- Years ago, I wrote out a garden manifesto, and one of the elements of it states: don’t let your plants, boss you! Don’t let them get overgrown, buggy, thuggish, poorly defined, or dead lol. In other words, intervene, and don’t let them get the upper hand! #gardenobsessed #gardeningtools #workinginthegarden #summergardening

When getting back from a trip, I immediately jump out of the car and start watering, pruning and weeding even before going in the house and changing clothes.
I saw another CZcamsr who said she puts those little red landscape flags in all the pots she wants watered. Brilliant! I regularly go out of town and this will be so much easier for my house sitter next time.

Fellow gardeners , when it's time to enjoy the garden, it's so hard not to do garden editing. ❤❤❤ love it.
Linda, I’ve been watching your CZcams channel for years, and I seriously love every post. I am well aware that your sponsor is Southern Living plants. That being said, I’m wondering if you, Leah and Stewart could possibly do a deep dive into “on line” plant ordering? I live in a remote area of the country, Western Ky., we have big box nurseries and many, many road side flower gardens with staggering limited inventory. I find myself completely confused and anxious when purchasing on line.., is the company reliable, what is a quart size, a no. 1 a no.2? What is a 1 yr. plant vs. a 3 yr. plant.? How should a plant arrive, how does one decide to send a plant back? I do appreciate your recommendations, Southern Living plants and Color Blend are very reliable and I have ordered from them but it’s crazy out there and I have been burned on many occasions for buying plants on line without knowing what I am doing. Just a thought, there maybe many viewers in my same situation.
Great info, but you Mic was in & out. Stewart's mic was much louder. At times, his comments & constant laughing interfered with your message. Today was especially ignoring.
You're blessed to have such special people to 'babysit' your garden. It's all looking lovely. Thank you for sharing.
Love it-I take one section at a time and “deep clean” 😂 (weed, prune, dead-head, water) until it’s perfect…then move on to the next section. Love your channel - such an inspiration.
How about putting a red gate at the base of those steps on the east side since it is not used that often. I can visualize a gate there!
Linda, you need more stepping stones, as that step almost threw you. In addition, you need kneeling pads.
So glad to hear more from Stewart.
Just seeing the shape the garden is in after getting back is usually all I need to get back into it.
Always enjoy your Wednesday walkabouts! Welcome back, Linda!
I agree! Let the chips or thyme fall where they may. Another opportunity to start another lovely plant. Tomorrow I pick up a Chinese dogwood!!
Like the last subscriber... I start watering the minute my feet hit the ground!... I can wait til the next day or morning to access any damage... No one takes care of our gardens like us. We know... just like our children... whos hungry.. who needs to be fed.. who needs a drink . I am just grateful a neighbor does do her best to help when I am gone. But each vacation has a least one or two casualties. Such is the life of a summer garden.
I do a walk about as soon as i get home to pull, tuck, water etc.
It’s great to have you back. Hope you are all rested up. I had always heard not to fertilize that type of succulent. Let us know how it reacts to the Miracle Grow. Thanks. Can’t wait to hear about your trip.
My trip was and is loss of hubby has made me brain drained.😊 huggicates welcome home😊!
I love all your white blooms! 🤩 Looks fresh, clean, and cooling.
Thyme was perfect for that pot. Hopefully you will do it again someday.
