It truly feels like there's something about putting on that Maple leafs sweater that just disappoints... It feels like if you put the entire Bruins or Blues team in maple leafs jerseys, they would play exactly like the maple leafs because that's just what we are lol. But as I said, I'm sure this is a common feeling with a lot of fans of other struggling teams aswell

I’m an Isles fan, I have no reason to want the Leafs to win, but I love this channel and I’d just like this guy to see them win a series (yes, ultimately it came down to a sense of secondhand sadness/pity).

First thing that popped into my head after the jackets tied the game, "man if the jackets win Steve is gonna freak" was not disappointed.
I literally told my buddy as soon as the game ended “Steve is gonna be pissed and the LFR is gonna be like 7 minutes.”
It's better to be a Leafs fan and lose in the playoffs than to be a Sabre fan who never even got close to playing in the playoffs. At least you guys made the playoffs, the Sabres can't even do that.

I know...I’m not Canadian. And yea, I know I don’t even live there. But a 6-year old from NW Ohio, where corn grows tall and hockey isn’t even a thing, got to go on a business trip with his dad back in 1983 (yes a story in a comment).
He got to visit, what he still describes at 43-yrs old, the greatest place on earth...Toronto, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 That summer, he visited a place called Exhibition Stadium to see his first MLB game of his life, where (wait for it) he watched the Toronto Blue Jays get beat by the Milwaukee Brewers (yea they used to be in the AL)! But it was magical!
Later that same year, the company (then United Tire, now Canadian Tire) told the boys dad that he needed to come back and this time he should bring his son because it was hockey season, hockey, what’s that? So in October, the boy got out of school and went to Maple Leaf Gardens to see the Toronto Maple Leafs!
37-yrs later, the boy is now a man. He’s had plenty of time to start rooting for other teams that might, just might, give more reasons to love those 2 sports than the Toronto teams. But sadly, he hasn’t, didn’t...WILL NEVER! WHY?!? Because no mater how bad it gets, they’re my teams! It’s my town and favorite place to go! The people are wonderful and while I’ve been to many places around the world in my life, no other place or people hold a candle!
So Toronto...Steve...remember, while most of you were born with skates on your feet, wrapped in a warm Leafs sweater the day of your birth (like little Leo-dang thats one cute kid you made😍)...some of us didn’t and even after all the disappointments...they’re MY TEAM TOO! Dude, they're all so young. We kind of crap on them since they stepped in the league. Look, they're not the crappy team we had before blowing leads, this is a talented young team, they will blow leads however they will get better. Frustrating as it is, you all have PTSD from the former crappy teams, we actually have stacked talent now. Look at our top 9 players, they're all relatively inexperienced players that only get better. They're this young and they're this good already.
Sorry I ranted, but my point is blowing a lead with a crappy team is one thing, blowing a lead with a young and talented team is just what happens sometimes until they get older. The solution is literally time.
The solution might start at stop pinching when you are up 3 goals. Tighten up and go 100% defence. Ya think?
