    In a survival situation I think its a good idea to have a flashlight that you can grow crops under inside your bunker. Just sayin.

    If you had read the literature for the flashlight, you would have found that the dimming was anti-burn feature, there’s a sensor mounted in the front to make sure you don’t injure yourself/melt something

    Well on one hand it's bright enough to use as a self-defense weapon in your home and the light would blind the s*** out of the intruder but on the other hand it cost as much as a Glock

    Think I read on an average day the sun puts out approx 10,000 lumens in a 1-square foot area... making this brighter than the sun. I want one!

    I have scoured the interwebs for 20 mins I can not find a rifle mount for this to hang on a Chiappa Little Badger in 22lr ? John does Olight make that too?

    It's got proximity sensors to keep you from blinding yourself. That's why it dims.

    Damn, and I thought my S30R baton III was absurd being finger sized and 1000 lumens... Granted realistically I'd rather have this as it's nice to EDC.

    Probably for under 60 bucks you can get a 2 million candlepower portable/rechargeable spotlight. Then spend the remaining $540 on ammo or something useful

    Got to fondle one of these last weekend at Bladeshow. The guy running the table made us shine it at the ceiling as to not muzzle the fuck out of someone with 25k lumens lol.
    While it's certainly crazy bright, I feel these are more novelty than anything else

    The dimming is a safety feature. If you point it at something close is dims down....so you don't get burned.

    So, it’s a handheld spotlight. That’s pretty cool. Even cooler is that because it’s Gucci and boutique at $600... other competitors will start trying to escalate the Lumens Wars, and we will see a similar handheld spotlight in a couple years for under $200. Love America 🇺🇸

      So much for my limited knowledge of handheld spotlights... a quick search shows the Acebeam x70 and Imalent MS12, at 60000 and 53000 Lumens respectively, and at $450-550 ...🤣

    Imalent dx80 may be brighter but the quality on that POS light they can learn from olight how make proper lights even tho less lumens its ten times more impressive.. there is a reason this light took over 3 years of hard work to get out.

    I have the Acebeam X65-12.000Lumen-1300 meter . I think the Acebeam is better in the field, but the X9 is more fun to play.

    It does a dimming because has a photo sensor that dims if you're too close to objects also it only holds 25000 lumens for about 5 minutes or so

    The xr9 is dimming because it has a proximity sensor to protect it from overheating if the object is too close.

    The light has a proximity sensor that turns it down for safety when it senses something close .That was what you were seeing when you put your hand in front of it.

    It doesnt look bright in the video because he has autoexposure on the camera. If you turn it off, the camera wont dim the video to compensate for the light, which in turn would truly show how bright it is.

      foamysking it has a sensor to prevent that from happening, most lights with 2000+ lumens and a high enough candela will set fires.

    Dimming was caused by the sensor, if something is close it lowers... keeps from making fire.

    He dimming is a feature it has so that u don't blind yourself. Bright ass lights have that light back feature in them when it's shinning off of a close object. Notice how it kept going back and forth yet when u pointed it at the wall behind u it stopped doing it

    You need to set your exposure settings to MANUAL on your camera, otherwise it's not very impressive when you compare brightness up close, with the camera automatically changing exposure to prevent the scene from getting too bright...

      Well, you see, it's been shown that anything more than 1,000 lumens will give you cancer........in Commiefornia.
      Also note: NO ONE NEEDS A 25,000 LUMEN FLASHMAGALIGHTAZINE! All flashlights are now restricted to 10 lumens.

    Go look on Walmart's website. They have a rechargeable LED flashlight with 90000 lumens for less than $27. "90000 lumens Powerful Led Flashlight, XHP70.2 Most Powerful Led Flashlight USB Zoom Rechargeable Torch Waterproof for Outdoor Sport". A 3 year protection plan on it for 4 bucks. Seems like a better deal than this one.

    Nice light, but U should try the LUMINTOP BLF GT Flashlight. It only has 2000 lumem and it's only $299.00. No case, no strap, one led and it take 8-18650 battery. 🔦🐢🔦🐢🔦🐢

    Yes it wasn’t charged,fully, very high protection circuitry, dimming prevents damage , you would not have got 25,000 lumens without fully charging, built for search and rescue. I wish I could own this beast, but it not the biggest monster take a look at imalent, 100,000 lumen monster, all these lights come with. Cooling fans, too much heat, but I enjoyed your vlog.
