Really great comparison, thanks for doing this! Very useful to see all the different beamshots. Myself I’ve been leaning more towards throw-flooders these days such as the Fenix TK75 2018 Edition. That said, the DX80 is extremely impressive IMO. Especially with that OLED display.

Thanks for this video. I’ve got the Acebeam X80, X45 with the new cree XHP70.2 18000 lumens, Imalent DT70 and my DX80 hopefully by the end of this week. Must say the new X45 is a much better distance thrower (the same as the Imalent DT70 now but much wider beam) and far better tint colour compared to my old X45 cree XHP70. I’m really impressed with it. Cannot wait to test my DX80.
hardus van der hoven I have a NW X45, and I just received my DX80. Let me tell you that the DX80 is scary impressive, even in comparison with the x45. Significantly better throw too.
Does the smooth reflector make any petals on the X45 V2?
Philip Christian must say the new X45 does throw much better nearly 100 meters further then the old. Before my DT70 was my favorite between these two but after replacing it now my first choice is definitely the new X45. I will test my DX80 throwing distance with lux meter and compare it and I will come back to you. Just want to see how far the DX80 will throw further with that 32000 lumens. Hopefully I will have it not later than early next week. Still with customs.

Philip Christian no problem I’ll let you know what the results are after receiving my DX80. My old X45 was around 68Kcd and new X45 around 95Kcd.

I just bought a Fenix tk 75 4000 lumens and it was expensive. Damn! I need to start saving money.
I received the Imalent DX80 2 weeks ago. this light is a serious light..almost a weapon in light form. I can shut off street lights with it. The amount of sheer light this thing produces from something hand-held, i'm surprised that its legal.
I think some countries will ban Hyper-Flashlights soon :(

Do you prefer cw or nw? The color of the X45 looks really nice on the field. For thrower I'm kind of split, to buy the cw or nw version. Can't decide.
Sven Peter I like my tint around 5500-6500k as those temps are the same as the sun at midday. The X45 and other 3000-5000k lights to me look dreadful outside. Normally grey roads look like they are made of sand!!!
5500k on a sunny midday without clouds. 5500k-5800k cloudy. But 6500k in my opinion looks unrealistic on color reproductions. Green looks like gray, washed out. And the spill is much more blue like white, other than the spott. Green looks green with the X45.
New Acebeam X45 with Cree XHP70.2 has 18000 Lumens! no more ugly yellow tint and better spot + more throw. I have both
Daniel Daniels the yellow spot really kills it, I really do prefer 5500-6500k for outside.
Have you heard of the Haikelite MT09R on BLF. The ones being modded by TA is producing 22-23k OTF lumens with great 4000k 80CRI tint, and higher with cooler high binned emitters. It also has the best ramping UI. I would love to see you review that with your stellar new camera.
batman8995 I'll check it out, I only have the D4 and M43 Meteor Nichias at the moment and they both get hot far too quickly.
The MT09R will also get hot quickly if you run it on 100% 23k turbo (TA estimated 1 minute till regulation kicks in depending on temperature). But the ramp is maxed at 50%, which is about 11k-14k lumens and TA said should run for about 3 minutes, which is pretty good. The MT09R is at least as bright as the X80 when using the right emitters and should have better thermal performance. It's worth checking out. Also TA is gauging interest to see if he should manufacture a lumen sphere with meters and everything precalibrated that can read lumen numbers directly without manual calculations. Your reviews would be even more fantastic with lumen measurements.

batman8995 I sometimes use ceiling bounce measurements against similar lights, a thrower will always read higher against a flooder as the throwers beam is concentrated above the light sensor, a sphere would be great for me.

I have Olight x7r and im about to replace it with the Imalent dx80 but i have read many bad results on various pages that it have common problems with the charger getting so hot that it stops charging is it true ??
+ted tedsen OE charger is pretty crappy, but you can buy a cheap laptop charger to replace it. 19-24v 2-4amp 5.5mm x 2.5mm dc plug.

Now i have bought an imalent dx80 it gets hot but the charger is already dead but i have a multi charger i can adjust voltage and it have different dc plugs i can thaw my frozen pitzza but compared with my popcan x7r the imalent dx80 battery lasts much longer as long i staying off the two highest modes I think im keeping the Olight x7r i also have other lights like nitecore tm38 and javalot x3ut and some other

Depends where I am, flood for woods and built up areas, throwers for fields and bays etc.
those areas could pass as bits and pieces settings for Yasnaya Polyana in PUBG....

No not as visible as the old X45. There is a much better improvement in the tint colour. No more that outstanding yellow greenish spot. I’ll prefer this beam colour on top of my DT70.

Which one of this video you like the most?
Sven Peter DX80 is my favorite, long runtimes, doesn't get hot, unbelievable power and usable throw. The DT70 is the most practical though, micro usb charging, lightweight, awesome throw and sweet shaved dome tint.

Sven Peter No, the DT70 gets very hot in just 30 seconds, I haven't managed to get the DX80 hot so far. I've read it used to step down after 10 minutes on the original version but after they revised the driver it's supposed to now step down after 3 minutes. I'll try it in turbo for a bit longer tonight

Depends how wide your hotspot is. The Acebeam X80 is only good up to 75m ish and it has 32500 lumens!
