what about the acceleration resolucion? you can manage slow speeds or it goes immediately to 100% power?!
as a MTB user u can easily adjust to trigger throttle ,as thats the placed in mtbs where your rear brakes are placed which you use allot and you have the muscle memory of using your finger ,your thumb gripping the handlebar seems natural aswell in this position (imagine what happens if you need to slam the brakes fast and your finger pushes the accel lol )and your thumb doesent get tired by holding it like that , if you use trigger finger throttle, u cant mount it vertical lol ,u gotta mount it at the same or close angle to what you have the brakes mounted at ,most people use it close to vertically its ridicoulously unvomftable like that ofc ,and everybody knows you need to adjust your weight on bikes and escooters ,acelerate escooter you lean forwards brake lean backwards you dont jsut sit there like a fig if you drive it agresivly ,so saying that theres a risk that you acelerate to fasst and press the throttle is just crazy ,you can anticipate acelerating but you cannot anticipate braking in the same way lol /

Nice tutorial. I do this today my ti30 and its working very nice. In the beginning there is little "deadzone" like u have in video. But its awesome mod.

@Pirate do you have any idea if there is any possible modification in the wiring (with the original Laotie Ti30 JIPIN controllers) that could allow selecting just front wheel drive (replacing the turbo/eco switches of course)?
You can achieve that by swapping the controllers

Great tutorials, thank you! Do you recommend this upgrade or the use of your ThrotX? Both appear to be great solutions but wanted to know if the sensitivity of thumb throttle is improved over the stock throttle.
Throttle sensitivity is a bit better on both, throtx you U can remove any time and use both thumb/point at the same time, hardware change is not easy to redo.

The only issue with that specific type of throttle is water ingress can be a big issue. There is a different style of thumb throttle that is similar but isnt ambidextrous that is much better at resisting water ingress.
but this stuff can be even used under water ;) , 5v is way too small to make short circuit over 1mm distance 🍕🍻

@@PirateOnCZcams My previous throttle would beg to differ after being rained on. I needed to use PAS settings to control my speed until I took it apart and dried it out.
@@thepretiso Unfortunately I cant find any listings specifically for that throttle. Most throttles arent bad with water resistance, I was just giving a word of warning for that specific throttle.

Hi, today I have a thumb throttle and I love it. I will get my SR10 tomorrow because its lighter than TI30. I am now wondering if I made a bad choice. The SR10 is probably to slow after a while. Anyways to your question Pirate, I dont have any tools to change the throttle but one of my colleague have tools and said he could borrow me tools or even help me with it. So this won´t be the last question I have to you :D

heyy, nice video. I got a couple guestions before i buy my first chinese e scoot. Has the battery capacity dropped in long term use? Have you heard about the issue with Laotie es19 wobbling issue? And you should make some top speed videos.
I have wobbling issues on my es 19. Will try to fix it this weekend.

Es19 is very wobbly , I would go with Ti30
@@perunao4823 I would not recommend to buy the es 19. It came with broken turn indicators wobbly wheels and the rear controller died after 100 meters. I just replaced the rear controller myself because the dealer send me the wrong one lol. Now I have huge wobble issues, almost fell at 40 mph because of that.

Hi I have Boyueda and I can't use the throttle just a little bit like you. Even the slightest throttle move just spin the wheel to great speed, not precise slow control like you have. What to do? Is there anything in P-settings? I tried change pedal settings but it won't affect anything. Thx a lot!!!

@@jiak3 There is no solution for it, except to change all electronics for Ti30 (square wave controllers and throttle) or to better sine wave one's without this throttle lag. It will spin rapidly only when the wheel is off the ground and it is normal when you are riding it. But there is still this little delay when you pull the throttle but in the end it is not that bad and I get used to it.
I have done the thumb throttle on my LT01 display. Can it cause worse performance? Like if I press all the way it only feels like 80 percent

Not in those big ones but its quite easy , and spare bearings U can find in almost any shop.

I don't quite get why do you think this one is better than trigger. Anyway... Do you know why thumb trottle has this dead zone in the beginning of movement? It does't work at all unless you push it 0.5-10mm forward. This is pretty annoying, since it is harder to controll starting speed.
When u will ride scoot fast or for long time, and maybe some atv, u will understand (honestly 🍻🍕)

Thanx for the video brother..I replaced the battery for my scooter and the display is not reading that the battery is full....tested battery output..tested output from bms with different meters and it shows 58V but my display only shows 56V and capacity only shows 50%..Thank You.
