    The fiberglass dormer is also far superior to the canvas sided one in a severe windstorm, like you might encounter camping anywhere in the Southwest deserts, even in mid-winter.

    I wish they would design the bathroom with fold up or telescoping walls similar to the trailer itself. That shower curtain and strap thingy is hokie design. The mafia has a saying... don't eat where you $#!+.

      @@UberAdventures101 but it would be nice to have more stable shower walls - I would likely never use the toilet in here unless emergency for #1. but a shower curtain would still make a mess in there and start the mold/rot on the floors

    Very impressive use of space. There are tiny apartments in Tokyo that are half that size on the inside. (Sadly, not even joking.)

    Really like the look of this as my new bronco has a low towing capacity, but it's not in the cards until said bronco is paid off.

      Same i got the bronco sport and i was so disappointed in the towing capacity but this maybe makes it possible .. i think … i have a larger camper but like an idiot got rid of my GMC Sierra Denali that would tow the world lol … i have done some dumb things in my life but getting rid of that truck was nearly #1 .. i just got so tired of it being so big and traveling back and forth from alabama to louisiana on those roads .. it was just too much for me. But i do regret it. Trying to find a small trailer that the “Baby Bronco” will actually pull without ripping the motor out.. not much luck so far. But maybe this would do. We will see lol

      @@ltm28 Good luck. I get it - I had a dodge with the 5.7L Hemi, towing capacity 3½tons - but I didn't start thinking about camping until I got a vehicle that's good off road.

      @@UberAdventures101 I went with a Jeep Gladiator, as a Jeep Wrangler's towing-capacity -- like the Bronco's -- was WAY too low: For me, 3500lbs is pretty useless. So SUVs like the Jeep Wrangler/Ford Bronco were not even on my Short List. Actually, back then the Bronco wasn't even OUT yet -- just a lot of Ford advertising hype for 2 years running. Even IF I wanted a Bronco (didn't) they were vaporware -- didn't exist.
      Didn't want a full-size truck (too big to fit in my garage anyway!) or a V8 engine -- didn't need THAT much power, that little MPG and overkill towing-capacity -- so it had to be something mid-size and V6 (nothing turbo). The choice was between a Chevy Colorado ZR2 and Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, as besides higher towing-capacity I was ALSO looking for the "most serious/4x4/off-road-capable" truck, too. Back then (April 2021), Chevy dealers anywhere near me (in Colorado) had no ZR2s (especially in the color I wanted) on their lots (they were pretty bare!) and after almost 3 months of waiting for "my" ZR2 (due to the computer-chip shortage), got my $1K deposit back. Two 2 days later I had the Jeep (off a dealer's lot: They had PLENTY of Wranglers & Gladiators -- no chip shortage there).
      I needed more towing capacity mainly because when I move (about every 3-4 years), I do it all myself, so I needed enough of a towing-capacity to handle the largest U-Haul trailer (6x12) even if were overloaded. PLUS, I wanted 1500-2000lbs of "headroom" as I didn't want to tow at or anywhere near max towing capacity. My Rubicon's 7000lbs was perfect (the ZR2 was 5000lbs back then and that was the minimal capacity I wanted ).
      And just in case I DO get a small travel-trailer (also off-road capable) in the future, the Gladiator can easily handle that was well, as I don't think I'll need to tow anything over 4500lbs.
      So for me, a Jeep Gladiator was my ONLY choice -- by default. ;-)
      TODAY though, given the ZR2's increased towing-capacity (and other improvements making it even MORE off-road-capable), the choice would be a bit harder.
      But for sure, NO regrets getting the Gladiator Rubicon...
      "Jeep Wave" ;-)

      Towing rules of thumb say, don't do it!
      You generally need to have a 25% safety buffer between towed vehicle weight and your tow rig specification.
      Technically, you would need a dry weight of the RV to not exceed 1,875 pounds.
      Of course you can tow it, but the wear and tear on your Pilot will haunt you at a later date. $$$

    • @jjnxyz4368
      @jjnxyz4368 Před rokem +1

      @@CC_Marauderyes, don't even think of pulling max capacity without bigger radiators for the motor/transmission and maybe even an extra transmission cooler. I would actually say that for a 2000 lb towing vehicle stick to 1500 lbs to stay safe.
      Even a 2500 lb automatic isn't really made for towing. You can't really tow this with any decent amount of cargo or water

    • @UberAdventures101
      @UberAdventures101  Před rokem +1

      The main things affected by towing is actually the transmission and of course the brakes. Vehicles can tell more than what their rated for it however breaks cannot stop more than what they're rated for.

    Where do you keep water when you are off grid.
    Can you get a pull out fridge freezer also Dometic?
    Also,
    Is there screen doors ,outside canopy
    Ceiling or side wall fans?
    Also, does it have a on demand hot water..

    • @UberAdventures101
      @UberAdventures101  Před rokem +2

      Yes, there is an outdoor shower as well! You might have to carry it in a seperate tank. But I don't think these are the best for off grid camping. No screen door, you have a ceiling vent fan. It has a 6 gal hot water tank. And the fridge is not meant to be moved and it is a Dometic.

      Having an RV is also good in other kinds of "emergencies" -- such as needing to evacuate due to some natural or man-made disaster, such as a coming hurricane, rainstorm/flooding, forest fires, whatever: You'll have a place to live and avoid getting priced-gouged by hotels...AND, not even need to STAY in an expensive hotel for who knows HOW long, as MOTS of us "evacuees" couldn't afford it and go broke!
      So an RV certainly can come in handy, even for "non-recreational" uses.
