That 'so much time in front of me' comment just about broke my heart. I really hope that against all the odds he makes a full recovery, but I fear it will never happen.
This made me weep too..he worked hard, entertaining us all brilliantly all his life so he could free up some time at 48 to pursue other activities, then goes skiing and..the rest is history...God willing Michael is pulling through in some way...always in our thoughts x
Heartbreaking...all those things he said he would like to spend time on after 40..I guess skiing was one of them..too too sad..2019 now, keep fighting Michael, we all still love you very much x
GOAT. It's a shame you couldn't be with your son's career, it's still a pain to not have you in the paddock. I don't know how your condition is, but I keep praying you'll recover somewhat to at least have some normal life, you will always be my hero, and of many other F1 fans. He's just a great human being and the Brits always made him look like a villain whilst he's just a really cool, focused and modest man.
3:21 - So sad to hear that he said he has his whole life in front of him. Then, it all ended just a few years later. A friend's father was hoarding his $$$ to retire early and ride his Goldwing to Alaska. Then, he had a stroke and that was the end of that ambition. A garage full of motorcycles and not even able to walk. I heard he cries a lot now. So...CARPE DIEM!!
His life didn't end. He is recovering every day, and while it is questionable that he will ever be able to drive again, one day he may presume life as he wanted to.
we're ALL heartbroken Michael.... Im send you our Zen Love, and to your wife, and family, You will always be close to our hearts and minds my brother from another mother....
I pray he returns to us. He would be really happy seeing how Hamilton has been performing. He use to mentor Lewis and would love to see what he has done.
These brits are always so dull and unintelligent, unprepared, no humor, just bad...not the first time that this happened but Schumi just kept being professional and nice.
It is indeed an age where you say ok that is it. passing the forthy, yes I am still fit and I am capable and probably I still could compete. But on the other side you say Why? And you feel like you've done it. I agree, he still can compete. But he lost some speed and makes way more mistakes now then when he was the absolute king of f1. You can't be as good on your 43th then when you were 25 or 30.
Why does every Brit have to bring up some old as race car drive either from the UK or Ireland especially in the presence of a legend like Schumi. This guy needs a beating his whole attitude lacks respect for Schumi. The questions are rude and way to personal.
Neither Senna or Shumacher among the greats? What in the actual f*** are you smoking lol? They're both either GOAT or n.2. of all time, depending which one you prefer. And this is objectively the right opinion period.
Lovely to hear from you, after all this time@@tatskamaster . Thanks for sharing your outraged opinion. Sorry my subjective opinion upsets you to the point you were unable to read all of the words. Perhaps when you have time to calm down you'll be able to read the whole comment more objectively, and you will be able to make more sense of it. As a hint, I'm judging greatness based on the character of the driver rather than race results. All the best, yours respectfully, Jako

wonderful human, and such a phenomenal sportsman.
Wish him and his family the best in life.
For me the best F1 driver ever.

2022 now, still just as missed!

+Chris Purolover I really hope you're right, but so far his recovery has been very limited. It's sad.

@JeremyK 541OR. he is paralyzed, unfortunately
The best driver with the best personality ever. You have left a good legacy!
Schumacher > Hamilton
You made your case so eloquently...
Legend F1 champ with his humbleness. Kudos to him 👏🏼
such an irony...."..I have so much time infront of me...." well I hope you will one day enjoy once more your "second life" ...
he is alive

I miss you Micheal 🥺😔🏎❤️
It's nice how in the description there's data on when this interview took place.
all the best Michael. I hope you can recover and enjoy your second life after all.
Famous last words
the legend germans have everything the best
Months after this interview he decided to return to F1 with Mercedes. Amazing how time and momentum could change that decision to retire.
I stopped watching this video from feeling completely discusted with the interviewer...
why what did he do?
Cool interview
Half of his life a dream, fantastic, what any human would want.
The other half, hell, awful and tragic that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
Very sad.
Should have let any of the Three to interview him
KeepfightingMichael
die 2. Hälfte seines Lebens zu genießen war ihm nicht vergönnt 😢
Michael wir vermissen Dich sehr ❤️❤️❤️
you are totally right, and don't even mention the v6's....
Interviewer is a giblet
I pray he returns to us. He would be really happy seeing how Hamilton has been performing. He use to mentor Lewis and would love to see what he has done.
Interesting how they discussed potential budget caps in 2009, and all these years later there’s now a budget cap.
so even in 2010 F1 was talking about cost caps - maybe at last in 2021????
#keepfightingmichael
is it obvious that these two guys are separate interviews or one is just filmed to overlap the other interviewer
😝
why did they cut it up into little parts. just to get views?
damn annoying.

"sorry about that, meant to send you a card." Typical TopGear... Ambitious but rubbish.
hmmm FIA shouldn't reduce cost of a sport we all love an enjoy too be the peak of racing

@caetanoffaleiro guess only brits find that funny...
´massa was more then good for schumi.he drive with brain.
Dead man
An amazing driver, but a flawed character.
For me, the same applies to Senna.
Both amongst F1's most successful drivers, but not amongst the Greats.
amongst? Schumacher is the best, better than Senna or anyone else.
