Americans are being governed by the elderly, whether in the government, the Senate, or the House (not to mention the Supreme Court). In a country with more than 300 million inhabitants, is this the best they can come up with? Where are Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z? Where is the critical, unbiased sense of Americans?
Where are the reforms, both in the electoral system and in the entanglement between the Christian religion and the government? (I don't know of another democratic country where the President takes the oath with their hand on a Bible. What will happen if they are an atheist?)
Americans, you are too important to the rest of the world not to evolve!

What's happened is that Americans are governed by the wealthy elites. It's in their best interest to keep the government weak and inept so they can continue to do as they please; don't you notice they're never in the news anymore despite most of our pressing economic problems steming directly from them?
The presidency is a job that requires a *lot* of knowledge and wisdom and built up networks of people. The elderly are the ones in our society that are best positioned to have acquired such traits.
Hi, American here. We arent governed by the elderly, so much as we are governed by corporations. The reason all of our politicians are old is that it's more financially efficient to keep an incumbent in power.
Millenials and younger (gen x votes with the boomers now,don't count on them) have a chance to fix things, but it's going to take decades before we have a majority large enough to overcome gerrymandering and the electoral college. Projections say around 2036 is where millennials and younger will have a 60% majority. Even then it will take still longer to undo the multitude of interconnected systems set up to maintain the status quo.
If the rest of the world needs America to evolve before 2050, they need to intervene somehow. Otherwise you just have to wait and hope like we're doing.
They should have had a coffin on stage as the 3rd party candidate.

The way our first-past-the-post elections work, I think you'd need to revamp the whole system in order for any 3rd party candidate to have a chance. And because they DON'T have a chance, they don't get seriously considered. The system's design does not really allow for more than 2 "serious" (using that term VERY loosely in this case) candidates.

My opinion of the debate: Trump repeated the same lies he’s been spouting for nearly four years.
Biden looked old and tired.
The moderators should have fact checked the both of them.
Final analysis: We need new leadership. Preferably in the form of educated, incorruptible, idealistic young people whose primary devotion is to the needs of the country and the masses rather than personal interests and corporate whims.

These election debates went from being a platform for candidates to discuss their ideas and policies to throwing punchlines and promises they can’t keep to now just petty insults to one another… how humanity has sunken
Biden must have or probably was given something for the State of the Union, and I don't find anything wrong with that, and I like that version of him better. I'm guessing Biden insisted on not taking whatever that was due to some ego / pride because Trump called him out on that; resulting in that disappointing performance of Biden during the debate.

Perhaps, but maybe he had taken something for his cold symptoms and it worked against him. But much of it, I'm positive, is he was in shock at the massive amount of lies tfg was spewing. He had no choice but to try and call them out all while trying to answer the questions. Live fact checking would have fixed this.

If we were still in (or if there had been) a primary phase where Biden was up against other candidates those would be valid arguments. But now that the ship has sailed its unfair to criticize Biden for something that the other option couldn't provide either.
