I recently purchased a 2023 Scout Lite, and I can't say enough GREAT about this little guy. Only had it for a couple months, but I've gone camping many times in that space, and I love it for so many reasons. With the A/C and the tiny space heater I bring on board, I think this truly is a 3 to 4 season camper. It pulls beautifully behind my Subaru Outback. I'm one of those people who enjoys cooking on a fire pit or my propane stove outdoors, so this camper really fits the bill. I recommend it highly. Seems that every campground I visit, my Scout Lite is a topic of conversation with my fellow campers!!

@@eduardoyanez3375 when I purchased the camper, I had a '21 Premium Outback. I recently purchased a '24 Onyx XT model....upped the towing capacity by 1,000 lbs and has about 100 more ponies. Ironically I have yet to pull the camper because I'm up at my summer home, and the trailer is back at the winter house. But I'm sure I'll feel a big difference between the two cars.

Love PJ to bits. She's the best at these types of walkthroughs. Stating what this size model "starts" at price range wise should really be included. The segment is time stamped so someone watching this yrs later would expect the price to have changed. I can't imagine someone watching this segment who likes the trailer would "not" want to know roughly what they start at price wise. Thankyou, the trailer looks well made yet lightweight too.

What I want is a bed, a small sink, a toilet and shower, a small refrigerator, and AC.
I want a simple motel room, nothing extra. You cook outside, rough it, if you have to, or get take-out.
Basically, it's a tent with a bathroom and AC.
Electric blanket, try one of those water tube mattress toppers. They are popular in Japan.

Lots of factors go into determining what you need to tow a trailer safely. I tow my Scout Lite with a Rav4 hybrid, 1750 lb tow rating, and it tows great, but I wouldn't stress it by towing a lot in big mountains or taking 1,000 mile trips. A car with a 1500 lb tow rating wouldn't be advisable. Once you load it with what you'll need you'll be at or over the limit. My Scout Lite is 1535 lbs with everything in it. Tongue weight is another concern.
All the A-liners have brakes so you'd also want a brake controller, even if brakes are technically not required in your state for that size trailer.

I'm 6'1" and have enough headroom in the standing area, and fit fine in the bunks, though the front one is very narrow at 30". The headroom at the peak is 7' 1". One of the attractions of the A-frame versus something like a small teardrop is that you can stand up straight in it. You have to be careful when sitting on the bunks/benches, though! The soft front dormer, which I have, gives you a lot more headroom on the front bench/bunk.

Completely asinine design. There is zero reason for the triangle shape and the resulting loss of space.

I've designed my own hardshell that avoids this issue but still "pops up".
