- Here's my review of the JA Throttle Attachment, is designed to fit on e-bike twist throttles with a diameter of 37mm (+/- 1.5mm).

Kobe, try putting the thumb control level with the red button at idle. That is how I set mine and it does not get in the way of the button as much, feels more natural. At full throttle your thumb is then where it normally is while riding. Personal preference of course.
Throttles are fun. The music is a nice touch too.
Just what's needed nice Easy Fix to get over that problem of twist throttle giving a sore hand brilliant little invention.

Ordered 2 coming on the 15th (had to get one for the little woman). I hear the twist throttle at long distance can be a bear. This would be good for the wife's bike .. great vids....

My question is, when you are not using it on pedal assist- isn’t it just in the way on the grip. You have to avoid it by moving your hand to the right, half off the grips?
Nifty little product but the real issue is that many people, especially inexperienced and new eBike riders, still inadvertently function the twist throttle when moving the bike around or walking with it, exactly like you did at the first of the video where you forgot the bike was still on electric power. I checked the link to this product and really a person can buy a complete plug-and-play new thumb throttle for the same or less than the price of this JA E-Bike Throttle Attachment and it only takes a few minutes to swap out the twist throttle to the thumb throttle.
It's a neat addition, I wonder how little throttle manufacturers consider the awkward and even painful effect their designs can cause. A good throttle makes for a better riding experience, period. I've eliminated my pain and have better control with the half-throtttle by wrapping thick rubber tape around the throttle increasing its diameter half an inch so my fingers are more easily relaxed to grip it.
+Steve Donovan that's a great Point Steve. As people look to save money I guarantee you they're going to start looking at their automobile. The car is one of the biggest expenses besides the house and when people begin to figure it out that they can convert at least one car to an electric bike I think the market will continue to expand and grow year-over-year. And I think the differentiator between the difference electric bike manufacturers will be these types of designs and strong configuration options.

That was great. video my throttle just went out on my bike like a bike I'd greatly appreciate it
note for bill jutz i use a 1/5/8 wide inner tube, cut a piece off about 1 inch wide, off an old tube. and if your hand grips are a level fit to the half throttle, stretch it over, so it covers about a half inch over the twist throttle, gives just enough friction to hold the throttle, does not jam, but you have to be careful as it will not fly back on its own. don,t let the cops see it, use one on my moped, useful to give a faster tick over so it does not stall when cold and stationery. you can over ride it easily.
correction when i said 1/5/8 wide. i meant when you flatten it out, thats what it measures.or 1/1/8 dia tube.
Just get a full twist throttle i had a half twist like you do on your bike but couldn't deal with it....
I need the thumb throttle too. My palm goes numb using the twist throttle.

I don't know what the hell they were thinking with these twist throttles..I been riding electric scooters so long with thumb throttle that twist throttle would be uncomfortable for me I definitely would try this if the ebike I get don't have a thumb throttle..
Can the red throttle button be removed and set the throttle to be "hot" all the time ?
I wouldn't recommend it. You probably could but it'd be quite dangerous if somebody accidentally grabs the back of the tire....

That red button disengages the motor instantly.

the rad rover is better due to the panasonic batteries also the price also the 1 year warrenty rad is great with there customer service everything i've had to warranty has been fixed fast!
I can't say anything about the rover but I have a 750 All Terrain Kush. The bike is awesome and customer service has been Top Notch.

It works well, I just find the thumb part too short (which makes you feel the edge too much on the thumb). I've reached out and asked them to make that part longer. It's still a very cool product.

I have another idea, can you make one that wedges the throttle at a specific setting like a cruise control? Perhaps one that clips onto the break lever so it disengages when you pull the break lever.

We are still here! We are focusing our efforts on our plug an play headlight which sold out in less than 48 hours this past weekend! We did suspend our store the past few months tho while catching up on production and advancements

For anyone interested.. these are out of stock, and from their facebook, they aren't planning on making more anytime soon. Talk about disappointing. Why bother to make and sell a product if you offer it for barely 3 months? I was willing to spend double their asking price.. Guess they don't want to make money. Oh well.

Yes, I also think it messed up my throttle by breaking the spring. The only upshot is it acts like a cruise control.
@@smidgelife Do you mean that this throttle attachment somehow broke your throttle? I was thinking about getting it but I don't want it to mess anything up.
