I'd say Matt got like 10% right in this theory. Yes, Yelena is joining the Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers, but they're led by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, not Ross (although the two may be working together). However, AIM didn't show up, supersoldier serum didn't show up, face-swapping didn't show up (other than the same masks as in previous films), there's no indication that Red Hulk is part of the team (the other member we know about is U.S.Agent, and trailers for Shang Chi imply that Abomination may take the "similar to Hulk" slot instead of Red Hulk), and we're explicitly given mundane explanations for Natasha's hair and vest (rather than those being hints she's really Yelena).
Yup. It's a separate level of entertainment to watch these prediction video after things actually happened to prove it wrong
Honestly I agree, it still works either way, we would get Yelena, Valentina and new-ex-Cap from Falcon and Winter Soldier, Abomination since he showed up in Shang-Chi so is canonically part of the MCU now so that's at the very least 3 I guess enhanced if you count Yelena, John and Abomination then throw in 1 or 2 more and boom, there's your team

In Endgame, her red roots grew out and Red Skull referred to her as "Natasha Romanoff"... If you're saying that's not her in Infinity War, I wonder what would be serious enough that she had to be switched during that time...

ScarJo may not be coming back, and Secretary Ross may have had nothing to do with it, but Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine's appearance at the end of the movie, after showing up in TFATWS, is pretty concrete evidence that we're getting _some_ version of the Dark Avengers. That's exciting.

The only issue I see with the whole Natasha swap theory is that in Endgame when her and Hawkeye go to Vormir to get the Soul Stone Red Skull calls her Natasha Romanaff and says her fathers name and it’s clear that the Red Skull has mystical powers of some sort when it comes to identifying people who seek the soul stone meaning that if it wasn’t really Natasha he would of knew
It is a 5 year skip so they could’ve fixed the swap in time for her to yeet herself off of the Mountian

I was binging Ryan George's pitch meeting and matpats theory videos for the past few days and this exactly the crossover I needed 😂

I can see that, however she doesn’t feel that way, it’s the whole point of her sacrifice in endgame.

The only problem that I had with this switch theory was the emotional attachment that “Natasha” seemed to have with the others and the bond between her and Hawkeye being so strong Natasha would die for him. I think that this is actually explainable through the blip. I think that if Yelena imprisoned the real Natasha before the blip, and then the real Natasha disappeared, she would obviously need to stay in Natasha’s place, Yelena would be stuck as her. Maybe in those five years and before/during infinity war she was able to forge those relationships and it therefore, is why her relationships with the others feels so authentic. Kinda heart wrenching that she was stuck in that fate through disguise.

Fake natasha is actually a spy from the CANCERVERSE plotline. I think the "dark avengers" plotline is a trick and the "revengers from the cancerverse" is actually what's going to happen. Technically they could coincide or the dark avengers plotline could lead into the cancerverse plotline. But if that's the case I. Am. Excited.

The actual Ant-Man is Hank Pym. He would actually be a lot younger but the MCU decided to go another route. To be fair: I'm mainly talking about "Avengers - earth's mightiest heroes", but cartoons are usually rather close to the comics. Hank, Tony and T'chala are all very smart and would most likely be able to create a cure. You might as well bring the Fantastic 4 in too, since they also appear in that show. Reed could also help with it.

I agree Matt. I know Marvel had no choice but to wait a year, I'd made that business decision too. Nobody would've showed up to theatres. But with no movies coming out consistently, that Marvel movie magic feels lost. It'll be hard to restart that.

That’s not really unpopular, all the MCU Movies are good or better but an unpopular opinion is that Iron Man 3 is the best MCU film or the best Iron Man film.

Iron Man 1 and 3 are my favorite Iron Man movies.
Ironman 2 was the unpoupular one, people liked the first movie because of the guns and that intense action so they mixed both in the 3rd movie

That also explains why she woludn't want him to die, since she probably doesn't love him the way the real Natasha does.
