Here at Sun Distributing, we believe that the supplier of the window film should know every aspect of the business. It makes it hard when a tinter or tint shop needs support but their supplier does not know the business from one end to the other. I started as a tinter helper in 1989 and worked my way up to the point of distribution. Along the way I have put together a successful retail tint shop and know every hurdle that a tinter and/or shop owner could face. I believe that there is an extreme value to having a company with our experience in the industry having your back.

Used to static cling my windows when I'd move dorms or apartments back in the day. When people came over for the first time I'd just tell them to look for the one apartment with black windows and that's me😂
Smart man
Why not just give them the number?
@@dongatello6969 in most cases the numbers are posted on the door-side of the building, and parking is on the opposite, window-facing portion of the building.
What you are saying seems to be the most obvious, easiest method of finding their building and room, but spotting a “dark window” while driving through a dorm parking lot may be simpler for some people, lol.
Delivery drivers that have been through the same complex 100 times still have a hard enough time finding the right buildings lol

What’s really funny is tint being illegal yet probably 90% of cops have in on their personal cars but still give us tickets for it.
Rules for thee but not for me

My point was that it's not hypocritical for cops to have it because, it isn't illegal in most places.
I like how in most states window tint is illegal yet you could walk into Walmart and buy it
It's because it's illegal in most states that this stuff is great. Oh sir I do not have window tint then when they get to a safe area boom window tint.
In most states excessive tint is only illegal on the front windows and windshield.
It's not illegal, improper tint levels are illegal. Big difference. And some states don't allow front windshields to be tinted at any level except the top portion
Window tint is not illegal in most states is the issue with your statement. Its actually a factory option or standard feature for nearly every SUVs rear and back windows. Further tint comes in % based levels and in most states its actually only illegal to be darker than a certain percentage. Its also typically illegal to tint your windshield. Just for further record window tint can also be useful in your home if you have certain windows that receive too much sunlight.
It's like how graffiti is illegal but spray paint is sold everywhere. This film has uses outside of the illegal activity so there's no reason why it shouldn't be sold.
I use that static cling tint, in the darkest tint available on the back of all my aquariums. Looks great, so much better than the backdrops they sell for aquariums and it makes the fishes color pop.

Sounds to me like the company making vinyl cling tint needs to work on making an optical grade line. They'd own the market in short order.
For real. This is a decent enough proof of concept that self tinting at home has a market, and products that technically work. But they need to be heavily improved upon, in order for that market to really take off.

Which Tint do you recommend??? Static and Adhesive?
@@alejandroochoa3541 if you’re going to have the film on for any period of time definitely go with adhesive-based film. Static cling film would only be good for a very temporary time. Also static film is rather distorted when looking out and can give a blurry vision. Good luck.

Comical? At what point
In my state I know that your tint is allowed to be a certain percentage of darkness. I know this because my son has received a few tickets for his dark windows which by the way was professionally done, and forced to remove it. @@rayjay4521 dont use cheap tint on a window you want to actually look through. Car windows are generally small so the clarity imperfections aren't incredibly noticeable. This might legit come in handy for a personal project. Will have to tint a visor if my idea to give a illusion of a dark one doesn't work so having some sort of flim that is removable but strudy (so I can mark where eyes are and tint everything but them) will make the whole process MUCH more easier
I use the static cling for night driving. People have those bright leds it makes it hard for me to see. The tint helps since I can remove it the mornings and if I need to go out at night i can slap it back on. It is a little blurry but not bad to the point where it causes difficulties seeing what is behind me.
I used this in 2014 on my van rear windows, it had crazy bubbles but it worked ever since.
Been using this for years. When I go to town, I just pull it off. As I'm leaving town, I stop and quickly re-apply it. I keep the little black squeegee and a mini 8 oz. bottle of baby shampoo and distilled water in my console. Probably takes less than 60 seconds once you're used to doing it. Kespen window film has a static cling vinyl tinted product that is far superior to the Walmart brand. When applied correctly it is crystal clear. The only issue with pealing off any window film is the reapplication requires the glass to be sprayed down. Vinyl window films will eventually break down if removed and reapplied too many times. The upside is they provide an extra leave of protection from break ins and can literally hold shattered glass in place.

i use static cling tint on my car because here in NY your vehicle will fail its annual safety inspection if your front side windows are tinted (they have to be 70% which is see-through fishbowl status). having to remove glue residue is terrible in comparison to removing static cling material which easily goes back on after you pass inspection.

I recently used some of this (Amazon brand of some sort, but overall the same stuff) to tint a few windows in my shop at work. I used all the things I would use with ordinary film (like in the video). It turned out pretty good. It's really pretty easy to work with. Very thick, can be tough to cut, a sharp blade is a must. It looks really good from about 3-5ft away. Even after letting it "cure" a bit, it's still pretty orange peely. This stuff would be fine on a car for the back seats. TRUE, in California it's illegal to tint the (driver or passenger) door windows. Unless the car came that way when the glass had been made at the factory new. Only the back and back side windows are allowed.
You can tint them 70%
However, unlike other states, it’s not really enforced. My sibling has had 20% on their driver and passenger doors for like 7 years now and never been pulled
Cops definitely ask about tint. I was ticketed in my Lincoln ls for the tint being way too dark lol
This is very useful in some EU countries, here it's illegal to have tint on front windows, if they see it they take your car documents and you don't drive the car from there, you have to tow the car.
I actually tryed 3 different removable window tint's until i found out about the "static cling" type, not as clear view as a normal tint but good enough.
As a specialist in this domain, if you have a better alternative to this type of tint, something or somehow a tint that can be removed very easy, i would really appreciate an advice. Thanks.
I used this type of tint, 5% for like 6 months, it was too blurry and i couldn't do it anymore.
They tow your car if you have tint on it?? That sucks
@@semahj they take your car documents and license plate, you don't have the rights to drive it, you have to tow it, take the tint off and tow it again for inspection.
Maybe with the heat wave they will rethink it 😂
@@xastey nah...they don't rethink anything
EU Bull shit
why dark window tint illegal but blinding bright ass headlights not. dumbass laws. police have the darkest tint on all their cars. tint hurts nobody
For real, especially trucks and jeep I thought I’m going to be blind just by looking at their headlights
I was doing that for years but because window goes up and down so often mine ended up inside the car door, so this only works for a while
used this static cling on rear and hatch windows on my 9-5 saab wagon and it came out really good , I'm pretty good with regular tint too so that probably helps tho
Just know if it’s on too long it’s not coming off.
The turbo blew up before that became a problem for me lol
@@gbresaleking lmao😂😂
I used this on my old shit box it worked really well actually, but it was always a bit blurry as you said
