@Tara well, the accents originates from people who grew up speaking Te Reo Māori and then learnt English. And now most Māori people have that accent, if only slightly. In my experience some bullies use that accent to sound cool, but it's not their real accent, and doesn't stop it from being the Māori accent.

I don't get why people are so Ignorant about Africa but always trying to analyze Africa.
There is hardly any African country where things are done the same all through the Nation. African Countries are always made up of multiple ethnic groups and tribes, with different culture, different dressing, different foods different accent.
In Nigeria for examble, A Yoruba man's accent is totally different from an Igbo man or an Hausa man. SO THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 'NIGERIAN ACCENT'. So it is in almost every African Country. A man's accent depends greatly on what tribe he comes from and not the entire Country.

Here in Germany one only needs to drive for thirty minutes before you get into a village where they speak so differently one does not understand them. In France the have the region Bretagne where their language isn't even considered real french and that goes for many more countries but many always assume only outside of Europe and North America you can find culture and diverse people and that is just as ignorant as the other way around.

In this case a travel website just made a poll (online polls are not seen as a reliable form of survey due to their bias susceptibility) just to generate funny news, so they get more attention.

I'm fine with it. I don't feel like going up and touching random people anyway. I would just like the added feeling of safety for potential "victims" and am eager to see if people are still going to find a way to be creeped out by just compliments or looks. Because if nobody is even touching each-other, it has to make it harder to believe that tangible harassment is taking place.
It has to make it a *lot* harder to falsely pin a harassment charge on someone if you've never touched that person or come into their personal space. And again, no loss on my end. Shaking hands isn't important, it just makes you have to wash them more often.
