  • @tobaepebinuade5830

After this Everton loss, I really don’t see how Liverpool can win the Premier League title right now. Even if they have to rely on other results, that alone especially with how poorly they’re playing, they just can’t win the title at the moment. The race for the Premier League is between Manchester City and Arsenal.
They have really bottled it at the worst possible time of the season. We shouldn’t forget that Liverpool have spent chunks of the season top of the Premier League and many of us were even backing them to win the title and without being at their brilliant best, they were always getting the job done. A time where you shouldn’t be dropping points is when the title is on the line and unfortunately for Liverpool, they’re struggling so badly and even the players know that it’s over for them. Last week Chelsea beat Everton 6-0 only for them to lose 5-0 to Arsenal yesterday and now Liverpool couldn’t even beat their noisy neighbors. To be honest a brick wall can do much better than the Liverpool attack because they can’t buy a goal and of late expect for the Fulham game, some of their goals have come from set pieces and penalties. They’ve only scored 2 goals from open play in the past couple of weeks and creating chances shouldn’t be an issue for them, their finishing is absolutely atrocious and you cannot misfire in a title race and they did that and it’s costed them important points. Everyone is talking about Liverpool’s struggles offensively, but what about their defense. In their last 12 games in all competitions, Liverpool have kept only 1 clean sheet and this is down to the starting games too slowly, always relying on playing catch up and are conceding a lot of chances and goals as a whole. This is not the farewell that Jurgen Klopp was hoping for and you can see why he said that he’s running out of energy and for his legacy since they’ll most likely not win the title this season, history goes again Klopp since on paper especially for an elite manager, 1 league title in 9 years isn’t enough and instead of appreciating his accolades, I think people will focus purely on his lack of league titles and this is out of his and Liverpool’s control.

His opinion was always that they just ran out of steam due to injuries like Saliba for example. Second, I'm not sure why you think being out of form is better than bottling it. The result is the same. It's just a different explanation.

This guy is so useless when it comes to taking chances, he wouldn’t even stay in a relegation team. They create so many chances, if they had a worthy striker in the team, they’d probably be 10 points clear. And not only is he completely useless in front of goal, his profligacy has spread throughout the team to other players. Nunez has scored 6 out of 31 big chances, the worst rate of any striker in Europe’s top leagues. And Liverpool fans chant his name like he’s a cult hero? Shocking.

Personal theory, that having all the injuries and having to put in the younger youth players, actually gave Liverpool the energy and unpredictability (and sometimes chaos) that the opponents could not cope with. Once the more "established" players came back, while they were technically more superior, actually sucked out the energy and unpredictability from the team, and suddenly they are back to being the Liverpool that the opponents were familiar with since they have basically played with the same style for years now. Also feels like the older players have burnt out from all the years of chasing. The effectiveness of Robertson and Trent has disappeared and they have not been great in defense, Salah has lost some pace albeit still good, but he is no longer great, Diaz continues to be a bull runner that seems lost at times with the ball. I'd actually look to replace the 4 players there, even if its controversial.

Will still be the only other team to win something this season apart from city! City win prem and fa cup and Liverpool win league cup. United, Chelsea, Arsenal, spurs all nothing! So keep obsessing about us 😉

What Nicol said was funny. Liverpool won the league cup, with youth players and were top of the league in March. The rest of the fixtures look so dobale esp when senior players are coming back from injury. I think he under-estimated how much other teams want to win the FA Cup, Europa league and to survive in the EPL like Everton and Palace.

  • @franciscoalvarado4320

Klopp and Xavi announcing they were leaving midway through the season had the same effect. Both teams got a bit better, good run of form, then out of no where certain players went out of form and got knocked out of all comps. Liverpool still has a tiny chance but same outcome.

At this point, ESPNFC panel is a jinx panel whatever they say but happens quite opposite.
For past weeks, they were saying Liverpool had easy games and favorite to win PL and then 🙃.
And same way they said PSG/Dortmund & Madrid & Bayern have no chance this time but again 🙃
Watch out for Euro24 if they say France,Germany & England or Spain and then definitely Portugal winning it. 😂😂😂😂
Argentina already shaking and Brasil is celebrating 😭😭😭

I think this team stop giving their all for klopp since that man united 2 all draw.. The way he went off on his players when man united scored the second goal done it for me.. his assistance was trying to tell him to calm down.. they have never recovered since.. just my opinion..
