Farewell of Slavianka (Russian: Прощание славянки - Proshchaniye slavyanki) is a Russian patriotic march, written by the composer Vasily Agapkin in honour of the Slavic women accompanying their husbands in the First Balkan War. The march was written and premiered in Tambov in the end of 1912. In summer of 1915 it was released as a gramophone single in Kiev. Slavyanka means "Slavic woman".
The melody gained popularity in Russia and adjoining countries during World War I, when the Russian soldiers left their homes accompanied by this music. This march was performed also during parade of 7 November 1941 on the Red Square, after which soldiers went straight to fight in Battle of Moscow. This march was also used as an unofficial anthem of Admiral Kolchak's White Army.
This version of lyrics is written by Vladimir Lazarev in 1984 and it has gained the popularity since the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991 because of the slower tempo and the added human fragility factor ("Farewell, fatherland, remember us, ... ... not all of us will come back. ...").

Russian "Farewell of slavianka" has more common russian traditional things, like God, Orthodox faith horugv' (flag of Grand Duchy of Moscow), soldier honor, etc.
At the same time Sovet has a story of the Great Patriotic War in it.
That was an average thing in SU - copy Tsarist songs and make their own text and "Partisanian song", which was copied from "March of Siberian riflemen" is the exact example of that.

В советское время многие люди все еще любят эту песню. Однако в те времена любая деятельность по поводу Российской империи была запрещена в СССР.
