Suppose that you were sitting down at this table. The napkins are in front of you, which napkin would you take? The one on your ‘left’? Or the one on your ‘right’? The one on your left side? Or the one on your right side? Usually you would take the one on your left side. That is ‘correct’ too. But in a larger sense on society, that is wrong. Perhaps I could even substitute ‘society’ with the ‘Universe’. The correct answer is that ‘It is determined by the one who takes his or her own napkin first.’ …Yes? If the first one takes the napkin to their right, then there’s no choice but for others to also take the ‘right’ napkin. The same goes for the left. Everyone else will take the napkin to their left, because they have no other option. This is ‘society’… Who are the ones that determine the price of land first? There must have been someone who determined the value of money, first. The size of the rails on a train track? The magnitude of electricity? Laws and Regulations? Who was the first to determine these things? Did we all do it, because this is a Republic? Or was it Arbitrary? NO! The one who took the napkin first determined all of these things! The rules of this world are determined by that same principle of ‘right or left?’! In a Society like this table, a state of equilibrium, once one makes the first move, everyone must follow! In every era, this World has been operating by this napkin principle. And the one who ‘takes the napkin first’ must be someone who is respected by all. It’s not that anyone can fulfill this role… Those that are despotic or unworthy will be scorned. And those are the ‘losers’. In the case of this table, the ‘eldest’ or the ‘Master of the party’ will take the napkin first… Because everyone ‘respects’ those individuals.

Imagine: your dream of owning your own restaurant finally came true! Your restaurant is located in a mall food court along with two other competitors. On average the mall receives about 5000 customers per day, and about 2500 visit your location on average. Everything’s looking uphill until the owner of the mall contacts you. “Your restaurant’s doing fantastic, but unfortunately, since you don’t make as money as McDonalds, we’re going to have to relocate you outside the mall on the way out.” It’s an inconvenient spot on the side of the road. Customers have to make a U-Turn just to get to your restaurant. Because of that, average amount of customers falls from 2500 to 300 within a couple of months, and your restaurant closes. Your dream of starting your own business doing what you love shatters right before you because of the mall’s astronomical expectations.

Sad because I have a story drivin cartoon, that plans to be for all audiences, and Disney has great shows already, and I think other channels should have a chance to have good cartoons, I thought nick would be the best place, but now I have no idea where to put it

@@BreakingNuyt To be totally honest Nick doesn't even air that Henry Danger spinoff or any of their live action shows on the block anymore. Those last time slots now most likely go to Spongebob and sometimes the Loud House and get this; The Henry Danger Spinoff airs once a week😅 which is Saturday! What does that tell you guys? No one wants to see your sitcoms no more. Hell the ratings for the spinoff aren't that good and I'm laughing like who the hell called for this spinoff. I didn't call for it or nobody in the back of the room called for it. They don't have that Drake & Josh or even the Icarly formula in them. Despite them airing Spongebob and The Loud House a lot, they are kinda getting the message about the sitcoms.
@@lisettegarcia7013 Invader Zim was a little more reasonable because not only was it out at the wrong time, but episodes weren't always that cheap to produce.

The irony is, Nick's pursuit of the next Spongebob has cost them any potential future hits. Creators will see how the network treats its non-Spongebob animated content and avoid pitching ideas to them. C.H. Greenblatt himself even advised aspiring creators, writters, and animators to avoid pitching to Nick. Nick has honestly dug themselves into a hole and can't afford to be so high maintenance with their animated series. Some of the biggest hit shows (Spongebob included) were far from instant hits and took time to find their audience. Nickelodeon is like a person who forgot where they came from.
Now it's gotten to a point where their milking Spongebob even more after Hillenburg died with all these spin-off shows. Somehow getting a new president made the network WORSE instead of better.

When you look up Nick Animated Shorts, there's a playlist of a bunch of short with a few being straight up pilots of rejected shows. Planet Panic, Harpy Gee, The Girl from Dinosaur Island, Space Mission Danger, Lazybones, Cupcakery of Doom, and so many more could be hit and have an army of fans to support them. Instead, these pilots were not greenlit and Nick is milking there aging franchises to death. They have plenty of chances to be better, but they keep making the same mistakes.
Well at least it's Pony (Don't blame u if u never heard of it) got renewed for a second Season. Here's to hoping they don't cancel it 🤞
How to make a successful Nickelodeon show.
Step 1: Plan your show for years and years
Step 2: Pitch it to Nick
Step 3: They accept.
Step 4: Watch the ratings go up and make more episodes.
Step 5: Watch your show get cancelled on Nicktoons after a year or 2
Step 6: Cry
Step 7: Screw Nick and make a good show to pitch on CN or Disney Channel

I wish I was in charge of Nickelodeon. I would ban modern live action sitcoms and give new cartoons a chance as long as there isn’t any gross out humor. I would love to see an action pact cartoon on Nick sometime in the near future. I’m very disappointed in the people who are in charge of that channel. Nice going Viacom.

True, I’m slowly working on a cartoon, and I now realize nick isn’t the best place to put a story drivin cartoon intended for all audiences. Disney has great cartoons right now, and I’m not sure if I want to put it on Cartoon Network, if it doesn’t work out, then I’ll put it on disney

Next thing you know we are going to get a spinoff about the "my leg" guy. Seriously I'm convinced they waited for steven to die so they can make all of the characters children/give every character a spinoff and multiple movies. I was disgusted when, almost after Hillenburg died, they announced a movie spin-off, it's like they didn't cared for the person who gave them their biggest moneymaker.
I think they made the casagrandes because there were a couple loud house episodes with them as the main characters and nick decided to make that a show

It's overstayed it's welcome for many years now
What’s worse, is that they didn’t even finish season 2 before the finale. We were supposed to get more episode of Rise before the finale, but Nickelodeon rushed the team and gave them 6 weeks to write the finale, and scrap most of the episodes even though they had been scratched. As someone who is currently fighting for the show, we as fans have been sending requests and messages to Netflix for them to hopefully pick it up and finish the season, since they movie is going to premier on their platform next year. Netflix is really our only hope for the creators to tell their full story for Rise, since it got cut short. Not only that, but Nickelodeon cancelled the Rise toys lines even though they were doing well, and about to release a new stock of figurines.

It amazes me how the cerators took 6 weeks to make a finale and imo look like jojo imo. Such a shame nick cancels well at least we get a real ending.
I personally didn't like ROTMNT, mainly because of the animation and the fact that Raph was leader, but yeah it was a good show

Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom, Avatar: TLA and even the Fairly Oddparents were given time to grow as well and the Fairly Oddparents managed to surpass Spongebob dozens of times in the 00s and Avatar: TLA. Hell Avatar managed to win the best cartoon award in 2008 on its last season. Now The KCA is only gonna have Spongebob win when you have so many other cartoons that could of won instead. Hell I'm hoping The Loud House or maybe The Casagrandes will win the KCA next year.

Sure, it had its flaws, especially in Season 2, but Season 3 was my personal favorite.

Seriously, on the times where I actually watch Nick they’re always having a marathon on either Spongebob or Loud House, and *NOTHING* else.
It’s more of just they are scared to have a show that would compete with Spongebob. I mean it screwed over some great shows from The Angry Beavers, MLAATR, Catscratch, Harvey Beaks, and some mediocre shows too.

I understand Greenblatt's disappointment, he wasted 7 years of his life and all for what? Nothing, Nick singlehandlely destroyed hours of work for not only the creator but also the people who worked on the show. Nickelodeon barely gives their own shows any chance, you have to be a god if you want your show to succeed on the network, a prime example is The Loud House, which would it been dead on the water if it wasn't for the luck it had by beating the sponge in ratings.
Harvey Beaks and Welcome to the Wayne would have been great shows for the network if they were given better time slots and a better treatment, i mean, Glitch Techs would it been buried on the ground if it wasn't for the shift to Netflix and is becoming more popular as a result.
At this point, i want Viacom to kill Spongebob just to make Nickelodeon what it used to be, that show is the reason why they still exist to date and stopped putting effort on their variety but without it, they will be forced to ask for new cartoons and give them a chance.

@@frothingbubbles I don't, what i do not respect is Nickelodeon's treatment on Hillenburg's wishes.
It's a slap in the face to the creative teams who often spend several months per episode working on the show.
Even if they cancelled the sponge, we'd most likely see the loud house become the next problem, nick's already running that franchise into the ground.

I kept wondering why Spongebob kept getting grosser and it felt like it was sometimes being thought of as they went along
The gross out humor is the worst it's ever been in season twelve, they do the jokes with patrick way too much. There's also some kind of questionable scenes in the show, like the endings of 'Planton's Old Chum', 'King Plankton' and 'The Hankering'.

Thank you so much for talking about rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles as someone who watched and loved this show from the beginning I can't say enough how much it hurts that Nick cancelled this series so soon especially when the only reason the show wasn't as successful as they'd hoped is because of they're terrible treatment to the series
Barely any promotion, no reruns on the main channel, it's airing schedule was all over the place,no official ways to watch the show for free other than the Nick app and they even cancelled merchandise for this show despite selling well not only all of that but the show was renewed for a second season which was supposed to have 26 episodes in it only for Nick to air 13 episodes of the season and rush to the end meaning 13 episodes of this show are officially never gonna air
I really loved rise of the tmnt and really hope something changes and hope that this show and it's crew can get the love they all deserve one day this show is definitely one of the best versions of TMNT I've ever seen and so is the crew they legit love their jobs and the franchise and even the fans and you can just tell how much love was put into this series
I really hope they'll have a chance to tell the full story they intended with this series hopefully through Netflix as I just know the show and it's crew would be treated much better over there ❤

Oh how we missed the times were Nick had mostly popular cartoons, their TV schedule were 50% cartoons & 50% live action shows, how it had better and funny sitcoms than today's sitcoms, & that most of their live action shows weren't game shows
You’re thinking of Disney Channel, Nickelodeon was 80-90% animation in the mid 00s, meanwhile pre-Hannah Montana Disney Channel walked that fine line between animation and live action with so many shows from both formats that I grew up watching like Kim Possible, American Dragon, Lizzie McGuire, Even Stevens, Lilo And Stitch: The Series, Proud Family, Zack And Cody, That’s So Raven, etc.
TeenNick for their old sitcoms, at night TeenNick switches over to NickRewind, sadly they replaced the scheduled airing of Ren And Stimpy and Danny Phantom with Hey Arnold reruns recently. Seriously we’ve had enough hey arnold

@Chase Studios Cartoon Network? Yeah Um, look at what happened when OK KO premiered; 80% of the schedule was nothing but Teen Titans Go surrounding the premieres. To make matters worse, OK KO only lasted like 2 years due to the ratings taking a dip. To add on, the finales of shows like Regular Show, Uncle Grandpa, etc were treated like dog sh*t. Not much effort into promoting them.
Yeah, try Adult Swim instead!

This problem only did a few good things:
It helped end Breadwinners, Fanboy and Chum-Chum, and Pig, Goat, Banana, Cricket.

Nickelodeon actually cut off the second season short there were supposed to be a lot more episodes before the finale
This reminds me when Transformers Prime Season 3 had to be cut short from 26 to 13 as well which left many incomplete episodes

Rise of the tmnt was actually cut short when it comes to the second season. It was supposed to be 26 but only 13 episodes aired. I loved that show and mad Nick just cares for Sponge Bob and the Loud House

Glitch Techs was originally going to be on the main channel and it would have likely ended up like the other shows you mentioned if it was not (thankfully) picked up by Netflix.

And let us not forget about Glitch Techs! That show, created by Eric Robles and Dan Milano for Nickelodeon and Netflix was - and still is in my opinion - a rising star among cartoons, with great characters and many mysteries yet to be solved. After three seasons, the show is stuck in development hell, with a handful of episodes waiting for production.
I am very confident now, that if the show wouldn't also to Netflix and if the pandemic hadn't stopped production, this show would have been moved to NickToons too.
For now it's still stuck in limbo and only time will tell if that cliffhanger that is the end of season 2 will be resolved (together with all the other secrets in the show.).

Stephen Hillenburg wanted to end his show but Nick decided to over-exaggerate the animation and they made the episodes in the new seasons appear bland. I think Nickelodeon should go to Hell.
I never got into rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles but I was really into the one that came out it 2012. They started the new one right after the other one ended and then they didn't even let the new one go past a couple seasons. What the heck? Why do they do these things?
The news about Rise of the TMNT being cancelled broke my heart. I love that show. I couldn't stop talking about it to my friends. Nicktoons and the Nick app aren't even available in my country so it was nearly impossible for me to watch unless someone was streaming the episodes or unless I found them online somewhere. I only discovered the show through pinterest by accident. That's how little Nickelodeon markets it! I'm glad we're getting a movie but Nick intentionally killed this show, ignored fans and forced the season to be cut short. I wish things were different. :(
I agree with you tho, I'm honestly infuriated that they not only did this with Rise, but continuously shoot themselves in the ass by doing this with all their good shows. But I am really happy that Rise is getting a movie, and because of that a chance at being finished like it was originally meant to be
@@Stonethecartoonenjoyer2622 We can’t even ignore the fact that a lot of people out there were giving Rise of the TMNT negative reviews and calling it a Teen Titans Go ripoff. Those negative reviews is what caused Nickelodeon to pull the plug on it after a year.

Atleast we have Disney to give us amazing cartoons like Gravity Falls, Amphibia, Big Hero 6 The Series, Ducktales, The Owl House etc to keep us happy.
honestly spongebob and the loud house are the only cartoons on nickelodeon. the only shows are just poor attempts at trying to appeal to a younger demographic. the sitcoms are barely entertaining (personally) and just come off as a poor attempt to get as high as other shows (for example, henry danger). so many shows that were either scrapped or cancelled by nick would have done great if on a different platform. honestly would watch cartoon network because it doesn't screw over creators.
The only animation I see on Nickelodeon is SpongeBob and the Loud House. Everything else is just live action, and I don't really want to see live action.
its like most of the shows (as Vailskibum said) just get thrown under the bus if they aren't as successful as spongebob and the loud house, and its a problem because so many creators could finally make something just for it to be discarded like it was a sheet of metal.

The only thing I watch in Nickelodeon is The Loud House, Spongebob and Rabbids Invasion. Everything else are just cartoons that they threw in randomly cause they already have 2 big cartoons. By the way RTMNT looks cool.
