  • The rear pads tend to get stuck in the caliper as the car ages and corrosion on pads and caliper builds up. Like that the pads will not retract after brake pressure has been released, causing them to drag and get very hot. Especially on a race track this will lead to very high pad wear, and overheated pads. As the pad is worn out, metal to metal contact will occur, causing an awful and weird noise when braking.
In this video, how to replace the rear brake pads are shown step by step. And then the new pads, Ferodo DS 2500, are driven on a race track during a track day. The car used is a Renault Megane RS 265 Cup 2013.
