Hi Alfredo little tip turn the ignition on when removing the wipers on modern Ford's it activates the wipper motors and locks them in place. Been a windscreen fitter here in the UK for twenty years know like your ethics and attention to detail going to subscribe know great videos
Rudy Fierros clean the lip of the cowling then spray some glass cleaner as lubricant it will slip in easier, you could also install it on the new glass while its on your glass stand just to see how good it fits than carefully remove it.
I have a question regarding urethane application. When should I place the urethane on the glass and when should I place it on the body? Which is better and why? Thanks Alfredo, Kevin.
1 tech I like to apply urethane to glass when the glass has marks as a guide or when the urethane goes exactly around the edge of the glass. If the pinch weld is uneven its best to apply to pinch weld otherwise you’ll have a chance of a leak between urethane and pinch weld. Because when the glass could lift up do to the molding or just because of the glass not having the perfect curvature.
I have a question. I just had my 2013 Ford Fusion Windshield replaced. I noticed when I got home that the perimeter molding (the rubber insert between the glass and the car) is missing. It also looks like they removed the roof molding and the rear windshield molding. I would be more upset about it if I wasn't planning on getting a new car this March, but is this going to cause the windshields to leak??
RJ Schulte not to worry because on this model there is no moldings on the sides or the top, that’s the design on many new models. It shouldn’t leak if they o prepped the bonding surface and apply the urethane correctly.
@@AlfredosAutoGlassRepairCorona I'm having that problem now. I bought a repo. Good car except when it rained I saw some water. No rubber seal either. How can we fix it. Silicone!?
Samer Attallah yes that definitely works. Turn the ignition on to remove them it locks the wipers transmission, then remove wipers. To reinstall turn on ignition on and reinstall windshield wipers.

Any tips on how to get the cowl to fit perfect into the bottom molding on the glass was pretty challenging my first time
