- It’s finally here! I promise next quarter (April-June) will be up before halfway through the second month lol. If this is a format you like I’ll be aiming to upload the next video at the end of March. I also am not planning on doing a video about releases that aren’t queer unless a bunch of you really want that. Let me know!

you: [ mentions a book ]
me: [ goes to my library account to request each of them ]
Vynexa I’m loving this energy!!!!
Honestly same! I've requested a good portion of them too...
Vynexa sameeeeeeee
Cece: that’s right, this is about a bisexual witch with OCD Me: hey, I too, am a bisexual witch with OCD, how bout that
Yasss me too!!
Oh god, my goodreads ‘to read’ list just grew exponentially! YES! Also when you said the words ‘queer re-telling of grease’ I think my heart skipped a beat. I am so excited for so many of these!!
I just finished it in all in one sitting.... It's so good.
pretty sure I'm screaming about at least one release for every single release day that you mentioned. what a great year
I recently found out, via my research into queer books, that Sarah Gailey is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns and can I just say. As an enby. I always SCREAM when I find more authors like me in the world. I didn't know Sarah had two books coming out this year and now I need to go preorder them both to support my fellow enby. (Also I need to go read Magic for Liars) Thank you Cece! This video is great!
Lace Pendragon yes! I love this! I feel like so many authors I talked about in this video are nonbinary and every time I found out another one my heart just increased in size. It makes me so happy to see so many queer folks thriving and making great books.
Listen to me when I tell you that I would DIE FOR SARAH GAILEY. I'm reading Upright Women Wanted with my girlfriend right now and we are OBSESSED. "Are you a coward or are you a librarian?" is straight up the best tag line ever.
I was so excited when I got the notification of this video, I always have to watch these videos twice bc the first time I watch it all and the secind time I have a paper and pen with me to write down all the books I wanna read which is usually a LOT of them. Thank you for these videos they are one of my faves of yours! And this new format is super cool too!
My amazon wish list grows tenfold every time you do one of these videos. I love it
As an asexual it literal brings me to tears to see more and more ace representation in books. I wish I had been more exposed as a teen because I felt broken all throughout high school for not wanting to sleep with my bfs/gfs. And only when I was 19/20 did I discover what asexuality even was and then had to come out again (before then I identified as bisexual).
AHHHH!!! I’m so excited, I’ve been craving a video like this from you for a while now lmao ❤️❤️
omg I love this new format!! I’ve been thinking about starting my own channel (like a distant possible project) and I decided that when (if) I’ll do it, it would be in a 3 months format. Tbh I really think it’s easier that way (at least for me)
I just added a lot more books to my to-read list. Thank you so much for sharing!
Every time you post these, I literally have my library search open in another window xD
Thank you so much for this list!❤❤
I always look forward to this video and there’s sooo many good books here!
Thank you for all the recs! I'm excited for so many of these books
love your videos and this format ❤️👍
Wow what a list. Looking forward to your thoughts on We Used to be Friends, The Belle Revolt and Only Mostly Devastated. I like the Jan - Mar format.
Wow so many books! I'm so glad we have your videos to find these. I'd only heard of like 3. Upright Women Wanted sounds awesome.
I think this format is great!! I think splitting them up into a certain set of months works well because it think it allows more books to be featured and everything.
And I just checked my 'want to read' section in goodreads and the only other one I had from Jan-March that you wasn't mentioned was: 'Music From Another World' by: Robin Talley
Are you kidding? I love these super long videos! The more queer books the better =D
I just bought The Seep because of you and I'm so excited to read it!
BLESS YOU GIRL BLESS YOU
You: I have 39 books to talk about.
My bank account: Shit.
Yeeees so many Sarah Gailey books! Theyre one of my favorite authors! Highly recommend everything theyve ever written, including a couple of short stories you can read online for free ☺️
Ooh there were some here I hadn't heard of. Time to rewatch and add stuff to my tbr.
So many good books... my YA book club is reading Dark & Deepest Red for March, looking forward to it!
I just added most of these to my Goodreads TBR shelf because I need themmm
So many of these sound so incredible!! My list of books to read just got a lot longer 😂
I love Sarah Gailey’s American Hippo novellas, I can’t wait catch up on all this new stuff they’re putting out! 😍
AWESOME LIST! I love spending money I don’t have 😂 keep up the good work !!
Wow my tbr just got a lot taller :x thanks for all of the research ! ^-^
Behind the Sun, Above the Moon
edited by Brooklyn Ray is a SFF anthology with a focus on nonbinary characters and authors! And The Sound of Stars has demi rep i believe. Both come out in Feb!
Loved this list, such good releases!
My favourite videos 😊♥️
A friend of mine is also releasing her first book in May. It’s called The Boy in the Red Dress and takes place in 1920s New Orleans. I think you’d like it!
Deathless Divide, the sequel to Dread Nation (Justina Ireland), just came out. I think it's just the two; it didn't seem that the end left it open to be a trilogy. It's a YA historical fantasy that starts with the Civil War getting sidetracked by zombies. Slavery is nominally illegal with the former slaves now being trained to fight the undead.
The story follows Jane, who has been trained as an attendant--basically a lady's maid/zombie killer. Bisexual protag, aro/ace secondary character who becomes a viewpoint in DD, onscreen f/f relationship in DD.
As always u give the best recommendations ❤💜💙💚💛😉
"A queer retelling of Grease, it's the greatest combination of words i've ever heard" - can i quote u on that? I need that book now! 0.0
I saw the book cover of The House In The Cerulean Sea so I was like, "I knew it!! There is something between those two and I can't wait!!"
Ink in the Blood was SOO good!
19 Love Songs by David Levithan came out January 7th! Love his work and most of it's underhyped.
I feel like I hit lgbtqia+ book tube gold by finding your channel!
I’ll have to pick up Homie, with any luck I’ll be going to an event where Smith is the keynote speaker at the end of the year!
Enfys Best that sounds amazing! I’ve heard from others that Danez is amazing to hear from, and their poetry is incredible when read aloud.
@@ProblemsofaBookNerd I can't wait to see them, every year the keynote speaker is excellent!
I’m so excited for we used to be friends!
the animals at lockwood manor has a f/f romance and there aren’t really labels used but i think the implication is that they’re both lesbians?
kit m ahhh! Thank you 🙏
how do i handle my tbr now?? i just added 39 books to it
I listened to the ending of Dark and Deepest Red while at the gym, and you can bet that I was crying on the treadmill lmfao. That book will go down in history as one of the gayest endings to novel that I will ever read and I loved every second of it
It's not queer but I'm really looking forward to the paperback release of The Lady From the Black Lagoon by Mallory O'Meara, which also releases on March 3rd! LOL
Mothgender because all of publishing decided March 3rd was THE DAY for every release 😂😂
Thank you for the ideas! My bookstore hosts an LGTBQ* bookclub every month, and this definitely will help with deciding the next books!
“Two minimum wage workers tasked to find the character falling through the portal” something tells me the character will have a long fun time in that new reality 😂😂👏🏼
Do you know if any of these books have aro rep? And/or do you have any recommendations that do?
Samantha Jensen It comes out in June, but The State of Us features an aro-demi character. It’s really, really good, too!
Samantha Jensen as far as I’m aware, none of them do. But there is The First 7 in March, a sequel to The Last 8 which has a bisexual aromantic main character and it is ownvoices. I would recommend Summer Bird Blue that has an aroace lead, and I’ve heard The Trouble by Daria Dafore, Immoral Code by Lillian Clark, and Summer of Salt by Katrina Leno are all great and feature aromantic main characters!
The aromantic character in Summer of Salt is actually the main character's friend, not the main character herself. She's great, though!
I'm aromantic and for aromantic main characters I enjoyed and thought were well-written (it's a mix of adult and YA stuff), there's:
-Baker Thief by Claudie Arseneault (wonderful book)
-The Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee (the second book in a series, but I don't think you really have to read the first book to understand the story, although the aromantic character is in that as well; she's just not the main character)
-Not Your Backup by C.B. Lee (also part of a series, and I think in this case you do need to read the previous books to understand what's going on. The aromantic character is in all the books, though, but she's only the main character in this one)
-Werecockroach by Poleth Blake (this is really about werecockroaches; it's a fun novella)
-We Go Forward by Alison Evans
-The Lifeline Signal by RoAnna Sylver (this is also the second book in a series, and the aro character isn't in the first book, but the story would make much more sense if you read the first book first, I think. Also, I think this series is the best thing ever.)
I feel like there should be more... I wish I could give you a longer list!
Oh, but coming out this year is Loveless by Alice Oseman, and also Common Bonds, an aromantic anthology, edited by Claudie Arseneault.
Scavenge the Stars felt like it had no significant rep at all. I didn’t even realize the mc was bi. It was super disappointing. On the plus side,
Gravity of Us was super super super cute.
so many amazing titles! my TBR will really hate me after this video... Can I recommend another one that it's coming in May also? I have finished reading the ARC for this book about 2 days ago, and I can say it's AMAZING! I am in a book hangover and just can't stop thinking about it... It's my favorite book of the year so far! I just can't explain how much it means to me! Plus, it made fall back in love with fantasy. So, we have one of the main characters who is bisexual, we have pretty dark scenes all over the book, we have an amazing magic system, we have one of the best writing styles. Have I made you interested in this book yet? I really hope so, because this book deserves so much more attention! It's called "Last Memoria" by Rachel Emma Shaw. Btw, the author is willing to offer eARC copies for who is interested!

No new adult ? Like steamy romance sooo many out there 😞
My favorite read right now is Manstress Diaries by Darrell C. Scott! It's more on the New Adult side and follows a clinically depressed therapist who falls for married man who happens to be an ex-con and an escort. The toxic relationship between the two immensely traumatized lovers, Khai and Terrence, makes it quit the page turner. But the mental health themes in not just the gay community but within the metal health field really make this an emotional MUST read. Plus, the sex is steamy, yet tasteful and there are some surprising Trans-themed moments in there as well. I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN! If you guys are looking for some newer authors to pick up I've linked it. Highly recommended! www.barnesandnoble.com/w/manstress-diaries-darrell-scott/1136420257
Dr. Henrietta Evans DNP PMHNP-BC GNP-BC unfortunately I cant find it on good reads 🤦🏻♂️
