reasons why is because it WAS orange, but only 10 years ago, It is green today. because it rerpresnts their greed today
The slime was a thing on You Can't Do That on Television, and they kinda adopted it since then. That was before they had the splat logo. Not entirely sure why they went with orange, but I guess it kinda compliments the green. Plus, the splat logo could be in any shape you can make it, so. :p

honestly, cartoons these days focuses more on cheesy and boring comedy. Wish they can actually make a different, more action or mystery cartoons, like danny phantom, avatar the last airbender, gravity falls, kim possible, and others. cartoons like fop NEEDS to be stopped :v

I miss the Wild Thornberrys. That cartoon had such a style and look that was just SO quirky, and SO offbeat, I always watched it religiously from the very first episode. But then Spongebob Squarepants had appeared on the scene, and then, suddenly, everything at Nickelodeon started, slowly but gradually, to go downhill......😕
Cheeriness B almost everything these days are more focused on fart jokes and cringe humor, I liked of how things were back in the 80s and 90s where they made shows where it could be for kids but would put in stuff that could be for adults too something that almost any age demographic could enjoy
joshua witt I agree. I feel like Nickelodeon (and many other channels) are too focused on trends and toilet humor. I think Nickelodeon was a lot better in the 90's because it was more timeless, and they did not include as much toilet humor (or if they did, it was more hidden). This is just my opinion, though, so feel free to disagree.

They are a bottomless pit of money.Look at Alex Hirsch.He made Gravity Falls and after it ended he almost instantly got a job as a direct of for some movie and was allowed to create an original show on the Fox channel.(as I recall)

literally i would watch a bunch of late 90s and early 2000s shows as a 2000s child. nickelodeon has had a huge impact in my life and those memories are things i love. it’s sad seeing how they changed the spark in all the old shows. they should bring it back and maybe people would actually like it. 😔👊🏾

In the 2010s, Nick was going down, Cartoon Network was going up as CN Real ended and many iconic shows were made (Gumball, Adventure Time, etc.)

I still have Disney and Nick SceneIt, and I remember sitting in front of the TV for hours on end playing Nick SceneIt, because that was my favorite. I also have the Christmas edition of Nick Picks, which includes (I believe) the original SB christmas episode, rugrats, all grown up, danny phantom, my life as a teenage robot, and fairly odd parents, and chalk zone. :)

Spongebob and the Loud House are the only shows I watch and like. Every other show, I just peeve off my sister roasting them.
Not all hope is lost. In recent years, Nick still has several pieces of content with original animation and storylines of their characters hanging out with each other. Unfortunate that old tradition is revived for Nick Jr and Noggin SVOD only. :(

They could have done more but Nick has something against Eric Robles fbacc got canned before it could get good and glitch techs had to jump through a ton of hoops just to continue production maybe Eric is cursed maybe Nick just doesn't like him we may never know

The old paint splat logo took me back to 2007. I suddenly felt 4 or 5 and smelled the happy meal, and felt the excitement for a new avatar.

well granted most shows on nick today are just spazzed and ridiculous shows, i never really liked most sitcoms on nick, maybe that was just me, i didnt like icarly, but early 00s nick also had some forgettable sitcoms such as kaitlyns way, taina, brothers garcia, etc. i do agree that sense of a nicktoons community back then with bumpers and crossovers really helped alot, unlike today where it seems like their cringe worthingly desperate to be relevant with memes and internet culture which change like every week. as for the fairly odd parents, im pretty sure its not in butch hartmans hands at this point what to do with the show, its in nicks hands, they fund the show, they own it, they tell him what to do, as with all show creators. maybe nick just needs a new ceo, but one thing i think we can all agree on is that new and original creative nicktoons need to be made, none of this spaz sugar rush pointless shit, and feeding our nostalgia addiction isnt the answer either.

This makes me sad and I wish I was born before. I'm grateful for the old Nick Toons I would watch the re-runs of the good shows like Invader Zim and Rugrats but everything went down hill so fast some of these shows I couldn't watch an episode of they were TERRIBLE. God what happened.
