That is definitely true about the left. Their being offended for someone usually results in destroying the lives of those they are offended for. In this case though, do we really know if Native American communities are offended? Maybe they are. If they are, I think it is their decision to stop the use. I personally have no idea what the actual stance is on the issue by Native Americans. Could go either way, they could see it with pride, or they could see it as mocking them and the past. Does anyone know if the various native american nations have a structure where they get together, meeting of the community leaders etc? If they did, it would be nice to see if they would come to a consensus on the issue.
They get woke, I get rope.
I like how things only offend people they shouldn’t offend, people just get offended for others that don’t care or could give less of a shit about it

Btw, I'm Egyptian and I would TOTALLY wear a New York Jews T-shirt/Jersey!! I know that doesn't sound right (being an Egyptian and all), but my parents came from Egypt because they were persecuted for being Christians in a Muslim country. Plus my dad was drafted/forced to fight in the six day-war of 1967 and he was rescued by the Israeli Army (they knew he was a Coptic Christian because of the crucifix tattoo that he had, plus he never shot anyone during the war). He respected the Jews his entire life and firmly believed (until the day he died) that they have the best military in the world.
New York Seraphim sounds more appropriate
The Cleveland “Legal Guardians” or the Cleveland “Guardians at Litem.” 😆
The Guardians. Protectors of whiny liberals’ feelings.
Stopped watching sports years ago thankfully and will never go back
I'm with you
Quit watching sports 13 plus years ago good for you
#YearsAgo
What exactly is Cleveland the guardian of? Crime? Cleveland is the Detroit of Ohio, a true shithole
I'll fall asleep to the NBA whenever my family watches it. I'd rather be playing than watching.
Totally believable, a group so easily offended is the guardian and protector.
Ikr, why does not a single person in a position of power have the balls to tell SJWs to go shove it? if i was in charge of a sports team or a big corporation or movie studio, i literally wouldn't even acknowledge these peoples complaints even exist and id sleep like a baby

As a part-Indian Clevelander I feel stabbed in the back. I have been proud to be a lifelong Indians fan since childhood not just because I live here, but because I have a inherent tie to that name. That has always been important to me. The franchise is no longer proud of the thing that made me a proud fan. This is no longer a relationship I desire to foster so I'm closing this chapter and moving on. My actual birth city seems appropriate, so San Diego can help me write the next one.
Bro the way he says cleveland spiders😂😂😂😭😭🤣🤣🤣
I haven't watched a professional sports ball game in over two years and I'm never going back.
Larry Elder for California Governor! Spread the word everywhere, especially cali residents!
Word up. Elder for Prez.
Check out Jeff Hewitt as well!
I sure could use a bumper sticker or something
Larry Elder for governor then president.
P.s. I am a white man(i said this b4 the left says it,and im into recovery, and deeply inspired by Larry Elder and Thomas Sowell, since changing my ways)
GOD bless Ben,Larry and Thomas.
@@Tomnest one very basic point is that California has very high taxes and little to show for it. The taxes go up but the quality of life goes down. I'm my opinion Larry sees problems that can be fixed with relative ease and he is the leader that would care enough to do so.
Native Indians didn’t care. The sponsers pissed themselves because they were scared to be cancelled so they threatened to leave them they changed their name
Lmao the "NEW YORK JEWS!" I love it lol
“The New York Jews beat the New Orleans Saints sounds great”
Until the Saints beat the Jews and get accused of anti Semitism 😂
Exactlyyyy
How is that even remotely similar? Is it offensive to Jews to be called Jews?
Finally some INTELLIGENT humor!
Thanks for that
@@wonderboy75 Exactly! Which is why, in this segment, Ben Shapiro is acting like a complete twit
Ha!.. that's funny man😂
The Cleveland No Balls seems to be fitting.
Yep...Cleveland definitely "struck out" with their new name👍
The Cleveland Douche-bags would be another good option.
Or "The Cleveland Eunuchs"
Cleveland Jelly-Spines would be more accurate.
I won't EVER watch or listen to a "guardians" game. I'm not a Cleveland fan, just a baseball fan and a respectful American.
I bet the "Braves" will never change their name though!!!
No probably not. They wouldn't know it is a native name. Kind of the same with thing with an sks. If a lib looks at it, they would think it is a hunting rifle. Yet they would have no idea that it was made for war.
You need to make a "New York Jew's" shirt that looks like a Mets team shirt for your merch store... 😂😁👍
Why would they call themselves the Jew's? The existing teams aren't the Yankee's or the Met's.
New York Jets is just a simple photoshop copyright infringement away.
I would buy two!
@Chris Topher I too am a fan of alliteration.
NYC is known as JYC…and the NYT is the JYT, so I think it would be funny. Jews have a good sense of humor about things
as a Cleveland man, I can tell you that most fans are not too happy about the name change. I work at a sub shop and all I saw today was Indians t-shirts and hats
Fans can best express their unhappiness by not going to their games, watching their games or buying their merch. I feel your pain.
The Cleveland Steamer would have been a better choice.
Hell ya boi
Thanks! I really needed a good laugh. BTW- Why can’t I find out about this stuff a day or two early so I can buy up my merchandise before it gets ridiculously expensive; certain Dr. Seuss books, sports gear…….
Going back to "Cleveland Spiders" would have been a better name change than "Cleveland Guardians."
That would be an awesome name!
Ikr, the jersey and hat designs could be pretty sick
It’s just that Cleveland doesn’t want to remember when the Spiders lost 120+ games.
Unfortunately, all the good colors for spiders are prohibited.
@@richardkammerer2814 Made me ☺️. 😊. 😏. 😆😆😆😆
Jim Thorpe was one of the greatest athletes of all time. He was an indian.
Nope hes not indian anymore hes a white guy now
He's the greatest all around athelte of the 20th century
And we are proud that he's a white guy now
Also don’t forget about Jim Thome too, dude hit rockets to the moon
I didn't realize you did a video on my favorite team lol hell yea 🤣
Where can i buy 'Indians' gear. I want the logo with the Indian on the jersey and hat NOW!!
I was hoping they'd pick Cleveland Baseball Team.
😂
Yeah better than this generic uninspiring "Guardians" name.
I'M OUTRAGED THEY DIDN'T
Me too. The logo should change to a puckered sphincter.
Or the Cleveland Bowel Movements
As someone from Cleveland and a Indians fan this just breaks my heart.
Same - I just can’t get over this like part of my youth died today. If they wanted to rename the team the first thing they could have done was give us a World Series victory first - this is a slap in the face for the last 73 years of support like it was all just a cosmic joke. Now we will all never have seen an Indians World Series victory.
My god, you’re crybabies. You can still cheer for your team. Your youth didn’t die, and you haven’t been slapped in the face; even metaphorically. All the actual problems in the world, and you’re acting like a team changing their name is some great tragedy. Get a grip!
@@lim4275 it's not just the name change. It's sad this stupid game everyone is playing. Nobody is offended but they change the name to show how virtuous they they are. They're going to continue like ben said until the teams are just animal names and then you'll see people trying to explain how offensive the turtles name is. People are upset that this is where we've got as a society.
@LIM 42, to baseball fans, this is pretty disappointing. Everyone likes it the way it is-and if you’re an Indians fan and has a teams name changed that was special to you you do feel like it’s a slap in the face.
@@cabbey09
I understand that. I’m not stupid.
But the truth is that teams have also changed their names in the past due to political or societal pressures.
Just as an example, Middle Tennessee State University used Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest as their mascot. They removed his name in 1963 due to political pressure.
Stanford University changed its team name from Indians to Cardinal (the color, not the bird) in 1972. They made the change because of pressure from Native American students and neighboring tribes protested that the name was an insult to their culture and heritage.
The Golden State Warriors (previously the Philadelphia Warriors) changed their mascot from a caricature of a Native American to a headdress logo from 1962-1969. In 1969, they dropped the Native American theme entirely due to political pressure. It’s been a drawing of the Golden Gate Bridge since 1969.
Dickinson State University in North Dakota changed its team name from Savages (with corresponding Native American logo) to Blue Hawks in 1972.
Dartmouth College changed its team name from Indians to Big Green in 1974.
In 1994, St John’s University changed their name from Redmen to Red Storm, and ditched a Native American team logo.
Miami of Ohio changed from Redskins to RedHawks in 1997.
Tampa Bay Devil Rays dropped the “Devil” from their name in 2006, because local Christian groups felt that the team needed an “exorcism” from the word “Devil”, in order to change the luck of the losing franchise.
There are many more examples too, going back as far as the 1950’s and 1960’s. The truth is, societies and the world evolve over time. It’s a natural progression.
On the Metra train ride back from Comiskey Park (Guaranteed Rate Field) last night (7/31/21), some White Sox fans were chanting, "Guaaaardiannnns, come out to plaaayeyaaa!" Interesting...
Now, Cleveland needs to get David Patrick Kelly to do the promo!!!!
Oh boy, there gonna fill the stadium now. Ive been waiting for this so I can feel good about driving the 1541 miles one way for a game.
