      Stop with this rubbish about we won the league . We won the league looking like Mourinho. Parking a bus and winning dozens of games 1-0 . It was horrible and embarrassing. This season is the same thing . We won against psg with PSG dominating us . Not controlling the game , not imposing our style on the teams, nothing. How have we become so mediocre ? We used to be a team proud about how beautiful our team played , it bring joy to us . But these joke fans has now resort to boasting all over that we won looking horrible . I hope you ready for the same football another season .then you all will blame VAR , referee, fifa , Tebas and everything else

The league and super-cup wins constantly given as his benchmark is deceptive as it takes Real Madrid going off the rails for Barca to succeed... RM were leading by 10 points before the WC and they spectacularly collapsed after the world cup for approx 2 months and Barca didn't (credit there). That 2 month period was enough to steal 2 titles. Madrid were more focused this time around and brought back the pre-world cup gap between the 2 teams. • @tobaepebinuade5830
    @tobaepebinuade5830 Před 9 dny +59

    I don’t think people see how well Xavi has done at Barcelona despite the circumstances he’s dealt with. He made some mistakes and at times got his team selection and subs wrong, for someone who’s a young manager, he’s done what he’s had to do. In the most difficult period in their history where financially they had a lot of limitations, he steadied the ship for them in the short term and delivered Barcelona their first league title in over 4 years last season and while it wasn’t pretty and they didn’t play vintage attacking football, what mattered is that they won games despite not being at their best. He also managed to give the youth a chance and that bodes well for them in the future if you don’t burn them out before they enter their prime. This season, they’ve had their struggles about to go trophy less have had injuries and disappointing defeats, overall he’s not been as bad as you think he’s been. Here’s the problem though, being the Barcelona manager is so difficult and people expect a lot from you. People value winning trophies and you play the game to win, the reality is that at Barcelona, you’re expected to win the “Barca way” because winning alone isn’t enough. There were too many games this season where no matter how many games they won, they weren’t convincing and people criticized Xavi for their lack of attractive and attacking football and it makes sense because people are used to seeing Barcelona win games like this. He’s not perfect nobody is, but he’s the right manager for this team in the long term and hopefully they can get back to being an elite club again and that is going to take a lot of time for that to happen.

The issue is most of the performances seems to have been us playing with our eyes shut. The performances against Almeria, against Barbastros against Villareal twice, against Antwerp, against porto. I'm glad that you also mentioned the goal difference. 33 is quite low for the standards of this club and the quality of this barca side. The issue is we conceed a little too many and we score a little too less. The results this season does not really matter but rather performances and up until March or there about, performances both in attack and defence was atrocious.

In the last game against PSG, he made a lot of mistakes... His reaction to pressure revealed his personality. Xavi is the coach who has seen the most red cards this season, and these small mistakes could destroy Barcelona once again. He recognizes that...We hope he does his best next season. the only thing you have done is quote stats. For example neymar scored 77 goals for brazil hence he is better the Ronaldo. I think you are the one with 0 ball knowledge. Also if you want stats Lewandowski is still under performing his xg and i dont even think it is close. He has missed easy chances on multiple occasions even today in about the 20th minute. He is slow lethargic and simply poor. And then you are gonna say oh he has about 24 g/a in all comps. You know how much goals he should have when analysed with barca's creativity this season and his xg. Maybe he should have 16 goals in probably just la liga yet he has 13. And you may say it is not that bad but it really is considering others are overperforming their xg not only in top clubs but also at clubs like aston villa and Chelsea just to name a few. Lewandowski has been bad as it relates to positions he takes up in attack like games against villareal and athletic club just to name a few. Because he chooses consistently to sit so deep in attack he causes us to play sideways and backways passes. Because of Lewandowski their is no option to put a cross in the box thus normally stiffling our chances to play good attacking football.
      By the way you watch football via stats i watch football via the pitch. And the only reason Lewandowski he scored 50 goals in almost two years does no make it a crazy feat. For example haaland scored 50 goals for city in just a singles season. Harry Kane has scored 32 for Bayern, Ronaldo scored 50 in a little over a year for Al Nassr. So I dont get the point about scoring 50 goals for barcelona when others have done better and he is normally just scoring against Victoria Plzen and Alaves.

    • @insideinside9450
      @insideinside9450 Před 9 dny +3

      On the topic of Xavi why did he give Lewandowski 90 MINUTES TODAY? Why why why the heavens? What has Lewandowski done since the start of the season; heck what has he done since last January 2023? I'll tell you what he has done miss easy chances, play poor passes, sat deep in attacking plays and have one good game versus atletico madrid. If I were the Barca manager I am starting Roque and heck and if i do start him and bring in Iniago, but incase Araujo did not get the red card I would've subbed him off at half time. There are two people who i need not be here next season and that is Lewandowski and Xavi. Even Romeu has got a better stock than Lewandowski.
      Another take on Xavi. You are 4-2 up on aggregate, why dont you pack the box and play 79 minutes of defensive football. Why attack and leave spaces for the 3 PSG pace merchants? Why? That is a tactical blunder from Xavi. Does not require much think just common sense would have told anybody that. Shut that box tight.
