Yes I pray for the seniors in this weather and the animals. All this horrible weather in all these states is so dramatic for all animals and birds. I have been feeding the birds for years. I buy bags of rice and cook it. I put a little oil on it and put out for birds in very cold weather. Its a cheap way to feed the birds if you can't afford bird food. Cheap cat food. Put a little oil on cat food and throw out to birds. I soak it water a few minutes before putting out for birds. Bless all who care for our animals. Please check on older people in this weather.
And people the homeless will need help also.

Many older Florida homes are not equipped with furnaces. I lived in one of them. Had to use a space heater and turn on the oven.
Get one of those electric throw blankets to put over you when you’re sitting on the couch. Super toasty
@JohnSmokesWeed , not electric ovens. I had to turn mine on too in the morning hours. I have a heating system but it gets overloaded and quits if exterior temperatures drop below 40 for long.
@JohnSmokesWeed , lol If my stubborn grandfather left the heat on 72 like I had it and put on some pajamas, instead of raising it up to 75 and being in his underwear during the chilliest morning hours then it would have kept working lol

Most citrus comes from overseas now. A lethal plant disease has killed off most of Floridas citrus groves. Florida citrus farmers have been switching over to other crops.

Come live in Florida for years so your blood would get acclimated to the heat then walk outside in 30-40 degree weather….

We get a couple of cold days like that each winter. Last year the coldest morning in my area was 28°. This year the coldest morning has been 38°.
Watch out for falling iguanas.
As a Floridian after this all the grass was dead. Only some plants (that aren’t big) survived. It rained after that and it flooded a bit

@JohnSmokesWeed thank goodness a lot of people don't steal. I have to pay for my food and on social security. I love fruit and the prices are already so high. The weather has effected a lot of our food sources and we get a lot from Florida because it is a warm climate. When states like this start getting cold weather then we are in trouble at the grocery store. High prices are just no food.
