Hi priyanka. As you know brownies are very sensitive. Measurements and ingredients hv to be good. In this recipe its best to use self raising flour, otherwise if ur using all purpose flour just add a pinch of baking powder or maybe 1/8 tsp. This is fudgy brownies we dont need baking agent much or else it will be like cake. For the milk, if you like can subs with full cream milk but again its best with evaporated milk. Dutch processed cocoa powder is good.

Hi fudgy brownies are memang wet and fudgy. But should not be liquid . Still should hv been cooked. How was yours? You still see like liquid is it? Then it is not cooked properly. Using SOFT BROWN SUGAR is important. Diff brown sugar wont work. Brownies are sensitive.

What is self raising flour??can we use maida??n how much baking powder or baking soda should we add?? Please reply

    • @sivahomecook
      @sivahomecook  Před 2 lety

Self raising flour is all purpose flour where baking powder is already added to it. Maybe some amount of salt also. We buy self raising flour in supermarkets or even bakery shop. Im not sure about maida. In Malaysia we dont call maida. We use all purpose flour for cakes.

For every 1 cup(125gm) of maida, add 1.5-2 tsp of baking powder to make it a self raising flour.

Yes, left the oven door slightly open for 20 mins. I used beryl's dark compound chocolate but the coco powder I used van houten. I avoided castor sugar bcos didnt want it to be too sweet. As for the butter I used anchor.

Hi. I've tried your recipe. Get the same crinckles on top. I'm using 8' square pan so just need to make 1 and a half of the recipe.
    The measurement for 8':
    300g dark coin (beryls)
    90g butter
    30g cocoa powder
    113g self rising flour
    150ml evaporated milk
    135 brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder (this one...i add on)
I skipped the coffee part since doing it for kids. If you guys skip the coffee, please remember to cut a bit the sugar (in this case i dont...so it is quite sweet for me..owh ya...i'm using fully brown sugar since i love the chewyness.
The brownies texture is chewy and fudgy
    I bake 150°c for 30 mins.

Use good quality ingredients. Its important to use SOFT brown sugar. Dont overmix. Oven type can make a difference too. Dont use fan setting. My recipe is meant to be fudgy. So it is wet. It has to be wet. But not to the extend of sticking to your mouth like you said. 😀
