    Hello everyone, I apologize for the shaky portions of the video. It's due to the solid motor mount in the car, and I will work to resolve this in the videos to come in the future. Thank you so much for watching!

    I literally just picked an AP1 just 2 weeks ago with 60K and it looks and drives like no other car I've driven in recent years, which is exactly the reason I got it. I have a B9 RS5 that I daily and quite frankly no matter how fast it is on paper it just can't live up to this Hondas generation of vehicles. I've had many sporty cars and I'm always wanting the older generation feel as everything has become numb and techno-laden these days. I have been searching for a while and the 9000 rpm engine was a must for me as there are limited automobiles that can actually rev that high, especially in a world where nothing is unique anymore and the same turbo engine can be used in an entire lineup with just a different tune.
    I really appreciated your video as we seem to share the same views on this matter.

    • @REVlogue

    I got a 2013 Scion FR-S to start my credit. I wanted the S2000 first, but I had a budget. At the same time I’m glad I didn’t get it yet because I think would’ve not gotten the right one. I kinda got screwed over when getting the FR-S simply cause I was too excited getting it. I’m hoping by the end of next year I will be getting one by trading the frs or something like that. I’m doing my research right now for the car and looking forward it. But for right now I’m going to be riding a frs and having fun doing so. Great video, videos like these make me wanting one even more

      Thank you for the comment! I too started with a BRZ and moved onto the S2000. Honestly they're both great cars, some even argue that the 86 platform is easier to drive faster. I had a big off in the brz, and I think about that crash sometimes.. had I been in the S2000 I probably would have come out worse. I'd say go drive the FRS to its full intent, become a better driver, and it still won't be too late to enjoy the S2000 later!

      Thanks for checking out the video :) I'd say make sure the timing chain tensioner has been taken care of, and make sure all the gears are in good condition as a lot of ppl drive these pretty hard ruining the synchros. In general I avoid any modded vehicles. Honda labels all the body panels with a vin sticker, so make sure to check that out. There are so many thorough videos of what to look out for when buying an S2000, mainly Savagegeese one, so please check that out.

      @REVlogue  Před 4 lety +1

      Hello thanks for watching! What is your budget if you don't mind me asking? Obviously I like the car quite a bit, but 200k miles is also pretty high. If you're dead set on an S2000 and the one with the 200k miles is the one you can afford, then I would recommend doing a leak down test as well. Also keep in mind there will be bushings and other misc parts you'll need to replace to keep the car in a good running condition.
