Ya know, it's not so much the "Wokeness" as it is just exceptionally bad storytelling and acting. It's like a bunch of 8th grade students writing and acting stories for 2nd graders. And the writing... OMFG. The "Let's keep practicing on this beach" Mandalorians. They deserve to die, like the good citizens of Nevarro... who live in a place with pirates, reject joining the new republic, don't have any defenses, and then cry a pirates show up. I guess that's Disney definition of fantasy: You don't have to sleep in the beds you make.

Grogu returning isn't bad.
Luke in legends
Accepts that the dogmatic view of the jedi indeed goes against what the jedi stand for (aka love human connection feeling emotions and accepting them as opposed to pretending to be above them)
Compared to Canon luke who by all appearances hasn't learned making grogu choose as opposed to let him stay connected and become jedi or accepting him as a force sensitive mandalorian.
Writers dropped the ball.
It also is more apparent that grogu has exceeded luke in regards to skill.
He learned from the best force users during the Republic era academy (most likely yoda and yaddles son)hence why she also appeared in tales of the jedi .
After having his memories unlocked luke should have given grogu the sabre and vest one for protection in regards to offence and the defensive qualities of the beskar would have made sense also that ashoka isn't a jedi but force sensitive.
They also need to back off from focusing on bo katan and focus primarily on mando and grogu bo should have been the main antagonist this season
Moff for as good a villain as he was should have died s2 finale and left contingency plans for imperial remnants to rebuild on mandalore forcing Katan and din to forge an alliance to free the planet from imperial forces and the pair finally dueling it out for the dark sabre with bo and the armourer accepting din as the leader of mandalore.
Yeah, I would have loved to see Lloyd’s acting outshine them by having a villian who was as bad as can be and un remorseful in his purposeful actions. Instead it was like watching a child get caught with his hand in a cookie jar and saying sorry to mommy while getting sent to time out.

That whiteboard is the symbol of the disaster. They are not creating a world because they are inspired to follow a thread of events for a character within a world. They are creating a world and characters that tick boxes and satisfy constraints. They literally made creativity into a mcdonalds production line.
That's basically the entirety of how and why Matrix 4 was made -- so much in fact that they had a white board session to check off boxes in the movie.

You missed the part where Mando sends R5D4 out to the mines first, and when contact is lost, Mando says, Oh well, I didn't really need a robot anyway, I was just too lazy to do it myself. Rendering the previous side quests to get a working robot helper a complete waste of time.

You got to feel for that one person in the Disney story group who is a die hard Star Wars fan (legends included) and is pitching all these epic ideas but keeps getting shut-down with words like 'DIVERSITY', 'DINOSAUR', 'ACTUAL ENDING'. Also, Mando has been the main character for seasons 1 and 2 and they have a note saying 'No Single (main) character'....

The writing feels like it’s a cartoon for 9 year olds. Then you watch andor, a show that was boring at first, but then blossomed into a real show that adults can get into.

They don't seem to understand a simple rule: if it looks like padding, it probably is.
I think the biggest problem with all of it- they didn’t know the ending before they began. That would have allowed for for shadowing and a strong understanding of what the main charters arcs would be.

Maybe it's a good thing. Remember that song "Californication". Hollywood and western media had us basically living in la la land with the wool over our eyes while a bunch of p3dos ran the whole thing who consistently screwed over talented people, stole and benefitted from their work, bought their way into governments and kept people living in fictional worlds. I hope people actually wake up and return to the real world after seeing that the stuff they were so invested in was just..well, made up, and open to the whims and fancies of whoever owned it. Hollywood was never that great. It was mostly talentless hacks making lots of money off of unrecognised talent. At some point they started to believe the lie themselves, pushed out the good crowd, and started pushing their own "ideas".
Meanwhile the internet became a way for many people to put out their creative work without having to rely on some sleazy p3do.

I genuinely think Bo Katan wasn’t originally meant to be part of the season, it makes more sense for Din (who’s the real owner of the darksaber, killed a krait dragon, defeated Moff Gideon & a dark trooper in single combat, who’s earned the respect of the Jedi & is a genuinely stand up guy) to be the next ruler of Mandalore, hell I even think the Mythosaur scene was only meant to include him, but they changed it last moment to Kahtlee- I mean Bo Katan Kryze
The fact everyone immediately forgives the bitch is pretty stupid considering the role she played in gaslighting the downfall of Mandalore and actually CAUSING it not even ten years later
They OPed her and made her stronger and smarter than Din. Literally every female in the show is smarter and craftier or stronger than the men in general or Din and Bo Katan is the ultimate example of that.
I think Lizzo played the role of a noble leading a society completely devoid of anyone working and who’d die without robots perfectly.
I'd point to the fact that on a planet with droids (one can even say droids who hated humans), having humans democratically elected as their leaders is a bizarre choice.
But then I remember this is modern day Star Wars. :/

I heard a pretty good theory that the CEO Bob Iger knew that firing her would bring a media shitstorm against Disney.

It makes me LOL that Grogu is clearly frightened of his past and is near twice the age of Luke Skywaker and still doesn`t realise that fear leads to the dark side...
After the two new movies (never went to see the third) I was apprehensive but delighted at season 1. My main concern was that they weren’t going to be able to keep to the formula and that “baby Yoda” would turn out to just be a gimmick. Season two mostly held together but the episodes seemed to follow a pattern from video games where you have to “find a key in order to proceed” rather than keep a cohesive narrative. At the finale I was shocked they were willing to close Grogu’s arc, but was interested in seeing how the show would develop when it returned. Then news dropped they had fired Gina… and that Grogu would be back somehow. I had no interest in watching after that. It had great promise, but the show couldn’t live up to it.

I bought the blu ray of the first one, but never bothered to buy the other two.
Rogue One is the only good movie from the modern era imho. And it is the one that has the least to do with Jedi, the force and this fantasy BS. And yet, it has one of the cooles scene of the COPD-stage-4-patient.
It also explains reasonable some "plotholes" of the first movie (how they got the plans, and why the Death Star had this weak spot in the first place).

I know! Because it was ACTUALLY good in Seasons 1-2...Even the Boba episodes with them weren't bad. Then THIS! I mean. I have no problem with Bo Katan being the leader etc. But the all over the place lazy dialogue and shooting and faux story in this season is just... well... it makes me sad...
It was only a matter of time... Current Disney will ruin and consume all that was once loved and cherished.

Season 1 had some eh episodes, but it was great overall, season 2 started the cameo, brain dead dialogue, and side plot pattern that became TBOBF, Kenobi, and the 3rd season. It was okay/tolerable at first, then it became the norm
When I heard that Disney was buying Star Wars over 10 years ago now, I remarked: "Oh no. They are going to have Vader doing Vaudeville!" And while that was rhetorical for Disney essentially ruining Star Wars, even my worst imaginings were not as bad as what they actually did.
Same here, I was horrified by the purchase. After a while, my anger subsided, and now I'm just laughing at the sheer stupidity.

The worst part of all is is that us, the fans who are watching our childhood be milked and turned in to a joke are completely outnumbered by newer fans who like Star Wars this way. In my opinion Obi-Wan Kenobi was the worst piece of Star Wars content to ever be released, yet it still did very well money wise and even got positive reviews. As long as Disney still gets money they won't care to put effort into these movies and shows. At this point it's almost relieving to find someone else who also doesn't think the Book Of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Mandolorian Season 3 are cinematic masterpieces and the peak of this once golden, now dead franchise.

Positive reviews? If the bar is low enough, something boring like Kenobi feels like a masterpiece. In our cinematic age, the bar is extremely low. Also we live in a Like/Dislike society, apparently there is no middle ground anymore.
Money? You watch Kenobi by paying a Disney+ subscription (or by saying "ahoy" °wink °wink), you're not paying for Kenobi specifically. It's just content they can put on their platform. They won't release any numbers and the public will never truly know what money they made, it's not like with movies in theatres.

What's more scary is how many still love superheroes like Spiderman, despite being past age 25. Time to shed skin and move on to better things, ffs.

I love how it was made clear that Din was being set up to be the next leader of the mandalorians but in season 3 its immediately shifted back to Bo Katan. You can tell that ending really ruffled some feathers behind the scenes and season 3 has been "corrected" because of it.
I've no problem with a woman leader - but she needs to do more than have the job handed to her on a plate. There's no drama in that.

The biggest problem with Bo-Karen is she has a terrible past and stopped to be a total Karen just in this season. She doesn´t deserve to rule. She already had two chances and it ended up badly both times. Her claim to the darksaber is the most legitimate she has ever had but it´s still questionable. If it wasn´t she could take it in ep 2. And her ex-goons-turned-again-goons are spineless jerks and can´t be trusted.

She was already rewarded instead of punished for her terrible deeds. She should dedicate the rest of her life to helping someone much better than her to rule, and that someone is Din who has been foreshadowed as the new Manda´lor since the beginning. He made peace between Cobb´s people and the Tuskens, he already started to unite the Mandos when he took Bo to his clan. Hell, she would be sitting in her castle and swallowing antidepressants until this day if he didn´t go to Mandalore. OK, not until this day. Until that day when the TIE interceptors bombed her home.

Yeah. I thought to have it, you have to defeat the person who has the dark saber, in combat. Moff Gideon clearly said it at the end of season two (and was mentioned in The Clone Wars).
When the show runners can't even be bothered to keep continuity from literally one season to the next. Eff Star wars. This ends when we say it does. 🖕🏾😤
Jon and Dave wanted Grogus story to come to nice neat close with the end of S2. But Disney and Kathleen didn't want to lose Baby Yoda merchandise and risk losing people interested in the show.

There have been more and more clues cropping up, as episodes continue, that the budget is becoming a problem. One scene in the latest episode was blatantly just filmed in an open field with a bunch of props dumped on it.

A pity Bo Katan wasn't the one who had the bad tweet, they would have actually had to keep Din as the main character.
Disney clickbaited us with the trailer which made it look din and grogu on the journey to mandalore with some side quest on the way and bo katan entering mid season to fight din and get back the dark saber. Instead they completed the task in two episodes and it suddenly shifted in bo katan show which gives bad taste since no one likes getting clickbaited. If they really wanted bo katan as the main character they should have just made the title Bo Katan and people would have still watched it like the Ahsoka show.

I gave up on it after the "you walk in both world's, so you can take your helmet off" episode. This whole thing has become a farce. This is what happens when the creator's book is thrown out and hasbeen try to make up their own shit as they go along to push an agenda over what serves the story or the universe the story is set in. Like I told my family over Good Friday New Zealand lamb roast dinner, "Star Wars is dead. There is no saving it."
The same has been happening with Star Trek, and it was about to die too, however Picard season 3 has brought back the diehard fans like myself who have watched almost all TV shows and movies over the past decades. But, even this I am watching wearily cause it could fall back into "its the fans fault our show sucks." And before too long we will back to agenda tv episodes again.
I doubt they care anymore. If Chapek was smart he would guy Lucas Film and ask George to come back with a brand new creative team and start where ge wanted to take it after Episode 6. Nut, they won't cause they have too much arrogance and pride to humble themselves to actually admit they got it wrong and that they should have just done it the way George has set out the plots. This is cow that has been over milked. There is nothing but blue milk left in the sack.

I have no problem with Jack. He actually has some charisma and is usually pretty enjoyable in whatever he's in. But any day where I don't have to see or hear about Lizzo the Low-Class, Narcissistic Land Whale is a great day. Season 3 already seemed pretty much unwatchable compared to the previous 2 seasons, but Lizzo the Hut being in it has made it so you could not pay me enough to watch it now.
Seeing Jack Black was okay but what killed it for me was Lizzo's "acting".
Favreau is obviously being held hostage. Whatever dirt the studio has on him must be huge. 😂

As soon as Bo-Katan showed up to “rescue” Din Djarin in the mines, I knew the show was going to be focusing on her, with Din Djarin as support. She got the character arc and conclusion, and Mando gets stuck with Baby Yoda, even though he should have been training as a Jedi with Luke Skywalker, rendering the first two seasons meaningless. I’m done with Disney Star Wars at this point.
It gives me some measure of comfort to believe that out there in the multiverse somewhere, there's a Lucas that never sold Star Wars to Disney.
There is a universe out there where great quality movies/tv shows are being made

This was more entertaining than the whole Mandalorian show.
You can really appreciate just how unique the creatures, species George lucas and his team had created. I think the current creative team has even failed to use the existing creative blueprints that was left by George. I'm trying to understand why on earth are dinosaurs part of starwars.
I'm having a hard time understanding why horned devils were part of George Lucas Star Wars, or why all aliens are humanoid. Fact is the only problem with all these bad movies is that they are a part of "franchises". That equals bad product. Just remember that next time you pay for your stupid spiderman movie, you're contributing to "franchise" industry.

Baby Yoga was too profitable, they couldn't let that cash cow go away so they had to force at least two more seasons. The irony is Grogu is barely involved in this season. Most episodes so far he's a side character at best with hardly any screen time.
That's where it ended for me, no need to watch more. Because Grogu never shows up in future SW movies or is mentioned again it's easy just to accept his fate was a mystery, or maybe he tragically died when Kylo destroyed Luke's school.

I feel bad for John Favs.... imagine being a world class director, in charge of the biggest consecutive series of movies in history, culminating in a movie that toppled James Cameron's epic work and set new precidences, and gave us nearly 20 years of entertainment, to move over to Lucusfilm, direct barely two seasons of a show before getting every single project he is "assigned to" utterly demolished and nitpicked into oblivion, but still "allowed" to have his name plastered on it like a good little scapegoat while Kennedy dances away into the dilusional sunset she created for herself

The budget per episode for the mandalorian was around 15 million dollars and as a comparison GOT cost around 6 million per episode( not the last season which cost 15 million).
This goes to show that you don’t need a super big budget , looking at you rings of girl power, but you NEED a good story.
Also, the costumes and the cgi in season 3 of the mandolorian were f*cking Hilarious.
Fuck it! the amount of money the studios are throwing in these series is mind boggling. Good producer could make dozens of 30 million dollar movies (some even in location, not just with green screen in studio) with good character actors and decent screenplays with these bloated budgets. The current radicalized political ideology that is pushed by radical activists within the industry is actively destroying all of the major IPs, that includes Star Wars. Their ESG and DEI policies dictated by the current president's party and major institutions are killing the American entertainment industry from within. Star Wars is a dead IP and it's not just KK's fault but the fault of many people including the top executives at Disney and people that go beyond just this company and are involved in the policy making that effect the creation of Entertainment as a whole. There is an industry wide crisis that is getting worse.
