Very cool 😎
Thanks Michael!
Beautiful sound to hear
Music to my ears. Thanks for watching!
Great job, one more step checked off.
Can’t wait.
Thanks Rodney. Getting close!
Good job man. That shit never gets old.
Never ever. Thanks Chris!
I was screaming at my computer - ADVANCE, ADVANCE, ADVANCE. Lol. It needs more advance (counter clockwise on dizzy). Easy whirling but backfires is slow timing, hard cranking is too much timing. Brad, that non baffled PCV will pull alot of oil while highway driving. So while on Raceweek, if you notice oil level is low, that's your culprit. It sounds good man. CONGRATS on the successful fire up.
I was screaming "it's too slow"at him too -sluggish acceleration, slight backfire....it all ended ok, tho.
I eventually got it figured out. I probably used to know it needed advance, but I'm re-learning as I go. Once I got it to where it would idle, I put a light on it and realized it needed advanced for sure. She's running like a champ now, so stay tuned for more. Thanks for all the tips. I never thought about the PCV, again, learning as I go so thanks.
Thanks Tony. I got it figured out eventually... Thanks for watching!
@@MontanaGarageWhen you don't do something regularly, it is easy to forget stuff. Man I hope you make it. That will be some cool videos on the event
Thats a WIN ! I think its Awesome !
Every dog has his day! Thanks for watching!
Yeah Buddy. Sweet sound of sucsess.
Thanks Randy. It was great to finally hear it again!
Awesome to hear it bark off, keep up the great work, not much now to have it running properly now.
Thank you Ashley. I am getting close!
That was pretty cool to hear!! Great video. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
Thanks a ton Stanley!
Looking good 👍 keep up the good work
Thanks 👍
Congrats Brad...noise in the pipes is a good thang!!!
The music of our people! Thanks for watching!
The small block is sounding pretty good. Few more tweaks and it should be running nice. Look forward to seeing and hearing things progress. Be safe and stay well.
Thanks Brian!
She's Alive!!!!!!😮😮😮😮
YES, ALIVE! Thanks for watching!
Great job brad advance that dist some🤦🏻♂️
Yep I did eventually. I'm not smart enough to know from the way it was running like some of you guys that it needed advanced. Once I got a light on there, I get it figured out though. I probably used to be, but I'm old and have forgotten at least twice as much as I currently know about cars haha. Thanks for watching!
Always a good feeling to get her running nice job looking good!
Yep, a good feeling indeed. Thanks for watching!
remember to open the garage doors when letting the car idle in the carage, carbon monoxide is dangerous
Yep that's a steller idea. I was just running it for a short time, and it was late at night so I kept the door closed this time. Doesn't take long to stink it up in there though that's for sure. Thanks for watching!
Looking Good Brad! I've Got Cleaned up Around my 63 Impala SS , hope to start on it Soon! Keep Up The Great Work My Friend! Was Dionozied With Type 2 Dieabites. So Finally Got to Feeling Better, That Was Back In January. Keep Up The Great Work My Friend!
Thanks Gary. Sorry to ear about the diabetes. Glad you are feeling better!
@@MontanaGarage Thanks Brad ! Means a Lot My Friend .
You need factory Chevy plug wire holers on all 4 lower valve cover bolts then the 4 wire holder tree or whatever its called on the last 2 rear intake bolts, then your wires won’t be long. Look at pics on a 70 LT1 Z/28 which is what I have.
Thanks for the tip. I'm not sure that's going to help me here, these things are soooo long. I'll figure something out though. Thanks for watching!
Congratulations ; a payback after all your hard work. It is always so good to hear them come to life ( and be ok ) . All is looking good ; thank you for the video.
Thank YOU for watching the video Bob!
Great job on the 55 won't be long to you will be terrorizing the streets and neighbors thanks for sharing some guys would of jacked it up and showed off their 9 inch love the srance
It is always tempting to show of the 9 inch, but stance is everything! Thanks Dave!
Yep .... It runs... Nerves Ned.... but I guess it's good your a little nerves, take your time. So now it has a Heart !!
Better safe than sorry man. I know who wired that thing! Thanks for watching!
Great work Brad! Always a great feeling when you can get a old Chevy to light off.
Gettin' closer👍🏻
I am indeed Chris. It's about time.... Thanks for watching!
Good job! Keep the momentum going.cant wait to see her driving.
Thanks Rusty Rod we are getting close to going for a drive!
I wish I could help I like to set them so barely bump the key and it roars , go by the valves closing and opening on TDC advance it 4 degrees turning it by flywheel that way on race day you can advance to 30 a old timer stock car racer showed me it works even better having a digital timing light to get it exactly perfect , careful with the back fire on holly's blow power valves out . advance has low end power disadvance has high end power
Thanks for the tips. I used to know a lot more about this stuff, but I am re-learning as I go! Thanks for watching!
That’s great Brad. Well on your way. Little more dialing in and you will be there. 👍😎✌️
Yep. I've got here dialed now. Stay tuned... Thanks for watching Kevin!
Brad glad you got it going, that a Big, Big win for sure Bud . from what I can hear sounds like a radical, thumping Motor,👍👍✌️
She's a bit frisky Nothing crazy by today's standards, but it's got enough power to get a guy in trouble. Thanks for watching Lonnie!
Great video Brad! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially the tap tap tap on the battery post😂 I got lucky and didn't have that spark when I did mine.
Man I was nervous to hook the battery up, probably because I know who did the wiring... but mostly because the wiring was only half done and I didn't want to burn the harness down. Tap tap tap is where it's at! Thanks for watching!
Woohoo we have a runner! Nice work man, looking forward to seeing you run her in RMRW. You can do it!
Man I am running out of time. Still trying though...
Congratulations Brad👍Next time you change the oil, knock a hole in the oil filter with a screw driver first , and let the oil drain out before you remove it, will make less of a mess .✌️
Once again it is proven tat all my viewers are smarter than me! Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try next time Mook. Thanks for watching!
Advance the timing .
I did eventually. Thanks!
Brad put the rad on and then try start it more before something happens to it…
Yep, that is exactly what I did right after this. Thanks!
Are you going to tri5 nationals?
Most likely not, but I sure would like to, so maybe??? Thanks for watching!
Please grease your door hinges nothing more annoying then sweeking doors😢
Almost as annoying as someone bitching about another man's squeaky hinges
I don't know, I'm kinda nostalgic for that little squeak. It kind of says welcome to your '55 Chevy to me.... Thanks for watching!
Ok, I know this might start a controversy but, there is no evidence in cars and light trucks that pre-filling an oil filter is any benefit. It’s more of an adopted practice than an actual requirement. Car manufacturers don’t require it, it’s usually messy and the new filter will fill in seconds, especially the mini filters that most cars use today. Just lube the rubber gasket and spin it on. That being said, if it makes you feel better and you have good access without making a mess go for it.
Filling oil filter does help dont know where you were schooled at but factory tech schools always reccomend profiling oil filter .
@@darwinfoster7420 So, in the name of learning and seeing data, did your teachers show any actual test data on how much difference it makes in wear, engine life, performance or other categories. And what do the schools teach about pre-filling and installing a filter that is placed in a very awkward position and how to prevent oil from spilling? I’d love to learn the technique for installing filters that are not vertical without spilling all over the floor.
Yeah 380 I'm not sure of the science or proven statistics. I agree that it doesn't seem that it wouldn't really make much difference, but it does make me feel better, so I always do it when I can. Thanks for watching!
It sure does seem like a good idea...Thanks for watching!
And that right there Montana Garage is the best reason to prefill, because it makes you feel better about your engine. Good luck at RMRW.
