  • This comparison of the brightest flashlights of 2017 will help you decide which big lumen monster is right for you. I test and compare lights from 3000-32000 lumens, from the budget to the custom. These are bigger and brighter than your normal every day carry (EDC), but people often ask for recommendations on the best value for the money or just the plain brightest. Manufacturers include Acebeam, Silent Thunder Ordnance, Imalent, Convoy, and Noctigon. I discuss features, User Interfaces, lumen rating, and more in this comprehensive video guide on the torches that output the most light over the past 5 years. Below are links to the individual reviews that break down each light by features, brightness, runtimes, and compare them to other similar flashlights.

    Your reviews are the best. I try watching others but, most of what I come across are vids where they spend half or more of the video looking at the box and paperwork before they show the 🔦 flashlight.

    I love the idea behind this video. You should make a small series of these types of videos comparing one light to another but at their respected price point. Maybe a video dedicated to best throwers and best budget lights next!

    Great selections!!
    Too bad I read so many people having problems with the Acebeam X80. I do like it's UV light from your review as it shows very little visible light with a powerful UV effect. I have no use for the other colors.
    Glad you still put the Meteor among your recommended lights. Still a light I want to buy to put next to my Manker E34.
    The DX80 really showed off it's power by lighting up your garden and still have the hotspot bright enough.
    Thrunite tried hard to keep up with the lumen race but fell quite short.
    Awesome review as always! Best wishes for the coming holidays!

    • @AdvancedKnifeBro
      @AdvancedKnifeBro  Před 6 lety +2

      I had no idea people were having problems. I have had zero with mine. I don't use it a ton though, so maybe that has something to do with it. With big lumen lights they're not daily users, so it's hard for me to get into long term durability- when it isn't used hard like my EDC stuff. The DX80 has a ton of spill as well as that big hotspot. It's a useful beam for sure.

    Really like your video reviews man, I subscribed. Any chance you'll be doing a review on the new Eagtac TX3G Pro USB-C rechargeable light that just came out? I really want a good, floody & bright 1 x 26650 USB rechargeable light that I can carry in my travel bag. I've narrowed down my choice to the Acebeam EC50 II as I like its mode spacing, runtimes & neutral white option.
    However, I have to admit that I really don't trust the quality of Acebeam as they are a new brand to me. I have found too many horror stories online about the EC50 II and it seems like the quality on that particular Acebeam light is pretty much hit or miss. I also feel that they might be updating that light pretty soon. I know I would if I were a representative of Acebeam.
    On another note, I have had an EagTac D25LC2 in my light collection for years now and the thing has been pretty much bulletproof so, I trust Eagtac for providing true quality in their products and not "koala tea" of some other manufacturers.
    My current EDC light is a Zebralight SC600w II L2. While Zebralight makes some incredibly durable flashlights they have fallen behind on some current flashlight features. For instance, none of their current lights even offer USB recharging. I sure wish they'd make a USB rechargeable 1 x 26650 light as that would probably be the most efficient 1 x 26650 light with some excellent runtimes & mode spacing. Anyway, hope you can get your hands on the new Eagtac TX3G Pro... in neutral white of course! ;-)
    I also wanted to ask you if you could please add a test to the USB rechargeable lights in which you test if they can still operate safely while they're being charged.

    • @AdvancedKnifeBro
      @AdvancedKnifeBro  Před 6 lety

      I’ll look into the usb thing. I currently prefer lights that you remove the battery from. Integrated charging adds one more thing to an already complex flashlights to go wrong. My favorite charging system has been Olight magnetic usb system. I probably am not going to review any eagletacs in the near future. I’m doing fewer light reviews because the time I put into them doesn’t match the amount of views I get out of them. I have the emisar D4 coming up and the BLF GT thrower... and a few comparison videos. I’ll look into eagletac lights next year. Thanks for the comment!

    • @payrocoin
      @payrocoin Před 6 lety

      I too prefer lights with batteries that you can charge independently but, the way I see it, if I always had to take out the battery of my smartphone for example to charge it then, that would suck. I agree that an integrated charging circuit in a flashlight is another thing that could lower its durability but, I truly feel that USB charging circuits have come a long way and do offer great reliability in their use.
      I like to think that a USB rechargeable flashlight only adds greater security in the fact that you know that you have a much lesser chance of being left without optimal light because you are just a USB port away from charging the battery instead of needing to wait to get home to use a battery charger or needing to carry a spare battery.
      There have been a few times where my Zebralight has left me with a low output when I needed more light. This is why I bought a Nitecore NU20 headlamp because you can actually use it in all of its modes while it is charging. I go back to battery only mode once it is fully charged though but, it is just an awesome feature to be able to use a light while it is charging. This extends the runtime tremendously. The NU20 is also the only headlamp I have been able to find that offers a high CRI Nichia LED as an option--which is the one I purchased. :-)
      I think the Acebeam EC50 is also capable of being used while it is charging but, I'm not too certain about that as I don't own one.
      It sucks that you are not going to be doing as many flashlight reviews because I find your reviews to be among the most informative, thorough, and entertaining but, I agree that you should be getting more views based on the great quality & information you put out in your videos.
      What are your thoughts on the new 20700 battery form factor that flashlights are now transitioning into? I have already seen reviews of the Acebeam L30 and the Manker U12 and they are pretty impressive lights. The new 20700 battery just might render the 26650 battery obsolete cause the new 20700 batteries can handle more amperage and they seem to be getting a lot more developmental support from battery manufacturers.
      I guess it is only a matter of time before flashlight manufacturers even begin utilizing Tesla's new 21700 form factor. I kinda start to feel bad for the real flashaholics out there. I'm glad I was able to tone down my addiction... a bit. >:-)
      Thank you for the reply.

      @AdvancedKnifeBro  Před 6 lety +2

      There's plenty in the size and Neutral white... but none in the lumens. I mentioned in the video that the above 20,000 lumen range... really over 15,000 lumens only has one or two... and they are in this video. You might want to look at Vihn over on Candle Power Forums... he may have a modded X80. There isn't a production light currently like you want.
