I love how 2019 seems to be the year where rep includes less represented sexualities and genders, and also having couples beyond 2 gay white guys.
I knew I shouldn't of clicked on this video, now I'm about to spend so much more money than I originally planned for this year.
You could just go to the library instead of buying the books and save your money 👍🏻
SO MANY ASEXUAL BOOKS
Lauren A yes!! All the ace books! I didn’t even get to talk about Immoral Code!! Or The Last 8!!
The MC of hot dog girl is textbook disaster bi and it’s amazing!
Kings, Queens, and In Betweens has me so excited.i have a running list of interesting books to read and so far they’re all books you’ve talked about. I’m so pumped.
Not Your Backup will feature a character - a main character - on the aro/ace spectrum?!?! Holy - oh my God, and I thought I couldn’t love CB or her stories any more! I’m sooooo so excited!!!!
Kay B yes!!! Aro/ace Emma forever! And I believe that Abby will also be figuring out her identity within ace and aro communities as well.
Woaaw. SO MANY BOOKS THAT JUST SEEMS AMAZING!!?! 😍 I want soo many of these omg. I cant wait!! ❤
Like A Love Story sounds so good, I wasn't aware this book was coming out so thank you for bringing it into my radar! I feel like it is going to be a great book!
Yoo this is the perfect video! I have been needing this video since 2019 started and I’m so happy that I now know about all of these books!
here it is,, the only valid video of the year. heLL YEAH IM READY FOR THE QUEERNESS
Literally cannot wait for all of the reviews of these!!!
I’m lucky my mom works at a library!I got to read Bloom from there actually. If they don’t have it there then she can ask a near library to mail it to her library too!💕
so many of these books sound amazing we really have been blessed. also when you were talking about queer witches like SAME it's my literal favourite thing and 2019 is DELIVERING 😭 🌈
thank you for providing all these ressources
Been getting more into YA recently from mostly reading adult lit, and I'm excited about The Devouring Gray and The Grief Keeper!
You asked for perfect seems so refreshing will definitely be looking out for it!
thank you so much!! this is really helpful for me to discover books that are inspiring to me and that can help me come to terms with the fact that I'm bisexual. Thanks truly and your passion in reading is soo inspiring
I had to stop the video halfway through and go request some ARCs that's how excited I am for these books
THank GOD! More diverse Raven cycle, especially with BISEXUALITY, is just what I wanted.
"I'm just excited! I'm excited about all the books!" Same!! I've been looking forward to this video!
I sat down about a month ago to try to make my own video about my most anticipated 2019 releases and I was so overwhelmed by the sheer number of books that I ended up scrapping it lol. Maybe I'll try to scale my list down to like a top ten or something but I'm sure that would still take forever 😂 That being said, it's an excellent problem to have!
Randomandlovely right?? My initial list for this video was like 45 books long.... and I have in the past usually only talked about 18 per video but it became very apparent very quickly that that was NOT going to happen. I can’t handle all the books. I cannot.
i actually just checked out bloom at my local library and i absolutely loved it
Ooo, I love this list, thank you!! Also it’s incredible how many LGBT+ books are coming out as time goes on. (Also I love your hair!)
I see my TBR Takedown challenge for 2019 has just got even harder :D
If you like the show 'Pushing Daisies' you'll love Hannibal. It was written by the same guy, Bryan Fuller! (and it has gay representation! )
In loveeeee with your shirt😍😍😍
I love witches so much, combining that with queer, just makes it even amazing! I’ve loved all of the queer ya books I’ve read, so this year has me quite excited! 🤩😁
Also Cece your hair is lovely and it reminds me of S3 Sabine Wren!
I'm definitely going to make a goal to read about more diverse sexualities this year! I grew up in the bible belt and I can tell you their were so many people who could have used some lgbtqia+ "Judy blume" novels. ❤
OMG I LOVE PUSHING DAISIES I seriously never talk to anyone who has seen it. One of the most aesthetic and clever things I've seen on TV.
I’m SO EXCITED for most of these releases! Especially the non-binary one because there is a lack of representation covering that topic.
added sm to my wishlist
thank you so much for the book recommendations!! :) i love reading queer YA & will probably do some vlogs or dedicated reviews for pride month. also, i love your shirt so much!!! it's super cool! new subscriber here :)
AAAAAA thanks for mentioning a book with drags! I was thinking about asking you if you knew any books with it
Gabriel Navarro yes!!! There’s also a couple more I think?? Caleb Roerhig’s upcoming book Death Prefers Blondes is about a girl and four kickboxing drag queens pulling a heist which sounds WILD. I know there’s at least one more but it’s not coming to me right now so let me go stare at the wall and think for a couple of hours 😂
Omg March 5th is my birthday! Can’t waaaiiiittt!!!
U should read spells on wheels which is a graphic novel with three witches with different powers trying to find there lost items that were stolen and sold on a magical website. It is diverse as it has a black character and a Asian character who is also a lesbian.I loved this graphic novel and highly recommend it.
Kalyani Talvelkar I’ve read Spell on Wheels! It’s absolutely fabulous 💖
I have read a few things from Danika Stone. One of her first novels (All the Feels) featured a bi character though he was in opposite sex relationships.
I have already Pre-ordered SwitchBack
Was so excited for the music of what happens but highly disappointed. Would love to hear/see a review of your thoughts on it
I love your shirt. SOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!!!!!
i loved this video, thank you for making my to-read list on goodreads grow! is there a July-December video coming??
Yes! There is, I'm just super behind on filming ahhhh. Don't worry, I have the whole thing written and planned I just need to film and edit!
Just started reading again since high school and this is helpful I need books to read they all sound interesting as fuck
My birthday is March 5th and I noticed that at least 12 different books I'm interested in are being released and I'm going crazy cause IDK which to buy
i need all the books for pride month thank you
I just audibly gasped at the cover for The Lost Coast
Et tu, Brody? It’s SOOOOO beautiful
lol it's always the name "ari"
not mentioned in the video but “red white & royal blue” is also another lgbt book that recently came out, and i’ve only heard good things about it 🥰
I'm so glad there are so many characters who show diversity with differences romantic and sexual attraction, that's pretty uncommon
ALL HAIL MARCH 5, HOLIEST OF DAYS
Anna Babbling Book HONESTLY ALLLLL THE BOOKS
I'm a little late here, but The Music Of What Happens is not set in the 1980's but it's set in present day and for the most part revolves around a 1980's era food truck.
Her royal highness by Rachel Hawkins
You have no idea how happy you make my days with these LGBTQIA+ books
gata branca yes!!! Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust, Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst, Jane Unlimited by Kristin Cashore (a variety of genres but one of them is fantastical), Spellbook of the almost and Found by Moira Fowley-Doyle, Rhe Seafarer’s Kiss by Julia Ember, and I have books like Reign of the Fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh, Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan, and Moonstruck by Grace Ellis on my TBR 😊
Thanks a lot for that video! ❤ my tbr just got so much bigger, your choices are great!
I just need help with a discription. When you explain the synopsis of switch back, you mention "an ROAs - Protagonist" ... what is that? Did I comprehend it correctly? I believe it is an abbreviation but i couldn't find what ROA stands for. Could you please explain? Thank you! ^oo^
kira murasaki hey there! I said an aro/ace protagonist. It means that the main character is both aromantic and asexual 💖
Nice
Sorry I’m ready Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe rn and the amount of characters with the “Ari” sounding name is crazy.
AAAAAHHHHH WITCHES YESSSS
Hi. I'm trying to find 'A place for wolves' but it's not available anywhere? Advice?
tosheatower that publication was cancelled. The book was pulled by the author and the publisher so it isn’t available anywhere. Sorry about that!
@@ProblemsofaBookNerd oh 😭 did you read your copy? Was it any good?
im listening to the Once and Future King on audible now and it's really becoming a chore
does Once and Future deal with the imperialist proaganda side of the old one at all? i need a palate cleanser Dx lol
Has anyone read Heartstopper by Alice Oseman? It’s a graphic novel and so far two volumes have been published and they are amazing!
Omg I read it on tapas.io and it’s AMASSING
Why is Ari such a gay name? 😂
This was literally my first thought when I found out about new gay books this year with a main character named Ari 😂
Is the past and other things that should be buried come out on February 12th or the 19th?
Sorry about that confusion. The dates listed under the books are always the correct dates, so TPAOTTSTB will be released on February 19th.
i know this was published a while ago and im not sure if things have changed at all considering, but its so frustrating to me because whenever i hear "oh this book has lgbt characters" i always get my hope up and then it turns out its just 2 gay guys, like why are there so few books with lesbians/bi/pan girls >:((((( but anyways uhhhhh read of fire and stars tehe
@@ProblemsofaBookNerd oh my godd no thats not what i meant lol but looking back on it i can see why you thought i meant YOUr book list, what i meant was just most popular lgbt books in general, i think your list is really nice and diverse i meant no hate towards you
Who is here after reading. In The Closet: A Gay Romance by Ecops Dee on Amazon Kindle.
✋✋✋✋
But what about Rainbow Rowell’s sequel to “Carry On”????😩👌
Ghazal Moenie as much as I know a lot of people love Carry On, I have never read it! Also, for my anticipated releases videos (and for my channel in general) I prefer to use my time recommending and hyping ownvoices queer books, and books featuring people of color. I’m very glad that fabulous queer wizards and vampires are getting hyped elsewhere, but my channel is and always will be about highlighting marginalized voices and ownvoices narratives 😊❤️
Hmmm Laura dean sounds familiar. Oh wait it’s one letter away from Laura jean lol
Asdfghjkl I wish you all the best!!!!!
My pansexual ass is HYPE for Once & Future
stacisbookishprobs I’ve never been more ready to stan. Ari is already my disaster fave.
She cute
Going off script by Jen Wilde
Jorgjina Divjaka yes! Definitely excited about this one too!
