I did read the error was actually just discovered when the crew was announcing the landing.
After the landing the pilot asked all passengers to raise their hands if they wanted to fly to Germany xD Not joking.
The person filming on the cruise ship wasn't only a steady hand, but they also recorded horizontally. My hero.

Well, getting accidentally circumcised sure sucks...but imagine being that guy, that got anesthetized to have his right leg amputated, only to wake up to find that they cut off his left leg, because they hung up the x-ray mirrored. AND then having to go through the same procedure again, this time to get the correct leg amputated.

Actually, the necessary space suit size might actually surprise you. Do some more research on the case:
"While still back on Earth, McClain had trained in both the large and medium sized suits. Originally, NASA was planning on having McClain wear the larger sized suit while Koch would wear the medium rig. However, during McClain’s recent spacewalk it became clear that the medium sized suit fit her body better in space, which left NASA in a bit of a pickle.
NASA has two of each size of space suit on the ISS, but only one of them is fully outfitted and ready to use at any given time. The other suits, which are considered backups, can’t be pulled out and used immediately, and they must be prepped for use in space.
NASA’s Brandi Dean explains it like this:
We do our best to anticipate the spacesuit sizes that each astronaut will need, based on the spacesuit size they wore in training on the ground, and in some cases (including Anne McClain’s) astronauts train in multiple sizes. However, individuals’ sizing needs may change when they are on orbit, in response to the changes living in microgravity can bring about in a body. In addition, no one training environment can fully simulate performing a spacewalk in microgravity, and an individual may find that their sizing preferences change in space.
Training in various space suits on Earth can’t adequately predict what suit will fit you better in space, and in this case the time crunch between the two spacewalks has forced NASA to replace McClain with Hague. It’s obviously a bummer for McClain, but nobody wants to be floating around in space in a suit that doesn’t fit."
Yes, you definitely want a good fit. Working in space is arduous, fatigue is your enemy.

you know you are a king of accents when you are a black dude from Africa and you can make a segment funny that is about how the Scottish accent is close to the german language. I mean it was pretty spot on.

His dad is Swiss German, he also does good German accent.
What makes him more brilliant is that he grew up among black people in South Africa and not the west.
OK, so South Africa was kind of this whitened Africa, and all, but my point is, that although he grew up there, and now he lives in the United States, he still manages to compare the German language to one of the native accents in Great Britain. That just shows a lot of knowledge and a lot of talent (because he makes a point and makes it funny at the same time). He also does the best Trump impression, which must be furiating to Trump. Too many people don't understand that EVA (spacewalking) spacesuits are NOT the same as the flight suits that astronauts launch in. Every astronaut gets a flight suit. But not every astronaut who goes to the ISS is trained to do spacewalks, so there are fewer available EVA suit components than there are astronauts aboard.
And the fact that McClain and Koch's astronaut class was 50% female has little bearing on the gender composition of their mission. Russia, Europe, and Japan all have a poor record at selecting female candidates to be astronauts.
In fact, out of 59 ISS expeditions, only THREE of them have had crews that were 33% female. INCLUDING this current one. The other two were in 2010 and 2014-2015. More than HALF of ISS expedition crews have been 0% female. So the available EVA suit components are skewed toward typical male astronaut body proportions, not female ones.
And as others have pointed out, astronauts grow in micro-g and experience fluid shift toward their upper body. That can't be conpletely taken into account when fitting an astronaut for their suit and training them on the ground.
I'm disappointed that history for women in STEM wasn't made as expected today, too. But to call it a ridiculous fuckup is completely incorrect. There just weren't enough suit components available that could safely accommodate both McClain and Koch. So Nick Hague took McClain's place, and McClain will take his place in a spacewalk next month.
However, this happens to be the first time in history that two different women have performed spacewalks in the same week. And, having worked for NASA as an engineer supporting human spaceflight, I'm very disappointed in the media for not digging and reporting on THAT milestone being achieved.

The sizing issue had to do with the fact that the astronaut has grown 2 inches since being in space. Those suits are meticulously measured. They could have set up another suit but it would take 12 hours to properly check every last detail in the suit. 12 hours doesn't seem like much but those astronaut's schedules are done in 5 minute increments. NASA wasn't going to rush the suit reset and risk the life of the astronaut for good PR. There will be an all woman space walk eventually. It's inevitable according to NASA.
