    Orban has made headlines for courting controversial leaders like Trump, Putin and Xi Jinping amongst other global strongmen. But what exactly is his political strategy here? And is this bold foreign policy strategy actually working for Hungary?

      The ideological base of western "right wing parties " are mostly left wing ideologies. From the perspective of the Hungarian right,there are no any real right wing party in Europe similar to the Hungarian right. Most of them adopted the unnatural and unscientific made up LMBTQ rights,transgenderism , they are obsessed with multiculturalism and the vision of a carefree welfare state. They are mostly right wing by name,full with absolutely weightless career politicians who doesn't make a stand for any right wing values because the so called " independent" left wing media,their political opponents and the idiotic celebrities cancelling them and their " career" immediately. So everyone can say that Orbán is isolated, because he's not, he just doesn't waste his time for the current western political elites, because Orbáns Hungary needs trading, business,it needs factories,it needs real work. From the West we only can get idiotic woke work ethics and ten thousands of illegal immigrants from the third world. We don't want to suffer the consequences of the idiotic ideologies of western societies, but we need competitive industries, which are less and less in the West. The sad reality is that the EU and Europe in a very short term is literally dead,in every way. Biologically,economically and culturally.

      I agree with all of the points as a Hungarian, but let’s be absolutely fair….. the migrant workers are not an Orbán thing. This is happening all throughout Eastern Europe as more and more people leave for the West, and I doubt the opposition would fix that. Now, it’s fair to complain about the fact that our government makes the amount of people leaving for the West even higher, but I feel like our obsession with foreign workers nowadays is entirely ignoring that virtually all of Europe, ignoring some small Balkan nations, are like this. Poland, Romania and Czechia also started this trend recently, and as long as there’s globalism and capitalism, foreign workers will go to your country. It is what we Hungarians do as well, just with the West.

      Technically, they can be kicked out if 26 EU members vote to kick them out, but I think it makes more sense to strip Hungary of it's voting rights in the EU, that would make it far harder for Orbán to obstruct the EU, which in turn would isolate Hungary far more in the EU, and it would also make Hungary far less useful for the likes of Trump and Putin, as well as China, which they only care about Orbán because he has powers to obstruct decision-making in the EU, so strip Orbán of that power and he will likely lose friends from all sides without having to kick him out of the EU, that might be enough for the people of Hungary to wake up and give him the boot, either way, Hungary wouldn't be a problem after that.
      If the EU were smart, they would do this before the elections because even thought there's a rise of right wings that are unlikely to support Orbán, that doesn't mean all of them would support stripping Hungary of it's voting rights., so if the EU doesn't get a move on, it might miss its chance after the election.

    • @ferencmori3114
      @ferencmori3114 Před měsícem

      @@cassif19 As I see it, Hungary has had a social crisis for some time now. 1) There’s virtually no opposition, and without proper alternative, it’s very difficult to get rid of Orban. 2) Lots of people, especially less educated one, resonate with the government’s propaganda that is well maintained by continuous brainwashing ads on TV. 3) It’s very hard to mobilise Hungarian people as due to historical reasons, there weren’t many occasions when any type of demonstrations were successful in the past so people have very little faith in organising protests. It doesn’t help that Orban’s Fidesz party started to blacklist teachers who participated in anti-government demonstrations who later faced humiliating disciplinary actions or dismissal. 4) On top of all this, Orban is a very smart and calculating politician who knows Hungarian mindset 100% and always tells his voters whatever they want to hear. Despite acting differently from what he communicates, most people take what he says as it is. Orban doesn’t like educated people as they’re less likely become his voters so he’s systematically weakening our educational system to ensure younger generations would know less. All in all Orban is smart enough to legitimise his heavily autocratic and authoritarian regime where institutionalised corruption is now the norm. What adds fuel to fire is that when being judged by the EU, who even stops paying funds, it only makes Orban worse as he’s turning to China and Russia more rather than seeking cooperation with the EU. Without any doubt, Orban is the most dangerous PM in the EU. He’s most dangerous to his own nation, though.

    One thing about dictators and wannabe dictators, is that it's hard for them to make friends as they are more likely to stab each other in the back, they are usually self-centred on their own interest, which makes it difficult for cooperation to last, because the dagger is always hanging around.
    Countries that are democracies are not so successful by chance, they are so successful because that openness allows them to make far more friends around the world, it also reduces the risk of making big mistakes, politically and economically, China is an example of that, under there current government, they are doing a lot of damage to the country, yet the people have no alternative option because it's a dictatorship, meaning, if the government continues on that path, they end up ruining the country, Turkey is another example, you've got a government that keeps insisting on weird inflation policies and he's doing a lot of damage to the country, in a democracy, any that try to do a lot of damage are quickly thrown out, and why democracies are far more successful, because they can adapt far better to what's going on, without being stubborn on policies that clearly don't work, democracies also have constant pressure from the voters to keep improving things.
    But seriously, when will these dictators learn, you can have your wins here and there, but long term they can't win, but on the plus side, their games with each other is keeping the democracies around the world in power, which most are western.
    Orbán isn't very bright, you might be making friends with other dictators around the world which could backstab him at any time when it suits them, Orbán is alienating his closes partners in Europe where a lot of the countries economic success comes from, it's a high risk move from Orbán that he could end up with no friends and many backstabbers from around the world, but this is why dictatorships are rarely that successful and don't usually last that long, you only have to look through history on that one, they are too stubborn and do too many mistakes because of that, which holds them back and reduce them as a power, yet these countries don't learn lol, if Orbán was smart, he would see that his only real chance of real power would be through the EU, but that means being on friendly terms with a lot of EU countries to push many of your own policies, Germany and France understand that, Hungary doesn't, so what we end up seeing is Hungary being slowly isolated in the EU, which weakens the countries power and longer term could reduce investment in the country and could lead to the country being kicked out of the EU.
    As for his hopes on the rise of the right, I think Orbán is dreaming, a lot of the indicators are showing that even with the parties that could do well, they are not that supportive of Orbán, with the exception of Trump, but he is far less important, what Orbán really needs is support from EU countries, which seems unlikely whichever way the elections go this year, in fact, from the EU's point of view, Trump is a very useful idiot for the EU in a lot of ways.
