    Brake fluid looks way over due. Pretty sure its normally yellow in colour lol
    Also the state of caliper @ 8:00 lol, you would have been better off just taking a hammer straight to the pin.

    Future ref they wete mr pink pins you removed and also when you're trying to pull it out from the back push the top of the retaining spring in to take the tension off the pin and itl come out quite easily.
    Also push the pistons back whilst pads in and pad will also pull out much easier

    I did my rs 265 the weekend, bastard pins, used a big fat punch at first to get them going, then smaller one to push them through. Was tight to get back in tho, cleaned the pin holes, put new pins in, lubed them up a little.. should be ok for when I change them in the future hopefully. Keep up the good vids man.

    As for bedding in pads i’ve always used pagids bedding in procedure 10 medium pressure stops (60-20mph) and 5/10 hard stops (70+-0mph) iirc. They defo need bedding into the discs though so make sure you do, think pagid did a video ages ago on how to do it.

    Halfords red caliper paint is a good match for the brembo red, I'd stick some of that on the calipers to get them looking good again. It'll not be perfect, but at least they won't look scabby from a distance.

    Next time take the spring load off the first pin you want to remove. Then you won't unnecessarily mash up the pin heads.

  • @tro8p
    @tro8p Před 3 lety +2

    Mate come on man... them poor brembo callipers ahhhh... start from the other side OR get some maulgrips and slide it from the middle along with alittle grease to lube her up
    Also the metal retainer clip push that in at the top then take the pin out to release the tension
    Copper grease is a NO NO.. it doesn’t withhold heat... use actual brake grease
    I find it madness how coppergrease is still getting used for pads... google
    It mate you will see.

  • @smokeygamer1594
    @smokeygamer1594 Před 3 lety +1

      Right @4:30 in the beginning, the metal sheet retainer is on the right position and he didn't take care of that. Really working like this on brake pads, disks or caliper is a proper way to end one's life. I'm scared of that video really.

  • @MrToonfish
    @MrToonfish Před 6 měsíci +1

    This is not a good way to work on brakes at all...Use some brake cleaner first, then buy yourself some proper tool, than take a look at how it's made, how it's done, you changed the brake pads ok, but you almost destroy the caliper. Very sad.
