Only when Kerensky took power did he sort out the farmers issue. The problem was that Russia lost most of its train drivers in the war, and what were left were being used to transport troops to the front. This led to grain just sitting around in box cars waiting to be sent out to the villages and towns across all of the Russian empire. The best feed nation was the USA.
