Ivor Scrotumic Au contraire, my friend. Prayer is unnecessary because “God” is omniscient (all knowing). And as we know, during natural disasters there’s always a large scattering of miraculously unscathed homes of all faithful Christian believers, while nonbelievers homes can always count on being leveled. In fact I’m surprised insurance companies don’t ask your religion, because obviously believers protected by the Almighty Lord’s Most Powerful Greatness consistently represent much lower risk to underwriters than the godless nonbelievers and atheists.

I was right in the eye of Wilma - I was in a brand new building built for this - my father stubborn as he is was 12 miles away and would not come over my husband and my apartment -
I’ll never forget watching the windows of the Starbucks across the street cracking and shattering before my eyes - the traffic lights swinging so fast and holding such powerful strengths and then seeing them snap off into god knows how far away or into god knows who’s window or home - all I could do was pray for all the people who had chosen not to evacuate and did not live in a building as strong as mine -
It’s 14yrs later and my father who lives in palm beach and is 14yrs older then he was for Wilma and thinking about how he won’t leave his home & all the others who won’t either ....
I pray for the Bahamas , May the fear be removed and God carry them through this - as I pray for Florida and my father who’s home is small and not strong enough to endure a storm of this magnitude -
I pray for all the children& the parents who are terrified ... to all the elderly home alone or with their elderly husbands / wife’s who are praying and waiting for the storm to pass - & to all the animals that are stuck - lost - under water or who are right now experiencing this frightening and deadly storm -
May God have mercy on all the hearts and all the souls in the path of this Hurricane 🙏🏻

mtnsmoke you do know that’s an outdated article right? And I’m pretty sure if the government could control the weather they keep it a secret.
Man has stopped modifying the weather since funding was cut in 2005. Since they realized how impossible that was. We can still control small scale weather events like making a cloud precipitate, more or less. But controlling large scale weather events like hurricanes? Not even in a million years.
I still don’t know how you people even have the idea that we can do something like that. It blows my mind. Why would the government destroy the Bahamas anyways? And why now? Just because you’re clueless on how hurricanes work and function doesn’t mean man created them. So please for now on use common sense and science instead of blatant conspiracy.

This should be a BIG lesson for all to see how strong these Hurricane are becoming year after year. Am living in Jamaica and always looking every year and praying for the best as JAMAICA is still on the edge. We only can hope for the best and ask God to keep us safe because we are not out of the blue yet. Take a look at Miami hurricane center many more as pop us.

It's because it's extremely organized and strong. It will be hard for it to weaken you, idiot. As its eye passes over the Bahamas the land and mountains will weaken it a little.

#1 it didn't and was not predicted to go overland
#2 if it did go over Florida it would die out as hurricanes weaken over land.
#3 there is no such thing as a cat 6.

Can anyone else believe that Dorian has not lost any of its strength. It has remained at 185 mph all day long and the Bahamas is getting trashed like a dumpster in isolation. SMDH. This is TRAGIC.

your explanations were very clear. Appreciated. No EWRC is interesting. I hope this case of none before this becoming a top-10 Atlantic hurricane helps them understand better what the mechanism is for the EWRC.
