Once you taste Guyanese version of fried rice you don’t need Chinese anymore. It is marvelous the way you do the rice and I am married to your version. Your ingredients are measured almost on point to the amount of rice. Very good guide.

hi, this is really a nice dish to prepared. Many chinese restaurant here is preparing the dish using the same method as well. But there are a lot of people here who is saying that the chinese are using pork instead of strip chicken (while it is actually strip chicken). So i am wondering of you guys have any ways of explaining to those people that these are not pork meat?😀

I think it would be even more divine if you incorporate Chinese fry rice techniques to your recipe.
Try this one technique and tell me what you think. During the rice segment, boil the rice with the Chinese sauce. After its cooked, with a cold wok pour about 200ml of oil and one egg. Scramble the egg in it cold then slowly add heat. Never stop stirring. Increase heat until close to boiling all the while stirring then add the rice in, low heat and mix the rice with the egg oil thoroughly. If it’s still sticky let it cool off or even put it in the fridge.
When that is done, we will fry the rice with Chinese technique, it will not change the taste of your recipe but will enhance the texture.
With a clean wok (important or the rice will stick to the wok) pour about 2 spoon of oil and bring it to a boil. Maintain high heat then put the rice in. Never stop stirring, flip the wok if you can. Do this for one minute then put the other ingredients in and mix in high heat for another minute and it’s ready to serve.
I guarantee you this will enhance the recipe to another level while maintaining its original taste. Parents used to own a Chinese restaurant in Guyana and that’s how they used to do it. I enjoyed all your vids btw, really brings back memories of childhood.
