There's a 90 years old grandpa in my village. He's my uncle's friend, so come to our home often. And he's one of the happiest person I've seen. Reason:He doesn't have internet or mobile and he focus on his own life. He works in farm even at this age. And walks a lot, sometimes ride bicycle. Apart from it, he has good moral values. There are lot of people like him in India

Religion shields everything , it is the key to happiness. Because if you believe in god then you know that nothing matters because you will die and be reincarnated. I used to be an atheist but then i realize i am much happier if i just believe in it even if i have doubt, because all of lifes hardships suddenly seem so small. Even if people tell me i am wrong, i dont care...it makes me happy ...so why would i stop?

My dearest neighbour send us couple meals (big portion) the very first day come back home from labour at hospital, I felt deeply touched and happy, no matter pain or tiredness I experienced. Other day, I cooked extra lunch for their family too, she said I made her day. ❤️

I don't know how, but like someone else mentioned, 2016 was somewhat the last year when things didn't go downhill and it's not even because of world events but personal issues.
yes... 20+ people agreed to that post saying that they haven't been happy for many years. Feel sorry for all of them! How many of them do Meditation on a Daily basis? I learnt Meditation about 1.5 years ago. Never been in a better place mentally, financially, physically in my life. Last 1+ year has been the best phase of my life.
I don't think anyone can make lasting positive changes without Daily Meditation in their routine.

I'm living in finland from last 4 year but a lot of finns are unhappy because of long winter season, we can't see sun in the winter it makes people depress and texes are so high here you can not save money here like you can do in uae, alot of people lose their jobs during pandemic and still some people are unemployed. scandenevia looks cool from outside but when you come here then you realize life is difficult here as well like any other place

Human greed is the basic cause of the global unhappiness. Lust and crave for materialistic growth has made us sick and unhappy. Mother Nature has given us everything to sustain but our lust and greed has snatched away our peace of mind ! Whatever little happiness was left in us has been taken away by the modern day information system especially the social media.

I think awareness shouldn’t be limited, without knowledge people become ignorant, and ignorance can turn to cruelty, as well as the vulnerability to be exploited, if people don’t know about the world then how can they react to it, and people who have horrors happen to them, people shouldn’t leave them behind or leave them on their own, connection of the masses keeps us all safe, makes sure things change for the better, it’s better we are aware and working for our collective benefit together then not and being divided and not knowing about what needs fixing

Unless one spends enough time in spiritual growth preferably in the nature, the inner batteries that are in charge for storing and feeding with positive energy are being drained and if that emptiness continues long enough one cen become spiritually dead. Not being aware of his condition he notices only the most obvious manifestations like sadness, unfulfillment, lack of energy, and unhappiness. But the cause of it all is in spending too much time indoors and with man made technology instead of finding time to be in awe of God's creation in us and around us.

@@riyak9102 For at least 30 minutes a day. If the day is busy, the body needs more energy. So, I meditdate for longer times on busy days. Meditation has helped me imrprove in my health, mental peace, relationships, finances. One great solution for everything.

here in South Africa all shops were only open half day on a Saturday and Sunday's all shops were closed, with exception street cafes.

My mind is now processing 2019 till now. Being in the funeral industry.... I'm now catching up to everything. Burn out lasted too long.
It's simple. We are moving away from our wholesome human nature and purely living in a sense organs go crazy world. We have successfully dissected the world to a level where we can't stitch it back. We have attributed everything on the planet, have valued a very narrow set of certain things/qualities as our ultimate goals and have channeled the notion of success towards securing them, in the process turning ourselves into lazy, devious and cowardly. And the tech has amplified this big time. When was the last time you had a wholesome conversation with a neighbor or a stranger that is not about if it benefits you or not?
As far India is concerned, most people struggle their entire lives and nothing has changed.
I was unhappy, until I realized I wasn't meant to live without God my creator, and O the joy that touched my soul, that was more than 20 years ago, nothing can sapperate me from the love of God, not covid, not war. I never been so happy in my entire life. Make that choice and give your life to Jesus. He will restore you and make you happy. I speak from experience

I am happy every day, I was happiest when i was poor ...happy in my marriage, in my future, in my present, in my past (and i had a really rough childhood), i am happy no matter what the world throws at me...because i am a buddhist and was taught to find joy in just a rose swaying in the wind. When you learn to find joy in something so small , then every experience aside is a celebration and every day i am in love, enraptured, and impassioned by life and nature....no time for sadness.
I can't imagine the dark places these people go into but it reminds me to be grateful that god allows me to see the things that others dont...they say religious people live longer, its not that they do...its just that they are generally happier and happiness is key to longevity.
