Rick and Morty is an American adult animated science fiction sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Cartoon Network's nighttime programming block Adult Swim. The series follows the misadventures of Rick Sanchez, a cynical mad scientist, and his good-hearted but fretful grandson Morty Smith, who split their time between domestic life and interdimensional adventures that take place across an infinite number of realities, often traveling to other planets and dimensions through portals and on Rick's flying saucer. The general concept of Rick and Morty relies on two conflicting scenarios: domestic family drama and a misanthropic grandfather dragging his grandson into hijinks.

It probably became obvious once he thought about it. He knows they're a lot alike, and his first instinct had been to make his battery universe people flip him off (with a peace sign but he had been told it was insulting). It's pretty obvious that Rick would have done the same thing to his people.
Probably figured it out when Morty started cussing out the bush people

The context is: summer saw the car mentally destroy and physically destroy all that approached the car because Rick said
"Protect summer" so the vehicle cause so much suffering while summer couldn't do anything

The problem is Zeep could have created another miniverse in order to power Rick's battery, then make one for himself and his civilization. They didn't need to return to the cardio machines.

You say that like he could just rebuild his life's work like that. Remember the little white tic tac genius spent his whole life; even missing his father's funeral just to build it. Zeep was playing the cards he was dealt.
Problem is he's supposed to mirror rick. Most of the time he doesn't act and do things outside of his family unless it's nessecary or he learned a lesson. Zeep still had learning to do and hasn't grasped exactly everything rick would.

Ricks ego ruined a whole civilization, as the guys microverse couldve easily also send power to his car battery
It's not sustainable though, since eventually, and they *did* create another microverse ending in endless recursion
At some point all those universes being created to power another bigger universe will stop sending as much energy down the pipeline
What I find funny about this is that Rick purposely goes out of his way to his an entire universe or tiny worlds people to power his car when he could so easily just make an infinite energy fuel or crystal or whatever in like 5 minutes

Yeah. They are developing much faster because time flows faster inside the box.
The question now is, what will happen when you leave them for lets say, 200 years. Would their technology be much more advance than your current ones? How different? How do they develop it? That's something I always thought about when watch this episode.

@@jackcrook6330 I personally think the reason why he hasn't made much of a comeback because the writers already had quite a bit of preplanned story arcs.
A theory I came up with is that "Zeep Xanflorp" escaped the microverse via a portal gun, and in the background of all the current episodes, he has been just screwing around in the many alternate universes that aren't being shown.
I if they do bring him back later, I think it would be a accidental encounter between Rick and Zeep in a random universe

I just realized he knew about the middle finger because he saw Morty flipped the tree people of and was cussing at them.. thatâs how he knew of it..
He knew because he told the people of his own miniverse that (presumably obscene alien gesture) meant "peace among worlds" as a joke. Since he realized over the course of the episode that he and Rick are basically the same, he realized that the gesture Rick showed them must also be obscene.
I like how Alan Tudyk plays every fifth character in this episode

Because is Rick, creating an entire civilization, making it worship him as a divine being, and getting generations to simply start his car, is much more impressive to him.

One of my earliest memories was watching this show. The episode where two faced gets burned was what made me realize what death was (i was 5) and i stayed up all night (another first) scared shitless trying to contemplate eternity and how insufferably boring it would be

This whole scene gets crazy when you realize that Rock was pushing Morty to save himself because Rick had unlimited backups of himself, but only one of this Morty.

This is the episode that opened my eyes. For all we know, the entire universe could just be a science project of a higher being kept in a petri dish for observation.. insane
I really love this episode. It explains dimensions very well. Rick makes their world and we make Rick's world. Either Rick goes on fun adventures or else no one will watch so his world won't exist.
Makes you think if there's something like this going on in our own world, and what is our equivalent of "work to keep our world" is. Maybe it's the reason why there are secret organisations that makes sure this happens. Or nothing at all
