing since it was announced. Need to get my hands on one!
This Kougar wing will love young pilots
Thanks for the wing demo. Always nice to have options. :)
Very cool bro, you’re a very inspirational young man. You live life to the fullest that’s very cool and I really respect that. Few of our generation are able to step outside of the box, your product is very classy. Keep up the good work brother and as always be very safe.
-Justin.
I will never buy a PPG wing, but I couldn't stop watching this review! Good job.
I said that then tried the Dudek Universal 1.1 and bought one ten minutes after.
4:35 it looked like that kid walked right over your lines.
I love my Kougar 2, I cant wait to give the three a shot! Thanks for the review.
I liked the way this thing handled. I love a good dose of dramatic irony too.
The more stable the better. Seems like a good safe ride.
The intro is too funny. :D Informative first impressions, really like it. Thanks. Thumbs up
G’day Tucker! Love the videos, and I’m just wondering if you still use the chase cam, I haven’t noticed it in a while?!
Cheers.
Love these reviews - especially the thing of not flying it until you fly it. Added to the big old list of things to very strongly consider.
Looks pretty sweet! Thanks for the review.
Awesome review Tucker thoroughly enjoy it and looking forward to more reviews on the Kougar 3... maybe my next wing after my beloved Qubik !!
He found out later it was a dangerous wing in a later review on his channel
@Tucker Gott - Your home is so neat and organized - makes me feel like I need to go and clean! That's something I have never really been able to master in life, that is, clean and organized surroundings. :) Love your videos!!!!
His home is neat because he spends all his time living in a van. >.>
@@gregsteele806 LOLOL. Well, I guess that is true. I was astonished by the amount of envy that came up in me when I saw how neat everything was! LOLOL. I want to be more like @Tucker Gott! ;)
No its cus he hasnt got kids to mess it all up 😂
@@mark675 Oh yea! I have one of those little ones. lol
@@mrme123ee Lol theyre great ent they but i think we just have to accept that our house will never be straight until they move out 😂
Very interesting review. Thanks Tucker.
I have the link 2 and am a newbie, difficult to kite bit there was no wind.. yours looked like butter ..great video.
Is there another icarus race coming up that you'll be flying in?
I’d love to see another one of those. that’s where it all started for me
Speed bar! Speed tests next video! Wuhoo😀Well u know I'm excited! Lol
No o-ring line keepers on the mallions to mess with, that's kinda cool. Not used to seeing that. Wonder if there are any cons to that?
Hey Tucker, that office chair looks awesome. I need a good office chair for my back.
This is not
A commercial. Good for you mate
I also really like the color scheme of this wing!
After watching a few of your videos, I'd like to know if you've ever dealt w/ a wing collapse, during a flight? I'm an old-time hang glider and have a several thousand hours logged in those (since '77), but very little time in paragliders - maybe 2-3 hours - and no hours under power. Keep it safe.
Good looking wing that seems to work well for you.
Two of everything, he got stuff for Jaclyn too. What an og
Hi Tucker.
Just wanna start off by saying I love your videos and that there isn’t enough quality paramotor content out there.
My 18th birthday’s coming up soon and I was looking to get one of the risky biscuits T-shirts as a present, however, these are sold out. Is there any way that you could get me a restock on the medium sizes? This is my favourite design by far.
Keep up the shenanigans,
Paul Cox
NICE! How I wish I could get a paramotor. That is a nice wing!
Great review!
Great review, Spot on. 😎
I like this wing for next wing. Ty tucker
Hey dude, I'm your #1 fan here in Philippines, heheh have a safe fly always. God speed dude
Thanks -T nice review, I just happen to watch one of ur old videos on reserve packing. my question is, ur front mount use the same carabineers as ur glider? just curious if you have separate hang points for your reserve?
Love the review of the wings. Thank you. Haven’t seen much of you and Jacqueline together. Hope everything is OK.
she has her own channel and also did behind the scene van life which was way cool, only Patreon, should check it out. she is very much around.
It's only been a week since she was in a video. 😉 All is fine.
Great initial impression of the glider. Keep up the good work.
He found out later it was a dangerous wing in a later review on his channel
I like the XC aspects. Would this be a good alternative to a Spider 3?
Brilliant ... thanks!
There’s a wild Jaclyn in her natural environment in the background at the end
Good eye! 😁👍🍻
she is so good, gotta love her! she is why i’m flying not tucker, i knew he made it look to easy from way back. once she became a pilot then i knew i had to visit aviator ppg. so glad i did. great team in place and system.
@@verticallines212 - Congrats, man!
They're becoming quite a rare species. I'm sure Tucker will agree.
@@InsideOfMyOwnMind - Indeed they are! I don't have a Jaclyn, but I've got a Stacey. 😁
Maybe look into a BGD Bruce Goldsmith Design. Just throwing it out there.
Pretty sure you just helped out Niviuk with at least 20 sales by doing this first review. Cool video Tucker 👍 looks like fun
Good show. QUestions 1. how many hours can you get out of a wing before needing replacement?
2. how many hours can you get from a motor before parts need to be replaced?
thanks
About 2 hours per wing & 1 hour per motor. After that it gets dangerous.
I can give you a solid bulk discount though.
Tucker I got a used 2017 mojo 5 wing, The brake handles lines, I think are in the wrong place cause it was changed from snap on brake to magnetic brake. So once it tied on to the brake handle, how many inches of the line should be left sticking out as leftover line from the tied spot? When I kite the wing it seems there is a lot of slack in the brake line. as of now I only have an inch of line left from the tied spot. It seems to me there should be about 4 inches. I know u have a mojo could you tell me how many inches u have left hanging out from your brake handles so I can use that as a reference.
Have you ever tried ITV wings
Loved your video. Retired B747 Capt./G550 Capt. Age 63. Just decided to get something to fly around Central Florida or go out to Arizona and fly the desert..just to sightsee. Have become a minimalist so this is just the ticket. What would a guy want to start with (300lbs.) and really more into stability/cross country...any suggestions? do you have a website?
Nice review man... 👍
Was confused with all the cat treats and toys. Holly crap. Hahaha. Love it
Really! Hmm. Looking forward to more on this one
Man I want one soo bad!! There's someone that does classes in polson MT, pretty close to me!! I'm going to make it happen
What paramotor would u buy if had the chance and are new to paramotoring
Van mobile was great, but the new truck looks like a " Betty White" . Just a suggestion. Like the videos. Good job!
Is there a video link for the Kougar3 23 you flew at Salton Sea?
This wing looks very smooth and I think that’s maybe what they came after, it doesn’t turn to quick but not to slow and it looks very smooth
Sorry I like it
He found out later it was a dangerous wing in a later review on his channel
Hi Tucker! Would you recommend this wing for beginners?
Thanks for sharing the new wing. You weren’t influenced by the kitty treats were you? I know I was!
Morning coffee and a Tucker video! What a great way to start the day off right! If you ever get a chance, I would love a demo video on that Dudek Solo!
just ordered a shirt....thanks
What is your all-up hook in weight?
How would you compare the Kougar 3 to the Hadron xx?
Good stuff, I like the nitinol edge reinforcements on Niviuks. I’d like to see you try the ITV Piper..
I dont like the nitinol reinforcements, they are too thin and sharp, they cut through the leading edge in no time.
I prefer nylon ones, they are as light and a bigger diameter so they dont damage the leading edge.
Nico Nico never had that issue. NiTi has nearly zero shape memory and maintain the cell opening identical to the day I got my Niviuk.
What's the latest on the park rules... looks like u are back there... have u got an update video coming??
i hope that's an original weber there tucker ..........love the vids man
Hi, what kind of motor unit do you have? What company?
How about some GPS speed info using speed bar, trims, etc...
Coming in the next video. 😁
Omnomnom! Crispy Wing! ^^
Woody's Scout looking good on Judson👍
hey tucker
try the paramania gts 16!! i think is will blow you away!
greets
Wessel (netherlands)
Cool. It sounds like the wing has promise.
Did you do any fuel consumption comparison
What's your PTV when you flew it ?
Vc literalmente vive nas nuvens! 😱🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼👍🏼
So what do you do with your wing once you retire it because it is getting old? Keep it to practice kiting? Destroy it long before it becomes a hazard? Make a playhouse for the kids out of it? ... I'm finally considering retiring my first wing.
@Tucker Gott How light is the material compared to something like a Ozone Spyder which is crazy light vs its brother the roadster. I am curious where this wing falls since I believe a lot of guys thinking about upgrading would be coming from a spyder or roadster type wings. Thanks in advance.
23m weighs 5kg. 20m is 4.6kg
Are you back at your old favourite park are you allowed to fly there again? If so I bet your happy!😄
I would like you to try a trike ones
Uk loving this new wing :)
Nice wing. It is also on my wish list but first i need a new tandemwing, so it is going to be next year i guess. On speedbar they claim it goes 50 miles an hour. waiting for your next episode. could you take the gps with you so we can see what speed it has?
He found out later it was a dangerous wing in a later review on his channel
I like how the man and his dog disappear behind you
I'd just poop'd with excitement. The GILF 3 sounds lush :D
way to grow
Hope your new truck is working out
Did the Van tour end?
That thing is as big as a napkin
Damn Judson coming in HOT!
Have they resolved the flying controversy for the park?
I can't wait until finances are in shape so I can begin my journey in para motoring
Same. I’m working Dave Ramsey’s Seven Baby Steps. HUGE progress for me since June of last year. I listen to his podcasts everyday and find that really helpful. It’s the classic, I wish I knew about Dave Ramsey when I was young! 😜
dseften That’s awesome keep up the good work! I wanted to get into paramotors for years while I was in college, got out worked the Dave Ramsey plan to get rid of loans and then saved up for my training and gear. It’s definitely worth the grind and the wait nothing like being free both in terms of money and in the air! Props to you for doing things right
@Ty Johnson - thanks for the props! Before finding DR, I had gone out and bought a $1000 kiting wing, had a blast with it, found out about DR and sold it to begin my debt snowball. My passion for the sport hasn’t changed a bit - and I’m actually having fun with the challenge of eliminating my debt and the joy that brings with each credit card closed. You are on the right track Ty. Stick with it brother. Really thank you for the words of encouragement. See you in the air!
@@THE-APEX Awesome job to all of you working through the Dave Ramsey baby steps! That's exactly how I got my wings! Now "I'M DEBT FREE!" paid cash for my gear and training 16 years ago and paid off my house 3 years ago! I feel much lighter on my wing now! Never look back!
Try the apco F1....
I’m curious, how wide or long is a 16 meter wing in feet?
Or is it total square area.
172 square feets. I dont know if it is flat or projected area.
Can I buy it at aviator ppg?
The price of it ?
What is your average take off weight man? I just want to reference you weight to wing size..
Чувак красава!)))
when i get enough cash to actually buy stuff like this ill look into actually doing it. lol ive got a fear of heights but this seems really fun cause you are in control.
I'm scared of heights but it's different when you are flying for some reason.
Ive also got a nasty fear of heights, I got into the sport last summer. I still get a little antsy when Im flying high (which happens to be when you're safest) but I dont even think about it when Im less than 1000ft.
@@wills.5762 I'm the same way.
I have a fear of heights when I'm attached to the ground. Like looking over a balcony, or bridge, or a cliff, or up at the end of a 125ft boom of a man-lift for work. But I fly my PPG without even thinking about it. You're right that it seems to have something to do with being in control and trusting the gear that is supported by air which is EVERYWHERE. My suggestion is to go for a tandem flight with an instructor prior to purchasing any gear. If you land and can't wait to go back up, you're probably going to be just fine.
Never seen a wing buckle like that before, hmmm
So you wouldn't recommend this for a first wing?
Speed Buuuuarrrrrrrr.
wow!
I so wana do this
How CAn i win a fly traing whit You? 🙂
Would you say the Kougar 3 is a suitable beginner wing? Like, would it be cool to rock one as my first wing sort of deal? I already have one but I really like what I've seen from the Kougar 3.
It always depends on what size you take it. I dont think thats a beginner wing, with tip steering and bar.
Definitely not. I don't think it would be a suitable 2nd wing either, but probably a 3rd.
@@TuckerGott Do you think getting a larger size would make this acceptable for second wing? Niviuk has a chart that, based on weight vs. size categorizes for smooth, intermediate, and powerful. If you stayed in the "smooth" category do you think this could this be a suitable second wing?
@@escalibore6368 It's hard to say without knowing the pilot. I think a very advanced pilot with a lot of time on their beginner wing could do it safely, but in general, I would recommend it as a third wing.
Nico Nico tip steering and bar have nothing to do with class of wing.
