      +Backcountry Bum Thanks and yes it is! Between my full time job and buying my first house this past year all my time seemed to run thin. I am back to normal again and should be producing more videos!

    I looked up the torque specs for the drain and fill plugs and sure enough it said, "just go kinda tight".

    Can I use thew Mobile 1 in front and rear dif and transfer case instead of using 2 different oils ? My 2008 FJ is stock .

      @TunnelVision4x4  Před 6 lety +1

      James Dunkerley you should use the same fluid in front and rear diff. I use a different fluid in my transfer case. On a stock truck I would use the same fluid on all 3.

      I have links in the description, but I use a heavy duty gear lube of 80W-140 (amzn.to/29ZcnIJ). It was recommended by the people who sold me my gears at East coast gear supply. The stock gear oil is 75W-90 (amzn.to/29Zcvbg).

    how much fluid do you put back in?

    • @tomificationable
      @tomificationable Před 7 lety

      Nick Quartier keep filling until it drips out of fill port. I always buy 3 or 4-quarts of 75-90. Don't an forget to add oil additive for limited slip.
