Try to observe last season when a fully fit defensive line of Martinez, Shaw, Varane, Dalot/Bissaka was at Ten Hag's disposal. Assuming all this will be the same, Ten Hag invested in Onana, Anthony, Mount, and Hojlund--and perhaps these new players would have done well if the first team members were not plagued with injuries. But, now with a new management structure, it will be different than what we have seen since Ferguson retired. Now is the time to look beyond this setback, and Ten Hag deserves at least another season--given how Garnacho and Mainoo flourished under him. Many say he is tactically inept. So, why then managers like Van Gaal, and Jose failed at United. Try to observe last season when a fully fit defensive line of Martinez, Shaw, Varane, Dalot/Bissaka was at Ten Hag's disposal. Casemiro was playing with confidence, Rashford and Shaw's partnership was amazing, and even without a proper No 9, United finished above expectation. Assuming all this will be the same, Ten Hag invested in Onana, Anthony, Mount, and Hojlund--and perhaps these new players would have done well if the first team members were not plagued with injuries. But, now with a new management structure, it will be different than what we have seen since Ferguson retired. Now is the time to look beyond this setback, and Ten Hag deserves at least another season--given how Garnacho and Mainoo flourished under him. But, one thing for sure is that United can't afford to lose Bruno.
