Nice! Nothing like insulating an active Montana Shop and keeping it toasty innthe winter! It is a huge priority and glad to see you are getting this done! Take care Brad and stay warm!
Thanks man. It'll be a bit easier to stay warm now! Thanks for watching!
Hey Brad 👋, looks great. Always try to watch your progress on cars and shop. Thanks for sharing . Good luck on the shoulder surgery. 👍
Thanks man, I appreciate you always watching. 3 days in on surgery, so far so good...
Nice work on the garage Brad , nice to get it done and organize your shop before your surgery, hope that all goes well for you!
Thank you Ray I appreciate that.
That's great to see you make your shop a little more comfortable. I'm digging the progress. Cool video. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
Thanks as always Stanley! Glad you enjoyed it.
I hear ya, a few years ago I blew out a bicep, no work for 3 months. It sucks getting old. And now my back is gone. Work hard they said, that's how you get ahead in life...I hope you heal well.
I hear you about that work thing. I need to find a way to make some money WITHOUT working so dang hard. It is wat it is I guess. I'm five days in and already going bonkers. It's gonna be a loooong three months. Thanks for watching!
Wow you got So much done mostly by yourself! If I lived close to you I would have offered to help with the drywall, taping and bedding. Even the painting. I actually like doing that. Glad you found that washer. I'm sure you had a few sleepless nights wondering where the heck it went. Hope you heal up quickly. 😊
Thanks Gorni. You're welcome to stop by and help anytime. It's only like a 20 hour drive... Yeah it was cool to find the washer for sure. That little thing did cause a bit of stress for sure!
Found the washer, awesome! Garage looks good. Yup, gotta get the banner back up
Thanks Josh. The place isn't the same without the banner. It'll be up soon!
Definitely going to help on the colder days. Looks nice. ✌️😎👍
Thanks a ton Kevin. I am almost looking forward to the cold days now!
Put a Weld Racing decal on your finished wall!!
That'd be cool for sure. I gotta get some cool stuff back up there soon. Thanks for watching!
You will love the heated garage, hope you get it all ceilings to
Yeah it will be nice for sure. I'll get the ceiling done soon I am sure. Thanks for watching!
Best of luck on your surgery. See you when you heal up.
Thank you Dennis. Much appreciated!
❤ when you get your get the those two walls insulating without with a plastic you put the fiberglass on and then you put plastic over and then you insulate wish can you show that can get better you can go I miss watching the show
Thanks for watching hopefully I'll be more consistent on getting new content up. I was told not to add the plastic layer over the paper faced insulation. Different ways to do it i guess...
Your doing great. I'm building another building I think your right pay the bucks get it insulated. Look forward to seeing your videos. I hope you can paint the car, it looks in metal though.
Thanks man. I might paint it someday, but probably not...
Glad to see Moose back in the Game. Damn good natured Cat and very pretty. I missed Him
Yeah Moose needs to get back into action a bit more. I think many people are just here to see him! Thanks for watching!
You did a great job brad , well worth the effort it should be a lot warmer, good luck with your surgery, I had the same surgery and I and good….
Thanks David. Three days in on surgery, so far so good I guess.
So glad you found..”the washer”! You did a great job on the insulation and sheet rock.. you will appreciate it this winter! Hope your shoulder heals perfectly. God bless..
Merry Christmas!
I appreciate the kind words. Merry Christmas to you as well!
Didnt see an update in a while but remembered after I watched some DD. Found the washer nice. Moose sighting! Walls look nice. Good luck with the shoulder surgery
hank you Rick. Much appreciated!
Brad great to see you. I like watching what you're working on.
Thanks Mike. Hope you're having a great weekend!
Looks good. Good luck with the surgery, hope you have a speedy recovery.
Thanks Cory!
Looks very nice 👌
Thanks man!
Brad - The ceiling is supposed to be rocked first so I would pull your top wall pieces for now. Something I did in mine is I didn't mud up the screws, this way you always know exactly where your studs are. Just run a pencil line so you can keep the screws nice and straight, then space evenly and it will look nice. You may want to get or borrow a legit screw gun, it'll save hours. Better yet, just get em up with a few screws and hire a rocker to screw it off, those guys can fly. Guard that shoulder brother.
Thanks for the great tips. I know it's a bit unconventional, but I don't plan on ricking the ceiling. I want to leave the rafters exposed for storage. I have a ton of stuff up there. I plan to just have spray foam insulation under the lid and call it good.
Good call on the dd chevy
I hated to see it go, but it's what I had to do. Thanks for watching!
That, my man, will save you some hard earned money
It cost a bit of hard earned money also, but yes it should save in the long run. Plus, I'm too old to be cold all the time... Thanks for watching!
Good luck with your surgery and rehab. I will enjoy watching the more insulated Montana Garage content. Cheers!! 😎
Thanks Paul. Much appreciated!
Hope you recover quick and you have time to work on your Chevelle.
Thanks Jeff. I am really looking forward to getting going on the Chevelle project. Hopefully I an make that happen soon.
Always wondered why you didn’t insulate. Looks much better. With all the influence from your wife, you aren’t going to have one of the only or only, pink, 55 Chevy? Good luck on your surgery.
Haha. Her influence only goes so far... Thanks for watching!
Looks good..hope your surgery goes well.
Thanks Gary. So far so good...
Make a necklace out of the washer , that way you’ll never lose it again😝
This comment made me realize I don't know where I put it! This washer wants to be lost. I must have put it in my toolbox, right? If I do find it I probably will do something special with it. Thanks for watching Mook!
Hey Brad, I was worried you'd let another winter go by without working in the Garage due to the little bit of cold there is in Montana. (I'm the one who's bugged you the last couple years to insulate the place.) Sorry to hear about your shoulder. Good luck on finishing up the insulating project in the spring. I know where you're coming from, as I did both of my shoulders in years ago waterskiing. I just learned to live with it and never went under the knife. Even though the surgeon recommended it, my GP was totally against it unless I just couldn't live with it. My brother had the surgery and recovered quickly and is back water skiing and playing Hockey. I hope your surgery goes as well, and you are back in the Garage quicker than you think.
Thanks Jim. I am glad to have finally done the insulation project. It was a ton of work as expected, but it will all be worth it especially once the ceiling is done. Sorry you've had to deal with shoulder issues as well. Mine just got to where I wasn't going to able to keep doing my job if I didn't get it fixed. Hopefully I can live through the recovery.
Your plus is reflection of heat and light
Yeah it really would help with that.
Insulation? WOW. Well.. it's a great start. The ceiling/roof does need to be done because heat rises.. and escapes. ;)
I'm sure that you used a mask around all that fiberglass and drywall dust.
I suppose that I can't give you TOO much of a hard time since you had the surgery as an excuse. ;) Hopefully you continue to heal from it.
Nice to see Moose helping.
The washer!!! Cool!
Take care.
Yep, getting fancy around here. I know the ceiling is important, just couldn't make t happen right now. I did wear a mask, which is a lifesaver around the insulation and the massive amounts of dust I made. so much dust... Thanks or watching Joe!
Heck Bud u have got a lot of things done, The insulation and Sheet rock looks great, and makes it alot brighter for sure. Lol remember the oh washer Glad you found it 👍. Hey Brad Good Luck with the shoulder surgery, and listen to the Doctor on that. ✌️
Thanks Lonnie. I have my first physical therapy in the morning, and I plan on doing whatever they tell me to do so I can shift gears again as soon as possible!
Way to go .Looks great
Thanks LJ!
Good luck with the shoulder surgery. Get well soon! Mob on!
Thanks buddy. Currently mobbing on one handed, but still Mobbing on!
Looking good
Thanks man!
Hey, check out cost difference foil face foam board on entire place, besides you' won't have to paint or mud anything!!!
Brad just saying, do what you can!!ROCK &ROLL
Thanks for the tip Carmelo. I had considered doing something like that, but in the end just went with the drywall. At first I wasn't planning on mudding or painting anything, so it got a bit harder than I had planned...
The shop is looking really, really nice. Looking forward to more '55 content. Hope the surgery goes well and hope you can post an update soon. Be safe and stay well.
Think I told you before I've got the walls in the shop insulated and vapour barrier up on walls and ceilings. I've been planning on the ceiling insulation for a long, long time. I've drywalled part of one wall. I've got a very small space heater but it does very little to warm things up. I need to get this done so I can heat the garage to a consistent 60F-65F. I have big plans for doing things in the shop but need something warm enough. Have been having family issues to deal with that eats up extra money, but hopefully that will end soon. Always good to purge the stash once in a while. I do an annual clean-up and purge out in the shop. One weekend in May I go thru the shop, give it a good clean and purge the stuff I've 'stored for use later' but not used in a year.
Thanks Brian so far so good on the surgery and recovery I guess. Cool that you are getting your sop dialed in as well. I'm excited to be able to work out there with a bit more warmth for sure. And the purge was also good, I got rid of a ton of that "saved for later" stuff. Unfortunately I probably still kept too much as well...
The garage is looking good, and good luck with your surgery. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thanks man. Much appreciated and I hope your Christmas and New Year are awesome as well.
Want more small projects? What you looking for?
Thanks Jessie. I have been looking for something cool to add to the projects, but probably going to hold off know due to having surgery.
Brad try greasing casters base and spindle
That would probably help a lot Carmelo. I'll try and do that before I move it again and see if it helps. Thanks!
Forgot to mention Moose is great bet he's tired after all the sheet rock work.
Moose was pretty helpful doing the sheet rock by always walking through the sheet rock mud on the floor and tracking it everywhere. He sure does like to help...
FYI fathers who don't insulate their garages in Montana are known as pop-sicles 😛😊🙃🙃
Haha good one. I've been a popsicle out there many times...
DDSS is sold ! Great decision . That thing was a pile. Dan is a hack .
Yep, it just had to go. Hopefully there will be more projects coming to the shop soon. Thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing!
GET WELL (SHOULDER) Brad !!! YOU DON'T NEED TO FEEL GUILTY or EVEN EXPLAIN WHY YOU SOLD the DD SPEED SHOP CAR. IT'S YOUR CAR, TO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT WITH IT.🙏
Thanks man. I agree. For some reason people got pretty worked up about the DDSS'57 so I just thought I'd explain why I sold it.
👍👍
👊👊👊
befor you move everything back do the ceiling thats were the big heat loss is
Yep, I know most of the heat will go up and out the lid. Just couldn't make it happen right now. I won't have to move quit as much stuff when I get that sprayed, so it shouldn't be too bad. Thanks foe watching!
When do we get to see the chevelle
It's been in a few videos in the past, and you can see it in a few posts over on IG @montanagarage. I'll try and have something on the channel about it again soon. Thanks for watching!
I started watching it before then it just shut off
Sorry I had to reupload it. Thanks for coming back!
@@MontanaGarage always!! 🙏🙏for a speedy recovery
