You're right, a Memory called empire has girls kissing, but the romance is not the main focus at all. I still enjoyed it because of the language aspect and I liked the mystery :)
I got these violent delights plus the sequel for Christmas and can't wait to read it, I hope we'll both enjoy it ✨

I grew up in the town where Book of the Month Club was based. Even though the mailing address was Camp Hill, Pennsylvania it was the larger nearby town and for some reason they could handle the plethora of mail better for some unknown reason and they used that zip code instead. My mother worked there in the 1970s opening thousands of envelopes every night with the yeses and nos. There was a company store for employees where all the returned books were sold, usually for at most $5 for beautiful art books, but usually $2 or $3 for hardbacks. For those few years our house was flooded with hundreds and hundreds of books.

Lesbian, bi sexual, and male to female Trans love stories. Basically f/f love stories.

“Sapphic” refers to attraction between women and those who feel connected to the label. So it includes those who might ID as a lesbian, bi, pan, queer, etc. Basically I use it when I know a character is a girl who likes girls but I don’t know what the character’s specific sexuality is!
