Confronting an Indian SCAMMER (How to Buy REAL Cashmere)

- I got sick of seeing people being scammed by scammers selling fake cashmere and pashminas in India so I went and got scammed to show you how to avoid it and how you can buy real cashmere! Then watch the scammer lie through his teeth that what he's selling is 100% pure cashmere from Keralan monkeys - unbelievable.
Cashmere or Kashmir is the most luxurious wool in the world. It's produced in the state of Jammu & Kashmir in India, hence the name. It comes from the neck region of cashmere goats who only shed once a year. It's known for being extremely thin yet warm. It's the most expensive type of wool in the world. But most small stores selling garments and handicrafts will sell you cheap silk or viscose at insane prices. They'll lie to you and tell you it's 100% pure cashmere or pashmina.
There are a few ways you can tell real cashmere. Firstly it looks like animal hair and not perfectly produced strands of wool. It's super light and warm compared to the fake products. And it always has a matt finish, it's never shiny like silk. Sometimes it is mixed with silk, but the label will tell you that if it's a cashmere silk blend.
At the end of the video, I go to confront the scammer and show you how to get a refund in India! It's no easy feat! They HATE giving refunds.

Then many of these guys get access to the states and other countries where they scam on a daily basis! Gas station scams with indian owners are on the rise in the states. Go to the bigger more well known stores and gas stations and watch them carefully!

Some people may say you are just doing it for views, but I think you are a real hero for doing this. Hopefully, the more scammers you expose, the less scammers there will be. Thanks for doing this to educate tourists and to stand up for people like me who may be too afraid to confront people like that!
Y’know that’s never how it works. They just get better at scamming.
For example the poor Nigerian prince doesn’t need help anymore.. instead, our packages are stuck & need us to go to a pretty indistinguishable amazon||USPS URL & website to re-enter our credit card, address, contact info.
Or better yet, they spend months getting to know us & then begin to tell us about an amazing crypto opportunity. Mimic investment sites so they’re identical, pretend gains, maybe even a good payout. Once you see you’re friend has showed you something real, you won’t hesitate to throw a large lump sum at that next opportunity they point your way (spoiler alert, it ain’t coming back to you.)
I hardly call them scammers, at best you are losing 3 dollars. The real scammers are the telemarketers who scam thousands of dollars from people across the world. All this is just price haggling.

Man I totally know nothing fabric, but when I was small my grand-father had a cashmere sweater, i remember the quality of it was amazing and it was so hot for such a thin fabric, also I never went in India, Pakistan or China but as soon as I saw what that scammer tried to sell you I knew 100% it was silk and not the beautiful cashmere. So I am proud and happy that I could make spot the difference from that side of the screen 😊

just like shirts have %5 nylon or %60 cotton the man may have been telling the truth but its not %100 cashmere but it may have like %1 cashmere in it lol.

Same polices are in online websites. if the product have one percent quality of pashmina then you can't say thay it's not pashmina and in india in every city there are thousands of shop like this ...its our responsibility to verify something before purchasing any item..

Actually India is full of people like this. And they take full advantage of the naive and the cheapskate looking for a bargain. You either do your research and go to a trusted and authorized shop or you are definitely getting scammed.
This is like people going to a back alley in Brooklyn buying Louis Vuitton and a Gucci handbags for $50. You don’t expect that shit to be real, do you?
